Level Cap or Not
hmm, the 'no level cap' guys take the lead... A bad omen.

Level Cap or Not
How much experience was available in Kotor? What was the maximum level you could reach without cheating? With no cap lvl 25 might be possible. That isn't much different to what Kotor2 should offer even without a cap. It's pointless really unless experience is increased or Kotor2 is much longer. 20 is perfect.

Most Powerful Class?
Nope, all the rumors point to Anakin. Sorry!

Corusant in KOTOR II?
I hope it's Coruscant but there's no way to tell from those shots. They do look very similar tho. If they don't include familiar locations (like Jedi Council or Galactic senate) any city planet is the same. I'd hate for Coruscant to be another Taris.

Carth Onassi
What does SNPC stand for? Stupid Nit Picking Carth? I guess it's a Bioware forum thing...

Naming Your Character!!
I use the name generator but it takes a while to find one I like. I prefer a totally original name and this does a good job with that.

Level Cap or Not
You mean like Kotor? Ok, I exaggerated but I did hit the cap long before the end. You're exaggerating? Sounds about right to me. All Bioware games have you hitting the level cap real fast. Let's hope Kotor2 is different then. We can't blame Bioware this time.

Should there be prestige classes?
I think prestige classes should be reserved for your own character. I mean, I have no problem if they do include them for non-Jedi, but I like the PC to be a little more 'special' than the guys around him. It worked fine in HotU tho, so who knows, could be good.

Most Powerful Class?
in EGM it says Sith Lords can "crush enemies wills and corrupt minions" sold yeah, me too. That's how a Sith Lord should be. Can't wait to find out.

Most Powerful Class?
If you want to be a Master (for the name) then I'm afraid you're going to have to accept their limitations too. I don't think they'll be bad with a lightsaber just not as good as a Weapon Master. In fact, WM sounds cool - pretend you're Mace Windu and you're all set. The most balanced prestige class is the Watchman. I'll probably take Consular --> Sith Lord!

Carth Onassi
So did I. Some people also use him on the Leviathan.

Carth is returning.

The Lightsaber
I'd prefer them to nerf force powers and increase lightsaber effectiveness. You don't even need a saber when you can kill almost everything with force wave. The ability to cast hi-level powers multiple times really unbalanced the game. I felt more like a wizard than a Jedi.

Cool idea
I agree with that, but there's no harm in allowing a person to choose. If the user wants to cheapen the dismemberments that's up to them. Choice is never a bad thing.
-
Cool idea
Yes! er, I mean no. But slicing and dicing is a Star Wars tradition. Dismemberments are fine so long as you don't have blood spraying around like Kill Bill. Make 'em an easter egg and you even get to choose.

The Lightsaber
btw, how strong are lightsabers in SW d20? I keep hearing about that but I'm no wiser as to how much better or worse they are than Kotor's implementation. It seems to rely on your own skill than the saber itself. Which isn't a bad idea really. I still think sabers need to be vastly superior to swords.

The Lightsaber
I don't think armor should take damage but any melee weapon without cortosis should be destroyed on contact with a lightsaber. The problem is that cortosis is so common in Kotor. Regular troops should not have access to these weapons. Give them to commanders like the sith governor on Taris. Lightsabers in Kotor are fancy swords with pretty colors. Without the unique crystals they'd actually be worse than blades.
