I said the should have started Harvey 4 games ago. The guy was released by San Jose, after they shoved him down to the minors for a bit of time. That kind of treatment will give a guy an axe to grind, and he showed it in game 6. Not that I could watch...I'm so pissed at my cable company. Not only did they black out the OLN coverage, they played a baseball game over the Sharks. They put the hockey game on some extra channel that isn't even available in my area. I will be shooting someone if this isn't fixed by next season.

I would say the HoMM series is best played with a friend or two in hotseat mode. Those are my best memories of the game. Since I don't live in a frat house anymore, I doubt the game will have the same appeal.

I'm picking Edmonton versus Buffalo for the Cup. Pride dictates that I now root for Edmonton for the rest of the playoffs. Buffalo just has too much depth, but Carolina has proven me wrong twice already.

Well, San Jose likely would have steamrolled Colorado, much like the Ducks did. Colorado was by far the weakest team to advance. That means they get rest, while Calgary and Edmonton would likely have a physical series. The trouble here is, even if San Jose pulls off two more wins, they are seriously beat up. Now Edmonton seems to be built to withstand serious punishment, so IF they advance, they will probably be in good shape against Anahiem.

HoMM was not the first of it's kind. In fact, I believe Warlords came out first. Masters of Magic might be the original fantasy style game like this, but I wouldn't be surprised if there was something before. Anyways, the single player demo was awesome. I'll be picking this up whenever my funds are adequate.

Carolina was my only surprise so far in this round. I figured the devils would put the hurt on them. I'm not surprised by the way the San Jose-Edmonton series is goin, but I'm definitely unhappy about it. I blame Calgary for the whole ordeal, honestly.

Last night I was lacing up my new skates and I tore up my fingers. It's really odd, I was just pulling on them, and suddenly I see blood. Anyways, I injured the finger I scroll the mouse with, and it's bugging me.

The Sharks have been horrid on face-offs for awhile. Goc was getting clobbered most of the series before the last game. I would actually say it's the weakest part of their game. When they win face-offs, it's a lot harder to take the puck from them. But they have a lot of young centers, and when you look at the best face-off men in the league, they tend to be older. I think it's definitely an experience issue.

Eventually the home PC and the entertainment system will be completely combined. I know we have them now, but not enough people make use of them. It is still a long ways off, because there is no viable replacement for the keyboard. My guess is that once voice recognition software is perfected, you will not need to type everything and we will have less reason to sit at a desk.

Yeah, I was pretty disappointed to hear that. It definitely gives a black eye to San Jose that people would boo Canada's anthem.

The calls are pretty tight in this game so far. That's good, as that was the standard that was set in the beginning of the season.

Nope. 45 minutes until game time.

I think the market is currently big enough, and diverse enough, to support all three consoles. Internationally, I think the PS3 will probably sell more units. But in the US, I see the 360 staying competitive. The Wii really markets to a different demographic. So my answer is all three will continue to grow.

I'm re-quoting myself because Hades and Darque didn't really address my questions at all, they just tried to poke fun. I know what the acronym RTS stands for, but it's very general. Currently, the majority of games labeled RTS are clones of Command and Conquer (technically Dune) and Warcraft. This is not that type of RTS. So should it be given another genre? Does Myth and Total War deserve another genre?

Actually, for a moment I thought the fans were booing, but I think they were cheering the singer on. If there was booing, it was drowned out by the applause.

Yeah, the missed calls are on both sides of the ice. Still, it changes the game.

Look, I'm not trying to take anything away from the Oilers, but the ref's are useless at this point. They aren't even making the easy calls. Guys are getting hooked and slashed all over the ice and there has been nothing. I'm soooooo pissed right now. I'm also not too happy at the fact the Sharks aren't rolling with it. They had the lead and need to start clicking again.

Why does everyone keep calling this an RTS? This isn't anything like a standard RTS. Was Myth an RTS? Is the combat aspect of Total War games an RTS? It really needs a different acronym.

This isn't really an argument. Consoles will always be cheaper in terms of gaming bang. But PC's are so much more. It's silly to debate (even though we've had the same debate ad nauseum here.)

Ok, I just watched a rather long preview that I downloaded off my 360. I died a little inside. It was like Unreal Tournament with magic. It looked great, but any resemblance to the Shadowrun PnP game dies at the concept of American Indians versus Techies. I wanted to reach in and strangle the design team for raping one of my favorite licenses.

But this isn't an RTS, it's supposed to be more like Myth or Total War. That means there shouldn't be any building. You should be focusing more on unit positions, formations, and morale. Mus already stated this.

So...are we just making glib comments, or is anyone going to play the game?

I'm not sure what this really means for the series. I actually expected the Oil to take game 3, since a 6 game winning streak is usually where the Sharks drop one. But I didn't expect a triple OT game. Who is this worse for? Edmonton dominated for long stretches, which is great for their confidence, but it took way too long to put the game away. San Jose withstood a ton of pressure, and Toskala proved his mettle, but they lost. They also expended a lot of energy for a losing effort. Would it have been better to lose in regulation? Game 4 is the real test.
