  1. Then why did Yoda himself deflect the incoming lightning straight back to Count Dooku? If Dooku wasn't ready for it, he'd be damaged! Besides, Jedi inflict damaged with their lightsabres. The real Jedi phylosophy doesn't say you may not inflict damage, it says you can to defend yourself. But without anger, fear, impatience, even love or any kind of emotion. So you won't give into it and use it whenever you have that emotion again. When a Jedi uses anger to use the force, he will do it again whever he gets angry and finally lose control over himself. That's why a Jedi cannot give into to any emotion when using the force, so he'll use it only when absolutely necessery, that is why he stays in control. That is why most Light side powers are non-attacking, because he does it without emotion (you only use lightning when you are angry, but then you have no control because you do it because you are angry). non-attacking is not the same as non-damaging. Like what Yoda did, force deflect. He deflected the lightning back to Count Dooku, but Yoda didn't attack him. If Dooku didn't react in time he would have been damaged by his own lightning, by his OWN lightning, by his OWN attack. Yoda didn't attack Dooku. Sith try to use the force to hurt and damage everything, making people weak and defenceless. Jedi try to use the force to protect and defend everything, making people constitutive and harmless. So the sith do damage and the jedi make themself unable to be damaged, that's what's the lightsabre is for. That's my phylosophy about people using the force. "It all based on our certain point of view" - Obi-wan Kenobi
  2. Force drain would be a good light side power. You lower the amount of force power points of your target. Actually, it fits more to universal power " Or what about this one --> force deletion the jedi pushes the force around him away from him, so dark jedi can't hit this jedi with their force powers, but then the jedi also can't use his defensive force power on himself, because he is in that empty space. This power would be good if all your defensive powers are too weak. Or this one --> force gift Your jedi oponent loses some of his side-points. For example, a jedi uses force gift on a sith (which means that the jedi gives his light side force to the sith), then the sith gets more light side points, this means that it costs him more force points to use his powers. And what about this one --> force object Your force user uses this force power to throw an object at your target.
  3. There are also ways to protect you from force breach.
  4. Light side powers are as strong as the dark side. If you use force protection, you can't be harmed by a dark force power (in a succesfull role). if you use force absorb, you absorb the dark force powers into health. (this one is exceptionaly powerful) if you use force deflection, you deflect the dark force power back were it came from. if you use force valor, your entire party fights better. etc. So as you can see, the light side powers are as strong and as cool as the dark side powers. I prefer the light side because you can powerup your intire party with the force, even heal the party all at once.
  5. Yeah the ping anoyes me too, it should be a soft card sound, but I switch sound off whenever I play Pazaak. Offcourse it's just a slight modification compared with blackjack. But I like Pazaak even more, probably because it has decreasing-number cards .
  6. Everyone speaks tuff on their side of choice. The truth is they're both equally strong, but it is the personality of a person and the percentage of control one has over the force that decides which one is stronger. Which side of the force you'r on doesn't mather. What good does it do when you use force lightning, force choke, force yell, force burn, ... when your opponent just absorbs all that, or worse ... deflects it? But if the neutral option was available, I'd choose that one. The neutral Jedi are the survivors, they don't intervene with other people's business, they are very strong and one with the force, but are not bound on laws, codes and shifts. You can use it for yourself or for whatever you want. You don't guard peace and you do not destroy it, you don't strive to be in the council and you don't want to rule the galaxy. Neutral is better, because you rule your own self, you are 100% free.
  7. I like Pazaak alot in KOTOR1, so much I wanted to play it outside the game too, and even on multiplayer. But why can't we? In the game it's just a small number of opponents, only 1 per cantina, and you can only play until their money is out. For ingame gameplay that is enough ofcourse. But I like Pazaak and want to play if more often, without starting the game, even on my laptop were I can't run the game. So my suggestion is, plz make Pazaak (and the next cardgame in KOTOR2) playable outside the game. And maybe with a multiplayer option, that would be so awesome.
  8. I might be wrong, but when I look close to the pictures I notice that the lightsabres are different from eachother.
  9. I think we will see Carth again because now we'll visit his home planet. Mission would be cool as well because I could play Pazaak for free with her. I didn't like Canderous, always whining about his stupid war, instead of concentrating on the task at hand. I never used Canderous, the only reason why I had him in my party is because I wanted everyone (evil, neutral or good), and hell I got everyone, and everyone survived at the end of the game. But Canderous did suck, after two or three times I just stopped conversating with him, always talking about the past and his advices were
  10. I prefered only Bastilla as Jedi partymember. Because I like the 'master-apprentice' thing, were she's my master and I'm the apprentice. And as third partymember I prefered Carth. Also because this was the most storybased choice of party selection. All other members were just sidequest character, not important to the story, and there comments within conversations were either neutral or they didn't know what they were saying. While Carth and Bastilla are the main characters, and they were always related to the story, it is best to have them with you when doing main quests. But sometimes Bastilla wasn't available, then I used that black and neutral Jedi ( can't remember his name). And I called for T3 from time to time whenever I needed him. Infact I always wanted to adventure with a party of 4 members instead of three.
  11. LOL what message ? Link ? Anyway, Malak sucks. He joined the dark side. Ergo, he was weak. Ergo, he's dead.
  12. How did he beat Malak?
  13. Well I think Anakin is holding a purple lightsaber. Obi-Wan's saber is still blue and is more affected by the lightning and red background. It may be because of color mixes, like in Episode 1 Qui-Gon's saber sometimes looked yellow. It could be that Anakin just killed Mace Windu, he's going to die anyway. All Jedi die except Obi-Wan and Yoda. It could be that his lightsabercolor is changing to red because he turns evil. First blue, then blue + red, and finally red. If dark Jedi could choose their color, not all of them would have a red one. So it's got to be the dark side of the force that makes the beam go red.
  14. Well, I like them all. But it also depends on which genre of gaming you like. I prefer a mix between RPG and FPS (deus ex, omikron, system shock, ...), so I have to say that Jedi Outcast and Jedi Academy are my favorites. Then Kotor. I mostly prefer Jedi Knight saga because there you can be a Jedi and do lightsaber duals. But in KOTOR you have your freedom, better story and more realistic duals.
  15. At last, this seems to be a good movie :D Oh please, beg the force that I'm right!
  16. Boy, thats RIGHT. But its not the point!(the next has nothing to do with you:) WHY THE HELL, LUCAS GAVE THE EMEROR A LIGHTSABER? YOU SEE, WHEN I SAW YODA FIGHTING DOOKU, I WAS DISAPOINTED.Yoda is not a MELEE fighter. HE HAS WISDOM BEYOND ANY FIGHT!!!!!!! THAT FIGHT, AND PROBABLY THE NEXT FIGHT WITH THE EMPEROR, WILL BE THE ULTIMATE LAME THING IN THE WHOLE SW UNIVERSE! Where is the whol f****g phyolosophy????? Now the movie is closer to the modern action movies. RIP Star Wars. F*** you, Lucas. I feel sorry for you. Oh, I' m out of the trance state and I'm sorry if I offended someone. Except Lucas. Thats my post. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> You are right. But I wasn't dissapointed with the Dooku fight. Dooku was empowered by the Sith Lord and therefor Dooku felt stronger then ever. Their knowledge of the force was equal so they had to decide the contest with their skills with the lightsaber, Yoda was much stronger and Dooku ran away like a chicken (dont worry, he wont live for long). I liked the fight with Yoda, because he didn't took his lightsaber at the start. He only used it to defend himself, it's Dooku who started the lightsaber fight. This way, we discovered new powers of the lightside, deflection and obsorbtion. Notice that Yoda never attacked, and notice that his lightsaber style is unique, noticed that Dooku used Obi-wan and Anakin to escape and that Yoda choosed to save them instead of striking Dooku down. This fight had a morale. I think that the fight with the Sith Lord won't be just lightsaber dualing. Maybe it's not even his lightsaber, if it's Yoda he's fighting the dual can't be decided by the knowledge of the force Still, one thing I won't like, that Yoda didn't kill him. But I still look at EP4, 5 and 6 as a seperate trilogy. Notice how Lucas managed to ruin the EP6 DVD movie .
  17. That pic is fake. Emperor Palpatine does not have a lightsaber. If he does in EP3 then George Lucas made an awful mistake. Darth Vader: "This is his lightsaber." Emperor Palpatine:"Ah yes, a Jedi's weapon."
  18. Only the weak fall to the dark side. Dark side means that you can't control yourself. Being in the dark side does not mean you rule the galaxy, only the Sith Lord does and he is
  19. No Master Jedi! Release your anger, only the weak fall to the dark side, join the path of the light side and only then you'll be strong enough to resist Baneblade, he will destroy himself, let the dark side finish him and let the light side build you ...
  20. One can wonder why so many have single lightsaber in movies, maybe it because they focus more on force power training but yet you hardly see them use anything aside from lightsaber in movies? But i guess it the mystery of THE SECRET OF 1HAND LIGHT SABER, lol!!!!! <{POST_SNAPBACK}> LOL try handling one stick, then two sticks, then one long stick as staff. Then you'll see while one stick is better, why Jedi prefer standard lightsabre and why in real life warriors prefered one sword.
  21. Too bad, I'd loved to create me own hilt. Choose the size and wides and heights etc. A complete architecture of your lightsaber with a blue print. would be cool.
  22. If you get the site fully white or fully red you get a reward. A wallpaper, which wallpaper depends on the side you've chosen. Of course from time to time you have to answer some questions. And I think some of those question are really hints for the final game. For example, that bounty hunter that wants to give you the location of the spice smuggling for a fee of 15000 credits. I answered this question right, and if the force is with me you should remember this information for KOTOR2, I think it might even save your life (or at least 15000 credits lol)
  23. And you fail to comprehend the corrupting influence of the dark side. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> And you the persuading powers of the light side. (and I didn't even mention the large amount of friends you have to back you up)
  24. I just finished the trials on the official website, both for dark side and light side. You get a nice reward for each side. Also I guess that some of the questions you get on the side are hints for the upcoming game. Like this bounty hunter who wants to reveal the location of the secret spice smuggling camp for a large amount of credits, carefull what you answer (I was correct btw). I think that this is a very very good hint for KOTOR2.
  25. Yes, but for a light side character. In a black robe. I love the power of the light side dressed up in a dark style.
