I'm having a really wierd problem with installing MTW2 .. it keep saying there's a cylindrical redundans error in the data transfer on cd2! (I tried using my friends dvd - same problem) and my version work on his computer! they haven't responded from technical support yet.. any of you know what the problem could be?

Well I wouldn't call that a miss..

It does take som patience to get familiar with the game .. since it's a pretty steep learning curve - but it's a game that's still good even if you only play it once or twice a week.

have any of you tried Hearts of Iron 2 ? and if so, how does this game comapre to it? I'm a real big fan of these kind of realistic stragety games .. but most of them aren't that good imo.. and this game looks really interesting!

well since you can take control of a nation at about 1450 (ends in 1819)- and then get free hands - you can imagine how accurate it is (or should I say - becomes)! but the different starting ages shows, quite accurately, where the nations had colonies and which kings were in charge etc. + somewhat accurate how their internal policies were.. and the entire world is available for you to conquer - at least what was discovered before 1819..

well if you want to get technical - Democracy is an idea - And we all live in a Representative Democracy.. not a true peoples-rule, but close enough for it not to be labeled Dictatorship.. but it's a thin line, I'll grant you that.. edit: and even thinner after the Patriot Act and other legislations passed in the US..
