Unlikely. As I said, Lini's power *used to* work correctly in the Farm - so the code for it already exists apparently. OTOH, Lini's bug seems to be consistent with the bug revealed at the Veils of Pride (described by Irgy) above, so I have to wander if Lini fell victim to a game-wide change of Recharge ppowers code, or is it a bug that somehow got replicated through half a dozen heroes...

Why not? You're still discarding a weapon for its power after all (the difference being that MC can also discard *other* cards for its own power). What tripped me up is, that with MC the 'Discard' button is in essence only a shortcut to say "...and discard *this* particular card" for the 'Discard 1 card?" prompt you get when you press the 'Reveal' button. Personally, I expected (and think would be much more user-friendly if you're playing MC often) that 'Reveal' should mean "...and I don't want to play the greater power", while only when you press the 'Discard' button the game will throw up a prompt "Select a card to discard"

Avoid acquiring boons
Longshot11 replied to Elaborigen's question in Pathfinder Adventures: Technical Support (Spoiler Warning!)
While I fully support they finally implement "decline to acquire", what I don't get is - why doesn't anyone in that location just discard their own items (so they have nothing to banish, if the location is triggered)? Am i missing something? I concur! You can't afford to burn items just so you don't Banish them (though the net effect on card count is the same). Besides, some Items are too useful to have in your hand (and indeed, your strategy may be built around them, at least in part). This is another example of where the failure of the digital to implement the physical is incomplete or defective and therefore irritating, to say the least. I'm not saying you two are not right, but what I use as a general strategy: If I have people with no items in starting hand (hello, Seelah) - I send them in that location. If not - I go for other locations first; if I encounter an item somewhere else - I make a reasonable effort to acquire it, and then go to the Vault on the next turn with that character. If I don't encounter an item in this turn - I discard all items (preferably, from the character with the least quantity/quality of items) - this guy goes to the Vault next. An important thing to note is that you only need to obtain ONE crappy item somewhere else to entirely circumvent the Vault's drawback: once you have this as insurance, you can explore there freely; if you acquire an item from the location - you banish the first one, but now you have the second one as insurance, and so you move on... -
Vic's example would be more applicable if it was in regard to a location, not a bane. The issue with the Farmhouse, is that it is its power/effects should process first when an Ally is played. It took a little while for the gameplay clarification to come out, but there is a temporary limbo when you discard a card that exists between your hand and the discard pile. In this short space, Lini's power usually activates and takes over. But at the Farmhouse, the Location Powers reroute the card to the bury pile instead. Mummy's Mask has this explanation under "Playing Cards": Anyway, where's @269Hawkmoon when you need him? I fear Obsidian probably has him imprisoned somewhere trying to untangle all the rules issues. I'm familiar with the limbo rule you talk about, and if it was indeed the case you would be right. The fact is, since "discard" never happens for Lini (because she recharges *INSTEAD*), per Vic's quote, the card never goes to the limbo in the first place - you pay the *cost* for playing the power by recharging the card, not by discarding it - and before you play the card, there's nothing for the Farmhouse to take effect on. In essence, Vic's quote means exactly that Lini "rewrites" the card, as you put it. At any rate, I can see we'll have to agree to disagree pending an official word

^ That. Mike's -by his own words- 'unofficial' call, was later overturned when it was established that when "X happens instead of Y - then Y never happened at all". So, (when choosing to do so!) Lini never discards her animals for their powers - she directly recharges them, without any interim state of the card that would trigger the Golden Rule and invoke the Farmhouse power. Do you have a reference for this? http://paizo.com/threads/rzs2t0h7?putrid-ooze#17 EDIT: Note Vic's example with armors, and just apply it to Lini VS Farmhouse to see why Ethics Gradient's post above gives incorrect picture of what actually happens. Of course, OTOH, Hannibal is exactly right the the app implementation of Lini's power does first discard the ally and only then allow you to recharge (which would account why the app buries your ally, as the code equivalent of the Golden Rule probably kicks in). However, there *were* previous builds that Lini's power was properly implemented (yes, the ally was still shown as discarded, but then you got to recharge it before being buried). I don't know if the current situation is an accidental new version bug, or if a dev decided to change it based on Mike's old post.

- In Shimmering Veils of Pride, Seelah encounters Simulacrum of Vraxeris - using blessings and her Holy Strength power, she succeeds the BYA Wisdom check - her hand is *still* recharged! (I may have failed a recharge check for an Aid spell in between - maybe that's the cause?) - but this bug has already been reported - still, she beats Vraxeris to a pulp and closes the location - the villain Jordimandus is revealed to be in the location... only, except the location remaining open and Jordimandus left as the only card within, the location is closed and Jordimandus is shuffled (I think with the 'escaping villain' animation) into the only other open location!! - I don't know if the villain was treated as 'escaping' and if more blessings from the Vault would've been shuffled if more locations were open

Unlikely. That bastard doesn't even care if you defeat him, so you have no say in the rerolls. My record with him is 6 successive undefeats - even after my hand was wiped and I had no chance to beat him after the first one! On the bright side (for me) - I never rolled 1-2 in probably 6+ encounters with Ordikon...

Jordimandus Bug
Longshot11 replied to Atrus's question in Pathfinder Adventures: Technical Support (Spoiler Warning!)
I have to say, last night I played the scenario twice (due to its other bug - progression break if you kill all villains without all locations being perma-closed) and Jordimandius behaved as expected. I will point out that in both cases, Jordi was cornered, so I don't know if this is relevant to him escaping after you kill his monster or not. -
Тhe powers that are supposed to work after the location is closed remain written in the 'Location' box when the location closes ("Throne Room" is one such example). Others cease to exist immediately (see: defeating a Henchman and closing the Sandpoint Cathedral: even though you defeated a monster, the location is now closed, it's power no longer 'exists' and so you don't get to draw a Blessing from your discard pile)

Green-tinted Seoni
Longshot11 posted a question in Pathfinder Adventures: Technical Support (Spoiler Warning!)
When selected, Seoni appears green-tinted on the post-scenario Deck Menagement and on the Loot card Reward Screens (curiously, she appears fine in the Menage Decks screen accessed from the world Map). Presumably, on these screens she appears in a lower art layer than the green tint that's supposed to highlight her selection. -
The blessing was played on Sajan - he failed the Fortitude check - after discarding cards from Sajan's deck, the game switched to the Combat check VS Azaven - there were 3 dice before any powers/cards were played - by the color of the dice, I could tell they're added by the same hero that played BoCaylean on the BYA check
-
- I corner and defeat Azaven - in the drop-down menu wit Modifiers (where the Scenario Powers and other effects are), a new entry appears, called "Damage" - when examined, this entry displays Azaven's card on the screen - this seems to have no effect whatsoever, and is not connected to any scenario or Azaven powers ?!? EDIT: The above happened when the first C&D villain in the scenario was Azaven When on another run, the first C&D was Jordimandus - the very same thing happened, only his "Modifier" was called "Recharge", instead of "Damage"
-
EDIT: In another run, he failed to roll the very first time he was encountered (and escaped) , so apparently the bug is neither connected to beating him with the same character, nor to being cornered. HOWEVER: I did notice that both times this happened, it was in the Desecrated Vault Original post: Alternatively, this bug may not be connected to Villain being cornered: I have already beaten his smug metal mug, like 4 times during the scenario, and I'm pretty sure at least one of them was with Valeros (during all those times, he always rolled for being undefeated, as intended, but also he was never cornered...). This final time, when he was cornered and didn't roll his power - I again defeated him with Valeros (so maybe his power "the first time you would defeat Ordikon this turn..." is instead coded to track "the first time you would defeat Ordikon with *this character*...?)
