I don't think I can name a film where Tom Cruise was a negative to the equation. He's a fantastic actor. I don't let his loony cult stuff interfere with my ability to enjoy a good movie.

There are games that have done it well, but overall it is pretty jarring. I think it is very different than movies or TV because you are actually controlling the character. You invest yourself into one person, and then you get jumped to another. Indigo Prophecy did it well though, and it was necessary to move the storyline forward.

Hmm, I think Dumbledore fits the Old Ben Kenobi role better than Hagrid, but I won't spoil why for sluggo. Ron Weasely is no Harrison Ford!

Transporter 3 - I'm a fan of Jason Statham and the previous two Transporter movies, and I thought 3 was decent. The romance was crap, but the action was great. I'd say this was the worst of the three, but not by a ton. It just had a very obnoxious love interest, really.

That happens to me a lot too. You would be surprised at how many folks read your posts here but don't say anything. I used to lurk a lot and read folks posts without responding. Sometimes it helps to post more detail about what, exactly, you are doing in Mass Effect. It often sparks discussions. I've been absolutely addicted to Mount and Blade. It's a bit of a tough game, but I've been trying to help build up my little village that the King of the Nords granted me. I'm up to about 55 soldiers in my army, not quite enough to lead a siege, although I've helped win a few. My guy is pretty awesome but I still get beat every once in awhile, it's tough to fight off ten guys in this game!

There really isn't much of a gray area here. When you download media, or make available for download, when that media isn't being offered for free, it is theft. You are stealing from the creator and the publisher, who have all put time and money into creating that product. I'm not sure why people have such a hard time understanding that.

Whoo, what kind of RV? I've got my summer RV trip planned out, but we don't leave for two weeks. I plan on starting a thread and updating it daily when we take off.

Two months?!? Well, I was making $400 a week, and I believe the ring was about $2,500. Of course I financed it so I had a year to pay it off without interest or finance charges. I also didn't have all the expenses I do now so it was easy to pay off when I was paying a pittance in bills and rent.

The salary thing really depends on what you make. I wasn't making much when I got engaged, so I'd say two months is close to what I spent. I also didn't have anywhere near the bills or debt. Twas the beginning of the end!

Hmm, I don't know much about Let's Play threads, but I think it needs to be more structured. Like you present us with two or three options, we vote, and then you move forward. But it does take a long time to move forward, particularly in a game as complex as JA2.

I had a couple people come by to give an estimate for cleaning out my 2 bedroom condo before the renter comes in, but they all want $300-400! I think that's crazy, I'll just rent a carpet shampooer and clean everything myself. I think for our tiny place, without furniture, a more reasonable price would be $150-200.
