Why do I care that K2, a great and respected RPG!, doesn't match up to Halo2?? A game in a completely different genre?? Maybe K2 cares more about story and gameplay then 8.5+ graphics. People who judge games solely by graphics are often new gamers. Like, why do you care if they have 8.5 graphics or 9 graphics? It won't really change the way K2 is played. I bet it runs smoother because they are humble and don't need to show off their graphic capabilities. O, not to mention games like Half-Life, Diablo2, Starcraft which are all like 6 year old games with horrible graphics but many people still play them and other games like them.

good thread! romance can really affect the plot as chris said earlier. Once again ( no surprise ), KOTOR2 goes a step further and has romances that don't only affect direct plot but indirectly affect future plot. I would wonder if you were to have a romance with a person from your party. How would that affect the gameplay/combat?? PPL say you can't judge a game you haven't played... but with KOTOR2 it's diff... you can judge it's gameplay because it's the same structure as the last one.. only with improvements... the real judging will be of the plot. P.S. Hrmm if there is "one" remaining jedi and pretty much the universe at this point is being controlled by the sith, what do you expect? A shiny holy light and happy sunshine for every planet? I enjoy this theme. Besides, everyone knows 1 jedi outnumbered by countless sith makes for a better story. It'd be boring if the republic ruled and everyone was happy and no laws were being broken. Hrmmmm they only allow humans for the PC because it is the msot relative story. A big part of RPG's is depth and story so it is more believable and easy to lose yourself in a game if you're a human char. Personally, I can say I'd get bored playing an annoying twilek or a dumb gamorrean.

There is temptation to be DS... I mean who wouldn't want to be apart of the strongest power in the galaxy and cruch the last jedi remaining. DS temptations are about greed and power which is why people often take that route. And your right there is the LS temptation of being in a great struggle and outnumbered wherever you go. There is temptation on both sides... and perhaps where temptation lacks, curiosity leads the way.

Actually I have seen that movie... unlike you I stretch beyond my taste in plots and watch even the most stupid movies... Let's just say I was extremely disappointed with the tumor that movie gave me.

A dull repetative show/comedy that explores the various uses of duct tape. It's host is accompanied by a mentally handicapped nerd with a electronic keyboard strapped to his shoulder that controls the studio settings.

If you believe in balance so much then how could you agree with your statement? If a jedi starts off in K2 with a lightsabre they'd be virtually unbeatable on Pegasus and that would ruin the game in the first hours it starts. It's not like the sentinals and consulars' powers are fully powered and working either... in terms of all 3 classes they each have they're strengths and weaknesses. There are other forms of fighting for a guardian, it's not like you'll never get a lightsabre, because you will eventually. Also I never liked the "you wake up naked on a cell", they tend to be anoying as crap scenarios and I had enough of then How do you prefer to wake up from a spaceship crash landing??? Clean and fine and you can dance around with your unbalanced lightsabre guardian? Hah... sounds like your just beating around the bush so you have something to argue about.

The goal is to make it more challenging... that's a good thing for any RPG as involved as the KOTOR series. If everything is given to you at the beginning then what is the point? Enjoy the journey and enjoy the great rewards in the end.
