  1. I agree with that; less can often be more: it was suspiciously like the body count was added to make up for the lack of cohesion in the plot. That's not a fault: an ethical dilemma does not have a "right" and "wrong" answer. You don't recall the comment (by Callisto) about the magification of mutation? (It was a major theme, what with Jean Grey being the only "category five", and Magneto and Pyro being the only ones in the church that were "category three" or above.) It makes sense in a bell curve distribution that most of the population are only moderately affected. Wow, you really have a lot to learn about relationships! (You should have restrained yourself from that last comment.) You do realise that more than one person can love another AT THE SAME TIME, right? And it is possible to love more than one person at the same time, right? (E.g. it is possible to love both a mother AND a father at the same time.) Hint: the intertron is your friend.
  2. I couldn't agree more. I thought was going to save the day; then again it is perfectly clear that the was only . Cue for the sequels. Which one was , btw? Ahhhh ... memories ... don't forget: Space Ghost and the Herculoids!
  3. Indeedy. I'm sure there are dozens more, too.
  4. Gary might even be inspired to new heights of creativity, with his new-found Return-On-his-Investment helping to keep him fed. Because communism works and mods should be for free. "
  5. e.g. Volcano Dante's Peak As soon as one publisher finds out enough details about another's project, then they will do anything to sabotage it, even up to creating their own version (if they can rush it out before the other one, and take their first weeks' sales).
  6. Wow, I just read a lot bona fide sig quotes!
  7. It's a great RPG ... IN SPACE!
  8. According to the Starforce guys the goal is not to prevent it entirely, but to prevent it being cracked in the first few weeks. If people have to wait they are more likely to actually go out and buy the game in that first little while. Or at least that was the excuse they were handing out when I was over there during the whole Starforce/GalCiv2torrent deal. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> So it's now like Hollywood? Only the first(few) week(s) count for a successful title? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> In this goldfish-length-attention-span era, yes. The probability of little people buying games after the first few weeks is negligible.
  9. Happy marking of the day of your birth. I think that eight is about the perfect age: summer holidays last forever and you wake up in the morning, jumping out of bed, without any coffee or other stimulants ... just as you fall straight to sleep at night. Anyway ... 'nuf said.
  10. Although cause-and-effect is notoriously dificult to determine, the switch to the current nitrogen-oxygen mix caused the very rare event that caused the ATP to become symbiont with single cell organisms, thus providing the lauchpad for the multi-cellular diversity we enjoy in our modern ecosystem.
  11. I shall go and view this tomorrow, now.
  12. Actually, technically speaking, your birthday was almost a score of years ago ... it was the anniversary of your birthday on Friday. " It's just that you haven't developed any stalkers yet.
  13. Noted. Actually, it's only about half a billion years ago that the Earth formed the oxygen-rich (20%) atmosphere; before that it was a lot less hospitable ... unless you are an an
  14. Enjoy my health whilst it lasts and make a difference to this world.
  15. Yeah, but the whole surface of the planet is less than half a million years old (might not be correct figure, no time to look it up: just extemporizing here), meaning that the pressure likely builds up until a critical point at which time there are super eruptions all over the planet to release the pressure and the result is a new blanket of granite / basalt over the surface of the planet ... wait a few thousand years and the surface cools again, and the rince and repeat.
  16. Surely there must be a fatter person eaten than that?
  17. No! It's tr00!!!11!1eleven!one!11
  18. I wonder why you paid to watch Catwoman? The cynic in me has an hypothesis. " She does a full frontal in Monster's Ball ... Jean is hot especially since Famke Janssen is in her 40's. I wonder if the CGI anti aging was used on her? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Why do you suppose that a woman needs assistance to look hawt in her forties? (My partner, who has featured in Italian Vogue, looks younger than most of the teenagers in the local supermarket: she was asked for id last week!) I would contend that the malnourished youngsters that have no life experience to draw on are the ones who try (and fail) to fake allure; give me a woman who is comfortable in her own skin and knows what she wants and how to turn a man on ... come back when you've had a similar experience, and tell me which is better.
  19. Yes. Play lots of games.
  20. Kaftan, businesses are in business to take the revenue available in the (finite) marketplace; to do this it behooves them to keep their competitive business advatanges. In your marketplace, as with many others in the knowledge industry, information is a key competitive element. Keeping IT assets safe and secure from competitors is pretty straight forward, I would think. Would you be happy to see your artwork submitted under someone else's name, and they receive the credit, fudiciary reward and peer laudation? Now think about the head of a creative company, like a developer, whose revenue depends on their novel and inventive work ... do you see the need for it now? Otherwise, why is there an international patent treaty ...?
  21. Firstly, because the investor IS the creative director. They are spending their own money.
  22. I was going to see it tomorrow ... guess I still will, now with heavy heart ...
