Coronavirus: Continuing Vigilance
Trolling Link is useless unless you want to pay your way past the Forbes Magazine paywall anyway. Edit: Or just draw some conclusions that are worthy of the article, like they are all sceptical at best, hostile at worst towards Beijing. So, never trusting the Chinese government may be the key to success? I don't think that was what he intended though.

Coronavirus: Continuing Vigilance
The first link worked fine. NYT encourages people to sub, but I don't think they enforce it (although The Guardian is normally my goto paper newpaper sites) Nothing new or surprising, as Australian news (ABC News) pretty much covered all these details as they unfolded. Like watching a car crash in slow motion, without any ability to avoid it. Nice to have it all in one place though. I don't think China is destined for any greatness to be honest. Besides, the EU will fall more and more apart over the years and I would be surprised if the US is around in 100 years time (at least in a recognizable form) Wealth inequality and debt fueled economy isn't working long term, social unrest will eventually be the end.

They did do something... arrested the whistleblower who tried to warn the world and he was dead shortly after 😇

The Best Musical or Comedy Drama Action Film thread (THIS IS THE GENERAL MOVIE STUFF THREAD)
You just need to find the right script, the right cast, the right director etc... well, also happens to be one of my all time favourite movies Edit: I think both Jean Reno and Gary Oldman are underrated, although I can see why the latter gets cast as villain. He does villain good! (checkout The Fifth Element for stellar villainy)

Politics XXXV (Life in the Vault is about to change)
A mix of life experience, news from different countries and my two main sources these days on the internet are BBC and Al Jazeera. I know both are biased, each in their own way, but taking that into consideration, I do think the BBC for example covers Australian politics in a better way than Aussie media does, as they have less vested interest in being biased (if that makes any senses?). I know, locally, the Murdoch press owned media is as dirty as their flagship Fox News and the ABC here are their opposite corner of the ring counterpart. AJ often gives some interesting perspectives on how the world is viewed from angles that most bogans have no clue even existed.

Yeah, they are not all lies and alt right bias, sometimes they do get the weather forecast and sports results correct 👍

Weird - Random - Interesting
Entirely a fictive situation, that's he likely never going to experience, which is why I doubt he really has a clue what he's talking about. Edit: Feel free to mentally substitute with another ethnic group, that has actually been persecuted.

I wonder how much his reflection would be about hope and resilience if he had been in a real crisis, not just a toilet paper shortage and a few weeks without restaurant visits 🤔 Like, if he had had no food and water for days, survived the 217th bombing attack of his village and his family locked up and burned alive for being white? Edit: or even just one of the poor suckers who have now lost their job for a foreseeable future

Not sure how I missed this, it's already a bit old, but still some good jabs at the White House (this one for once not taking aim at Canberra, but Washington)

How much sleep do you get and how do you feel?
Meh, thanks mate. Add 3 years in New Zealand to that 😁 Sound like more than it is really, as they are all "western" type countries. I still wish I had a chance to try out something really different, like Vietnam, Argentina or maybe even South Africa to experience something that was off the beaten path for a west European.

How much sleep do you get and how do you feel?
I was too busy moving interstate and living in hotels for all of March to really notice the corona virus thing. When I suddenly did get time to notice, it was mostly just enjoying the empty city and the lack of people. Switching bed every few days was somewhat disruptive to sleep patterns though 😖

Coronavirus: Continuing Vigilance
Very badly if you're a guy. A week ago, the mortality rates showed that close yo 70% of all deaths are males. Edit: for more explanation about why men have weaker immune systems, try googling the exposed y chromosome Edit2: On a completely not serious note, ever noticed how the y looks like an x with a disability? Like it's missing a leg 😛
