  1. Moero! Nekketsu Rhythm Damashii Osu! Tatakae! Ouendan 2 http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Moero%21_Nekk...ae%21_Ouendan_2 And I thought the stories in Elite Beat Agent are crazy, this one's insane when you put in a group of hot-blooded cheerleaders, absurb scenarios, awesome music in!
  2. In Hollywood terms: Lead Designer = Director? Creative Lead = Screen writer? Confusing x_x
  3. Part 2 of Tech demo http://kotaku.com/361260/more-alone-in-the...n?autoplay=true This is far more interesting than I thought. The health system seems to be similar to Call of Cthulhu: Dark Corners of the Earth. A preview here: http://gamerhobo.blogspot.com/2008/02/alon...rk-preview.html
  4. JE's Aliens game seems to be at "good"prospect so far.
  5. Can't the Devs stay put around for one complete game cycle at least? :\ It kinds of feel sucky to see Devs posting here around somewhat regularly(?) only to go PONG! on us before they can start showing off the secret project of theirs.
  6. LucaArt's In-House Ronin engine for "Star Wars: The Force Unleashed" may be an alternative for a KOTOR3 game and probably cheaper to license too. http://youtube.com/watch?v=4mBcS8vQL2Y
  7. Probably a brand new project, since he was just recently moved as a position as a Creative Lead from Aliens RPG. To be honest though, I'm pretty much lost of keeping track with Obsidian's project.
  8. Especially the target of a facehugger is five times smaller than the fastest hostile target in RE4, which are the dogs if I am not mistaken.
  9. Keep in mind its also a console game, so its unlikely to be identical facehugger as AvP1. Avp1 Facehugger = Fast, deadly, one hit kill. Qutie impossible to aim with a console controller huh unless you make it crawl like a turtle. So pretty much its going to be a CoD4 kind of dog enemy.
  10. I think it'll work more likely similar to Space Hulk: Vengeance of the Blood Angels Close to a Genestealer http://www.mobygames.com/game/windows/spac...ameShotId,9852/ Winning CQC with a Genestealer http://www.mobygames.com/game/windows/spac...ameShotId,9854/ When a Terminator goes CQC with a Genestealer, it changes into a sort of interactive melee mode where the player has to focus on parrying and striking at the Genestealer at the right time though it would risk being attacked from behind(Instant death) if too much time is taken to deal with the enemy. So basing on this assumption for GB's Aliens, it would provide players a chance to protect themselves from the attack of the Facehugger by dodging its rape tentacles to the point until another player comes to help, or succeed in throwing off the Facehugger. The latter would result in risking being overwhelmed by the Xenomorphs due to the time lost or some HP lost from the struggle. IMO, its better than AvP and AvP2 where the Facehuggers would be an instant kill for players that might ignite frustration to certain player base. This at least provides an opportunity to survive the onslaught or even, promote teamwork to help each other out in such brink to death struggles. Perhaps another most recent example to be used could be Call of Duty 4's dog attack.
  11. Eh? Really? Are they really thick skinned enough to admit that finally?
  12. Would be nifty. Red Faction does that and its part of the gameplay.
  13. More likely the crowd is used for cut-scenes or turret minigames. I doubt there is any such complex game with crowd element with individuals possessing at least acceptable AI guideline that is above the 'dummy' state AI possible yet, unless it is capable of utilising a single core completely. But such claims had been made for Hitman: Blood money. Meh.
  14. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Bcj3jhtBD4Q I'm surprised its running smoothly with such gizmos.
  15. A comment in the GB forum regarding of the context button feature in the Alien FPS game. Kind of wondering if that is even pullable or not in an FPS game.
  16. Kara-Tur is more or less based on the recognisable Asia setting we have. For examples: Shou Lung = China Tu Lung = China Kozakura = Japanese Tuigan = Mongolians ect. The backgrounds are at times more or less based on the existing history. For example, Shou Lung has its own Great Wall called dragon wall. Unfortunately, it is more or less a re-skinned version of Faerun other than the ripped off/inspired setting.
  17. Some new bits of info here: http://www.g4tv.com/thefeed/blog/post/6830...liens_Game.html Namely the story is written by Battle Star Galactica writers and its supposedly to be released in late 2008.
  18. I'm...I'm...I'm.... having an unnatural erection reading that. WHOAH! WHEN IS IT COMING OUT!?
  19. But but but! There is no such thing as perfection! So it can be prettier!
  20. I shudder at the thought of the size of the patch itself.
  21. Yup. Rip out the track Grassland theme and the sea theme from HoMM 4 and if you can, get hold of 12 Kingdom's OST. There are several pieces are definitely of the same tune, albeit using different instruments to play.
  22. Would be nice if the XP2 is an enhanced edition similar to the upcoming The Witcher patch. -New animations. -Prettier bloom. -Better performance. -Sharper textures instead of some fugly looking ones on the armor. -Fix the clipping problems. -Official Portrait packs. -More models. Le sigh.
  23. BiA I think, if I am not mistaken, provides players behind the cover defensive bonus in that, there is a percentage of the shots made on mark to miss if you are behind cover. The only weapon that makes an exception would be the sniper rifle. In this way, BiA promotes the exact gameplay they have in mind: Suppress and flanking.
  24. Very very impressive. http://kotaku.com/357366/alone-in-the-dark-5-tech-demo I certainly love the inventory system. If the abilities shown in the game about merging stuffs like McGuyver plays a huge interesting role in the game instead of a one trick pony, a plausible enemy AI, good Cthulhu inspired story,it could well be better than Resident Evil 4. It certainly managed to capture the atmosphere in terms of graphics and music at least. Will this game finally be a true sequel of the original Alone in the Dark, that scared many players sleepless back then? If pulled off correctly, this game may very well save Atari.
  25. Brothers in Arms AI isn't perfect but definitely not THAT bad. It should work if we consider that they keep refining the existing AIs.
