But you can't really compare the two because Halo didn't rely on the storyline as much as it did its excellent gameplay (something K2 could have improved on, I think). If you look, you'll find KOTOR fans care more about the storyline than Halo fans (although both shared similar endings). In Halo, it was the gameplay and the individual moments of excitement and tension that it relied on. And while K2 certainly had a plot, I found it kind of boring, and IMO it could have been done way better. I thought K1's plot was a lot better, and not nearly as shallow as some claim it was. :D <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Ironic, that you say Halo 1 didnt rely on plot, but its gameplay, but I find that Halo's story was FAR better than Halo 2's story...and in fact, in comparison from KOTOR 1 to KOTOR 2 vs Halo to Halo 2...I think the KOTOR 1 to KOTOR 2 was much smoother, as far as continuation...Halo 2 was a ****ing joke man. And I am a Halo fan...Kind of....Soldier of Fortune 2 for the PC is better imo

not true...the distance from the blade to handle is the same on each side...if you held it out to hit someone long ways to keep distance....it would be the same as holding a regular saber at them...but this time there is another saber coming back at you

It is because Vader was shown in the very first movie of the trilogy which everyone knows or has seen, even non-starwars fans.... How many movies has Vader been in? 4 out of 6, and his character before Vader was in the other 2....it's because the series is about him, how he got turned to the darkside....by the way....WHO TURNED HIM TO THE DARKSIDE!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Sidious/Palpatine... how many movies was he in of the old famous trilogy....1....well...now.....2...kinda...empire doesnt really count. This isnt the most well known villain...its the best

When I played KOTOR.....I loved it...thought it was the best star wars story I've seen in a long time, if not abit better than the movies. After replaying it alot and I mean ALOT...the story was still strong.... but then after reading forums and stuff I realised that the story wasnt that indepth and almost linear...still loved it. After playing KOTOR 2...I thought...what a great story, excellent and well done...up until the dantoine "ending" of the game...we all know about that. And at first after beating the game I was like...wtf!? But after playing it over and over again, I realised it's really not that bad, you can live with it...especially after reading these forums and seeing so many ppl complain...I did "not" want to be "that" guy...haha... Then I realised...that there is most likely going to be a K3....and K2 had an excellent story for an rpg for the second story of the trilogy... and then after playing K2 alot...I went and played K1... and the story is MUCH better...after K2's depecitons of what happened with Revan.... everything the characters say in k1 about revan means alot more, and there are alot more hidden things/possibilitys u can conclude from ur own imagination...that weren there b4 K2... So now... I'd say K1 has the better story...only because of K2...and mostly because it flows better

It works, but some places you can only get certain items...the random loot, I've noticed, is not everywhere

The thing about Maul tho, is that the actor who played him was some kung foo guy who was really really skilled and made maul that much better...but in concept of character creation Lucas Wanted dooku to be the fast smooth elegant one, Maul was supposed to be brash, and even tho christopher lee has been a swordman in many movies over the years, he is older now, and most of it wasn't him fighting...it was digital...because he was fighting yoda....little green digital puke stain. lol....but I think Dooku is my favorite Sith in the movies. He's not whiny/a moron like vader....Sidious was my favorite...still is...just not when it comes to fighting...I didnt like how it came out in ep 3...something seemed off...and maul is my second fav. but dooku is number one...he was highly intelligent and handled himself proper even tho he was evil...just a pimp..only bad thing was he trusted Sidious...so he wasn't that smart...maybe I'm confusing intelligence with charisma?

Palpatine/Sidious all the way... and Palpatine was doing dirty work...he killed his Sith Master...became Sith Lord....all because his master trusted him.... ever since then he has been manipulating others and abusing their trust... maul trusted him.....dead dooku trusted him....dead Anakin trusted him...converted... luke doubted him....."almost dead..." heh Palpatine went out and found dooku after he heard dooku left the order...he convereted him to teh darkside... thats doing work he found/kidnapped Maul and trained him as a youngster to become a Sith Warrior thats doing some work and leaving the senate offices... he worked his way up in the senate by using maul to kill leaders... He has all these loyal and devoted, extremely powerful allys that do all this work for him....but its not like he's paying them....he has done something to show his power to them all...and he is so evil that he hides his true intentions from his followers, he just uses ppl one after another... Do not tell me palpatine is a coward he is an evil genius and sorry he didnt go out and kill each jedi spread out across the galaxy...but I dont think he had the time to cross lightyears and lighyears of space from planet to planet where the jedi were stationed and find and kill each of them and still run the senate....thats stupid... just because he doesn't do it, it doesn't mean he couldnt. or isnt able to.... he just works smart, not hard

I think the Sith used a certain crystal, I forget what it's called, but it was from a certain planet and the crystals were heated until they burned red or something. tieng together with the burning passion of their hatred towards the Jedi, and their blades were supposed to be constructed of a slightly different energy source...if I remember right. But that was also from a website, which I can't remember, which is usually a shotty source for information.
