  1. Thanks Monte and romeo! BTW, anyone else seen this:
  2. Can I take this moment to shamelessly promote a mod I'm contributing to? Europa Barbaorum - we're completely reworking the unit lists, models, and textures, besides just about everything else that isn't hardcoded. It should be out in a somewhat finished state by summer; so it should give you something to enjoy before (and hopefully after) the expansion is released. Here's some links to our weekly "press releases." Enjoy. http://forums.totalwar.org/vb/showthread.php?t=44165 http://forums.totalwar.org/vb/showthread.php?t=43859 http://forums.totalwar.org/vb/showthread.php?t=43480 http://forums.totalwar.org/vb/showthread.php?t=43195 http://forums.totalwar.org/vb/showthread.php?t=42840
  3. You can only train Spartans in Sparta and Syracuse; and then only when you have built the second highest level barracks (army barracks, I think). Of course, if you wanted to, you could have them be trainable in any city, you just need to mess around with one text file - descr_regions.txt.
  4. Actually, I've heard that the next Total War will be a rework of MTW for the RTW engine. Just rumors and innuendos, of course. As for the Rome expansion, I dunno. Maybe be a prequel like MC said, Alexander or earlier. Of course, maybe it will cover the fall of the Roman empire; Hunnic invasions and the Constantinople - Rome split. Whatever CA (or in this case Activision) decides, I hope their next releases give modders an easier time.
  5. Call of Duty Far Cry GTA Vice City Icewind Dale II Icewind Dale Planescape Torment MTW RTW Silent Storm Bloodlines
  6. The legs are too skinny. Fatten up the calves. Other than that - nice work, now go model it!
  7. Relax, that wasn't a knock against the converter you mentionned. It was aimed towards Kaftan. And BTW, the old Atari joysticks kicked ***.
  8. I'm a PC gamer first and foremost, so I love a keyboard and mouse, but it'd be pretty damn stupid to use them with Ninja Gaiden.
  9. My first post was about baking bread in crpgs.
  10. Well, Nivals SStorm did pretty poorly over here. TO the point that their having trouble releasing the expansion here. I seriously doubt that this game has an easy time making it to the states. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> This was posted by Serge Orlovsky a couple of weeks ago in Nival's forum. I'd imagine that one of the "next projects" he is referring to is Night Watch.
  11. Alright, my totally baseless guess is that the metal object is a crashed plane from WWII. The french scientist's baby was taken from her by "them," paralleling the pregant girl's abduction. Someone needs babies on this island. Once they're abducted they're changed somehow and become "them." Oh wait, that does sound like aliens... :D
  12. Ummm, I dunno. They certainly leave it open to guesswork. Wasn't there something about the french survivor having another lover among the group besides her husband? Anyway, I'm just guessing that there's more people on the island than just the french scientist, her son, and the survivors.
  13. Isn't that guy a little old to be her son? I always assumed her son was born on the island, not part of the expedition.
  14. No, that wonderful appellation goes to Camden NJ at the moment.
  15. http://www.cexx.org/vx2.htm Hope it helps
