  1. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vgG0vhy2DD0&feature=youtu.be https://twitter.com/KevinRothrock/status/1353094473950121984 following is a long listen https://twitter.com/inlieuoffunshow/status/1353100477131419650 HA! Good Fun!
  2. am certain there has been an explanation 'bout the microchip. am not curious enough to do a search, but we cannot help but wonder what good (or bad) could a solitary microchip capable o' being injected via a small bore syringe affect? is just a chip, yes? if is a blood stream thing, wouldn't you p00p the thing out in no time anyways? unless this is some kinda sooper science with self replicating nano tech, am not certain exact what one expects from an injected microchip. if bill gates has such advanced paradigm altering tech, then chances are he has already secret taken over the world rendering the plan to inject people with chips unnecessary overkill. the mass microchip injection conspiracy theory has us baffled. HA! Good Fun!
  3. we read, and again, just 'cause they share same sites does not mean they are ideological aligned. look at this board for examples. you obvious didn't bother reading the rest o' the article and instead wanna pull out one seemingly helpful factoid. you did notice the article is trying to explain how q ain't exact the alt-right group folks tend to believe it to be, yes? is an extreme small fringe group which appeals most to individuals with high bs receptivity. "When we combine these four questions into a single summary measure of conspiracy thinking, we find that they are strongly correlated with positive views of QAnon, regardless of the survey respondent’s partisanship." is not racial. is basic conspiracy nutter measures such as low education and a high degree o' dissatisfaction. do a search for bs receptivity if you wish. curious, intelligence is not considered to be direct protection gainst apophenia, but education is. this is in part 'cause measure intelligence is a whole different can o' worms the psych guys don't wanna tackle whereas education levels is objective. is not some kinda white thing. q, for obvious reasons, is gonna appeal less frequent to minorities, but you are a dog with a bone on this and wanna ignore obvious. and yeah, you did lump white voters together based on crude numbers. is the same kinda stoopid which has white folks blaming minorities for crime 'cause look at these fbi numbers. correlative v. causation fails. https://www.pewresearch.org/politics/2020/10/09/the-trump-biden-presidential-contest/pp_2020-10-09_election-and-voter-attitudes_1-04/ college degree holders is not pro trump, and this trend is actual more pronounced (if only slight) mongst white specific. strong favor biden were even more significant mongst white college grads than overall college grads and as education increases, favorability for trump decreases. bs receptivity is highest 'mongst poor educated folks who is losers. denotative losers-- persons who is looking for explanations for why they is getting less while everybody else, in their estimation, is getting more. so yeah, trump, speaking to disaffected and poor educated were natural gonna appeal to conspiracy theory wingnuts such as q adherents. but hey, you wanna see as a white thing, knock yourself out. HA! Good Fun! ps we were gonna wait a couple more posts before stating the obvious, but am already getting bored. assume for the moment white is somehow the core indicator, then how does that change anything? can't cure white. regardless o' the appeal o' a soap box fight 'gainst white bigotry, is fact that as education increases, bs receptivity and appreciation o' demagogues such as trump decreases. reminder, education is not a guaranteed individual cure but is societal inoculation. perhaps you think whitey needs be singled out for the most education? *chuckle* whatever. your flawed correlative observation changes absolute nothing. increase education and the q problem and similar conspiracy and ignorance based obstacles disappear.
  4. first of all, use exit polls is fundamental broken. am not sure if you are being serious. wait. that ain't true. am certain you are serious, but you keep insisting on doing the correlation fail. qanon is a conspiracy theory which claims democrat economic and political leaders is part o' a pedophilia sex ring. you already note that minorities disproportionate vote democrat, so the fact that there is not many minority adherents o' such a conspiracy theory is surprising? attribute to whiteness when obvious reason for democrats to avoid qanon is baseball bat swing to the face obvious? and again, you are trying to lump all white voters into a block. newsflash: there are wealthy white voters who supported trump 'cause their iras is doing swell and they support deregulation. but heck, if poll numbers is a thing... https://www.pewresearch.org/politics/2020/10/09/the-trump-biden-presidential-contest/ notice college grad for whites and overall is virtual identical: 37% trump and 57/58% biden... technical 1% better for white grads and the strong lean for biden were 5% better. this helps explain why biden did so much better in the suburbs than did hillary, despite exit poll numbers. also, is perhaps noteworthy that regardless o' race, as education increases, trump support decreases. https://www.bloomberg.com/graphics/2020-election-swing-state-biden-trump-coalition/ however, in spite o' transactional reasons for voting republican, the numbers for biden amongst white and educated voters improved significant over hillary whereas minority support for biden, in the new age o' qanon, decreased. "In the 13 swing states that turned the 2020 presidential election into a nail biter, suburban and urban counties with the highest share of college educated White people supported Biden by 4.4 more points than they did Hillary Clinton in 2016, according to a Bloomberg analysis of the latest available vote counts from the Associated Press." 'ccording to pew, as recent as march of 2020, 76% of americans didn't even know what qanon was. nevertheless, you are using raw presidential voting numbers to describe those who actually support q silliness? trying to make white voters monolithic is a mistake, a mistake which you keep repeating. https://www.washingtonpost.com/politics/2020/08/03/who-supports-qanon-heres-what-our-new-poll-finds/ might also be a mistake to knee jerk the link 'tween q silliness to white supremacy. you state such as if is axiomatic when facts do not support. sadly, disillusioned qanon folks in the post trump world o' 2021 is being active recruited by white supremacist groups. am foreseeing some success 'cause there is a similarity in educational shortcomings 'tween qanon believers and white supremacists. @Achilles am agreeing 100% that cruz is team evil, or at least so opportunistic as to not make any practical difference. HA! Good Fun!
  5. and again, w/i trump supporters, the ones who is q anon adherents is more likely to be less educated. causation v. correlation fail. trump supporters is tending to be white and his base is, particular after the most recent election, working class. given the polarization in this country, and as q has somehow become an alt-right thing, attributing a racial predisposition would appear to be missing the obvious, no? going out to the suburbs o' college towns and trying to inoculate the white folks 'gainst qanon is gonna be providing diminishing returns as those folks is gonna be few and far between. converse, go to rural and and economic suffering portions o' the country and look for q is gonna be ez. @Achilles ted cruz is a disturbing example o' educated who is clear purposeful appealing to the less educated portions o' the republican party. we would argue cruz is one o' the ten brightest guys in Congress, and am perhaps doing him a disservice to suggest only top ten. like him or not (not) his career as an attorney was impressive and his legal writings reveal a disciplined and insightful intellect. having read the comments sections o' many fox news articles, am worried 'bout the potential to change hearts and minds. the hardcore believers in q and trump is not thinking. they have faith. HA! Good Fun! ps sadly, is multiple qanon folks in congress nowadays other than greene. is questionable how many is genuine believers as 'posed to political opportunists exploiting the shortcomings o' their electorate.
  6. this brought back unfortunate memories. for reasons am not gonna get into, we were not raised by our parents, but we visited 'em during the summers and eventual went to live with 'em for high school years. our mother's mother owned a beauty shop and were a hairdresser. ... we learned "hairdresser" is not some kinda genetic quality passed on with dominant genes from one generation to the next. after a few bad summer haircuts from mom during our youth, we let our hair grow long. more than anything, our long hair were a defense against our mother attempting cut our hair 'cause she were the daughter o' a hairdresser who knew what she were doing. unfortunate, in high school we got our extreme long hair brutal yanked during a football game and we saw stars and jesus and and ineffable colors and shapes as our head and neck snapped most unpleasant. so we got another haircut and mom insisted on doing the job. sophomore picture day were most embarrassing. HA! Good Fun!
  7. your mistake is using a single example to dismiss the benefits o' societal education. of course education on an individual basis is never particular meaningful and you will always be able to find examples o' educated buffoons. meet an educated individual and assume they is free o' conspiracy nonsense or is less bigoted is a mistake. have pointed out on the boards dozens o' times that an education does not confer magical powers o' insight. bs. ba. ma. ms. jd. md. phd. we can all find examples o' individuals with loads o' education initials who is obtuse and willful ignorant. meet bob and assume he cannot be a follower o' q nonsense because he has a degree from princeton should be an obvious fail. however, as a group, people with a degree from princeton is far less likely to be believers in q than is folks who failed to graduate high school. that said, when it comes to conspiracy theory, bs receptivity is most close connected with being a loser... denotative. those who believe they has gotten the fuzzy end o' the lollipop, even more than education, leads to high bs receptivity and a tendency to believe in conspiracy theory. being able to discern stoopid is indeed an education thing, but one need always keep in mind that on an individual basis it is unwise to assume clarity and/or insight 'cause o' a sequence o' pretentious post name initials. never assume education makes a person smart. however, education on a larger scale significant diminishes the likelihood a populace will fall for stoopid. HA! Good Fun! ps perhaps think of education same as vaccine efficacy. even highly efficacious covid-19 vaccines is 'round 90% effective. best vaccines nevertheless will still result in individual people suffering from covid-19 even if they has been vaccinated. however, once enough people get vaccinated, the spread o' the virus diminishes and herd immunity occurs at some not-specific point nullifying the possibility o' pandemic. education is like a vaccine for ignorance and conspiracy. is not perfect, but enough people get educated means no pandemic level o' stoopid.
  8. birx is taking a considerable amount o' heat for not quitting. am thinking that is a red herring. peter navarro once admitted it were his job to come up with factual arguments to support trump's intuition. the trump administration wanted all their experts to follow peter navarro's path. while fauci were effective marginalized early in the pandemic 'cause he disagreed public with the administration, birx continued to relevant to the covid-19 taskforce. am not sure if birx saved any lives by staying within earshot of pence and meadows, but no doubt that were part o' her calculus. in the month previous to the election she were tireless traveling and coordinating with state leadership. she were trying to make a difference and perhaps she was. unfortunate for her, given how hyper polarized and partisan is american politics at the moment (relative speaking,) she made the mistake of appearing to choose the wrong side. no doubt birx saw herself as choosing to help the american people, but for too many, the failure to correct the disinformation were seen as equal complicit as providing bad information. am kinda ambivalent about birx. is unfortunate, but given a lifetime o' service to country, when am reflecting on birx, we inevitable see her squirming silent as trump blathers on 'bout disinfectant and uv light. took birx decades to create an unimpeachable reputation. reality is it required less than a minute o' inaction to gut her credibility. yeah, in the following days after corporal bone spurs opined 'bout the wonderful possibilities o' injecting disinfectant into the human body, birx maybe coulda' fixed what were broken, but she didn't. dunno. am not suggesting birx deserves better from the public or the biden admin, but am disappointed by the waste o' such a valuable resource during a time o' crisis.
  9. am not a marxist, but am attempting to consider how to teach history w/o addressing basic economics, and failing. for a world history class we could devote 50% of a jr. high/high school semester to the inclosure acts alone. however, can't imagine doing so w/o some fundamental economics. 'course we have mentioned all too frequent how we believe history is taught all wrong in US public schools. we might give hurl some slack if he were a music teacher. maybe. in ca nowadays you folks is s'posed to take a holistic approach, no? even the music teacher, in the few schools still teaching music, would cover relevant history as hurl would address relevant music. as to gd, we can't blame friedman or sowell for not letting you know how rich people is actual taxed in the US. HA! Good Fun! ps we did not spell inclosure wrong. am also kinda joking about hurl responsibility. kinda. serious though, am believing what looks like a scattergun approach to teach the significance o' as many relevant persons and events as sooperhumanly possible in a semester is just broken.
  10. These Billionaires Want The Ultra-Wealthy To Pay More In Taxes we mentioned earlier how it is the ordinary and sadly uneducated americans who balk at higher taxes for the rich. current income tax rate for states and fed combined = over 50% in many states, but as you can observe from the luntz link, americans see anything over 50% as unfair and most think that 50% would be an increase. the immediate fixable stuff is not unknown: hedge fund exception, inheritance tax and capital gains. is a reason why buffett, benioff, gates and others is all appearing to plagiarize each other when speaking 'bout taxes. yeah, there needs be a small carve out for ranchers and farmers insofar as inheritance. pre trump, there were 'bout 80 farmers/ranchers per year being affected by inheritance tax in ways unlikely to have been foreseen/contemplated. flat tax o' 15% as some had suggested is absolute nutz. would increase taxes on poorest and lower taxes on richest. wtf? and no, taxation is not theft. basic social contract stuff. again, am blaming hurlshot. HA! Good Fun!
  11. sigh is same folks making same comments ad nauseum. groundhog day all over again. the rich and sooper rich is not making the bulk o' their money from wages and income. is a reason we keep talking capital gains. duh. don't know how many times we need repeat self. we could relink a dozen or so posts. also, there is no fed property tax, and state property tax is frequent a deduction on fed taxes. increase property tax affects ubi not at all 'cause is freaking state/local. again, duh. want multi trillion ubi while further cutting taxes on ultra wealthy. brilliant.as you say, stuff writes itself. hurl needs to work more on education. and for skarp_One, bill gates is most definitely taxed in the US and washington state... washington state which has no state income tax btw. the US has a system which allows for folks such as bezos and gates to amass mind boggling fortunes which would be improbable anywhere else. pass along wealth to next generation does not encourage the next generation to work as hard and given that a large part o' the reason for such fortunes being amassed is the American system, the American system is entitled to a cut once the rich person is dead so as to make possible for more gates and bezos in the next generation. HA! Good Fun!
  12. cut taxes on the rich and create multi trillions o' dollars in ubi simultaneous. yeah, that makes sense. *insert eye roll gif* @Hurlshot mentioned bill gates when taxes were the topic dujour in past months. Bill Gates Urges Lawmakers To Raise Taxes On America’s Billionaires am recommending the following: https://www.goodreads.com/en/book/show/922041.Wealth_and_Our_Commonwealth is bill gates senior and is 2004, but is relevant as much today as it were when written. HA! Good Fun!
  13. is like groundhog day... again. and on the funny/not funny edge o' the political maelstrom, https://www.congress.gov/bill/117th-congress/house-bill/375?q={"search"%3A["boebert"]}&s=7&r=11 will be interesting to see who co-sponsors. HA! Good Fun!

  16. if by "anymore" you mean in the last few months, then you are correct. am admitted curious to see what happens when/if the two most vocal obsidian proponents o' flat tax read your comments. HA! Good Fun!
  17. the problem being that possible the only thing ordinary americans agree 'pon is that taxing people at a rate higher than 50% is bad. not kidding. is an endemic education fail. have democrats and republicans talk 'bout taxes and an overwhelming % agree that tax more than 50% is bad. the hurls in this nation need do a better job o' explaining to kids how taxes actual current work, 'cause most people, in spite o' decades o' paying taxes, don't know what is the current situation much less what were the standard in previous decades. example: earlier we shared a link to a luntz focus group. a story with luntz on this exact issue. GOP pollster: Biden will struggle to unify U.S., middle ground post-Trump ‘doesn’t exist’ video is +5:00, but if you have little patience, ff to 2:50. worse, am exhausted explaining how income tax rate changes and wealth taxes is auto fails when the root problem is capital gains and to a lesser degree the exceptions for hedge fund investors and the current estate tax scheme. capital gains max rate is 20%. as an aside, nothing exposes tourist libertarians for frauds like possible government corruption. same people who would go frothing mad at the suggestion government may, w/o probable cause, go digging through an ordinary citizen's emails and texts based on some pretext will too frequent champion a suggestion which would target dirty politicians for such treatment. use impeachment to avoid all those 4th amendment rights o' bad politicians is okie dokie? HA! Good Fun!
  18. personal, we only got ~1/2 through the clip, so perhaps we missed something. video guy is in favor o' setting precedent o' using impeachment as a public inquest with much more frequency. nevertheless, clip guy makes such an observation in context o' greene's attempt to impeach President biden while recognizing biden were already investigated by senate and house republicans. fbi investigated. multiple IGs had an opportunity to investigate biden. impeachment don't get better investigation. is arguable that impeachment pre-trump at least would force the executive to provide documents and witnesses not otherwise available to IG or Congressional committees, but sadly that particular previous precedent were thrown out the window. now the thing is, the fbi and other law enforcement agencies has policies against divulging details o' dropped investigations for what should be obvious reasons. similar and even more intuitive is the reasons for keeping details o' an investigation quiet while an investigation is ongoing. a reputation may be destroyed by the conclusions people draw from incomplete investigations. impeachments is anything but quiet and is less than ideal when the investigator has the entire US public aware o' who and what is being investigated. messy. particular given the current state o' political polarization, every investigation may be weaponized. once more we will reference biden and his actions regarding the efforts to oust shokin. perhaps no Presidential candidate has been investigated to the degree biden was, but you may review the obsidian board political threads to see how many times biden were accused o' scurrilous and questionable behavior regarding burisma and the ukraine by boardies AFTER the release o' Congressional investigation reports and conclusions which exonerated him. there is already plenty o' legislative capacity for investigations o' political figures. if one wants more transparency, then add more such to the current investigative options... though am actual not in favor o' such as you are effective hamstringing investigators. but again, we got a bit further than 1/2 into the clip, so if he had an epiphany past the 3:00 minute mark, let us know. HA! Good Fun!
  19. q1) dunno. there is a jet black chicken breed which produces black meat. is a few thousand $ for a breeding pair. growing up, we mostly had buff orpington, which were kinda unusual in our neck o' the woods though our grandmother insisted they produced the most eggs. plymouth rock were popular with the neighbors as they handle the cold weather like champs. our infrequent visits to the feed store in wilton, ca tells us that chicks for most future egg layers cost between $4-$5. unsure how much an adult breeding pair costs. no doubt much less than the jet black variety. q2) possibly, but not 'cause o' your chickens. @Raithe the woman who made bernie sanders' mittens has options if you are interested. she is a vermont school teacher who repurposes old sweaters... we read that the interior fleece used in the mittens is actual some kinda recycled plastic. HA! Good Fun! ps a disturbing look through a window into the maga world
  20. HA! Good Fun!
