You would think, but then it's raining, snowing, the wind is howling, it's soooo dark and everyone has 6 layers of clothes on.. Naah, I'll take summertime partying any day of the year. It is, summertime Scandinavians go crazy - we are outside all the time. The downside however is that at winter it's sunrise 8.30 am and sunset at 15.30pm.. and then it's cold.. and dark.. No wonder we went pillaging back in the day.

Around 4:30am and then it sets at around 22pm. In 2 weeks time it'll only really be dark for around 2 hours a day before the sun starts to brighten the sky again..

You know you live in Scandinavia, when you wake up at 5am and it's so bright that you panic because you think it's past noon..

But what if I am home.. and drunk? Are you saying that Rome's AI was better? or that it's simply always been bad and using the word "good" is misleading (because then we can find some middleground).

I refuse to believe any CA game is going to live up to its hype. Ever since I realised that the AI in Empire was WORSE than that in Medeival. How the **** is that even possible? Well at least the AI in Shogun 2 was the best since .. well shogun..

Actually I'm taking the picture (and wearing army desert boots) - that's my buddy I was traveling with. I remember I wanted to mock him for wearing a pink .. eh.. no idea what the English word for that is. Edit: and yeah he did regret not wearing boots later.. Desert are not known for their soft ground or plantlife.

I was looking through my SD card in my phone because I wanted to clear up some data.. and then I found this.. I don't remember hiding it (it was in a very strange folder).. It's from Feb or March 2008. It felt exactly like finding an old letter you'd forgotten all about. Strange..

At the risk of sounding like a douche, I'm talking about the girl I'm friends with here, not the girls I sleep with. It's not a problem to sleep with an ***hole (I actually recommend doing that, it's refreshingly bad for you in a good way) - but it's not good for you staying friends with one. If a "friend" is a consistent source of frustration rather than a good influence.... Why not instead spend the time you would feel bad, finding better friends?

Well historically it was a bit OP.. Vikings managed to expand their culture all over Europe and many of the European royal houses were/are in some form descendants of viking raiding parties turned local rulers. but yeah, I got like 300 gold from raid Ireland, which is too much so early. It's gonna askew the balance.. I hope Christianity becomes a major threat in the next 200-300 years.

Indie Game: The Movie.. Documentary following the development and launch of games like Braid, Meatboy and Fez.. Really great actually. Suspenseful, heartfelt, funny and sad.. yeah. See it.

I'm pretty good at intrigue, so I assassinate, imprision and plot my way out of much danger. But yeah, I'm guessing the British holdings are going to fall away when my kings dies. Those kind of conquests usually do. But that cool I want to hold Scandinavia and raid England. (love that new mechanic haha)

Trying out the Old Gods DLC for Crusader Kings. Playing as the King of Sjælland (half of Denmark). Decided to conquer the other half. I found it strange that they had no troops when I attacked, but decided that it was all cool and just easier for me. I capture the king by taking his castle and thus quickly end the war. What I hadn't noticed was that Jutland (the other half of Denmark) had conquered and annexed half of England while I was conquering them. Which then promplty passed to me .. So now I basically quadroupled my holdings.. Yay!
