  1. It becomes tenuous if one starts randomly changing laws (of physics, especially) then there needs to be loads of special-cases to cover up. Magic is an easy short-cut, and avoids the need of working out all the annoying details up front. But it also means that, at any time, magic can change the course of the game in a completely unpredictable way.
  2. Character: Volourn Race: Pink Dwarf Class: None (Haw haw, just kidding. :D) Illusionist. Able to cast powerful dweomers, like Disbelieve Unpalatable Facts (<{POST_SNAPBACK}>) and Magical Volo's Improved Disbelieve Reality (<{POST_SNAPBACK}>) Foods: Ruffles potato crisps and pink lollipops Special Attacks: can confuse once per thread Special Defence: Immune from logic Special Abilities: Can create fantasy RPG modules Special Vulnerabilities: Bioboi
  3. Lovely. We don't need to worry about little things the laws of thermodynamics, creating energy from nothing! Given your assumptions, this is a (near-) perfect answer! Well done!
  4. Feetsies, noses, any other easy-access parts, like the head-mounted stylus ...
  5. Um, the wings were a super-clever design to escape from some sort of incarceration. He actually tells Iccie-baby not to go to close to the Sun, iirc, but then the doofus gets excited by the view.
  6. Nope, it was in the arcade :D ($4 for a game, as long as you beat the pacer). Genesis was where I played Road Rash, because I played it around 1992-ish ...
  7. *Volo casts Magical Volo's Improved Disbelieve Unpalatable Facts* Components Somatic: Place (at least two different) fingers in both ears Vocal: "Lalalalalalalalalalalalalala-I can't hear you-lalalalalalalalala", followed by: "Hey, look over there, it's Elvis!" Casting time Normal Range Touch, special
  8. I remember that game! (Didn't they make a sequel, too?) Actually I also liked Sega Rally (or whatever it was called): the one with the team racing up to four simultaneously on either Beginner (circular), Intermediate or Advanced (ludicrous hairpin bends and suicidal falls off the raised roadway) tracks. Of course the king of ALL rally games is the classic Rally X, on the proper sit down machine ...
  9. I have a printout framed on my wall ... although it might prevent me from getting a good night's sleep ...
  10. You know, this makes me wonder why there aren't more devs/publishers vowing for PC-only releases. More cash (ALOT) for the devs. More cash for the publisher (small, but still) and more cash for the store (minor too)... <{POST_SNAPBACK}> The figures would be the same: you are forgeting to adjust for a higher retail price on console titles.
  11. Okay. Assuming they are either: Might & Magic IV, VIII & IX Heroes of Might & Magic IV, and Might & Magic VIII & IX What's the rating for these ... are they as bad as I suspect ...
  12. He he! I found a copy of Curse of Monkey Island today! Woo-hoo! I also found Heroes of Might & Magic, too, but I didn't know if IV, VIII or IX. Are any of them any good?
  13. So ther is no money. Great. Now: How does everyone get enough food to eat? Who's going to do the labour to get the food? Who's going to repair the magical robots that extrude molten food out of their orifices? Why would they do that? What's in it for them? Starting to understand, yet?
  14. 2TB? Wow, that's a lot of mail.
  15. A teenage mutant ninja Hoskins!
  16. Once the caster's combined intelligence and wisdom scores have fallen below twenty-five then the penalty is taken from charisma, instead. Save versus illusion magic for half damage.
  17. Bob Hoskins played Hockey?
  18. The after effects is a permanent loss of one point of intelligence every time the spell is cast.
  19. There was similar hype about Chernobyl, too.
  20. That's because you don't know anything about game development. <{POST_SNAPBACK}>
  21. Might & Magic. Although not related to each other, the record for games from a franchise is Star Trek (in the order of 20-30, but that includes the first ever game on any computer, a matrix of text-as-graphical "radar" readout of the current sector).
  22. But not Justice.
