  1. Right - they also have goats etc. But they never had horses, pulling oxes or other work animals - only food sources.. But that doesn't matter - my point was more that it only a small fraction of their fauna which is tameable/manageable compared to ours.
  2. I love it, it gives character .. My friends and are starting to grey and I think it looks great. Legacy Ex.. Hmm, only by appearance for me so far, my first GF.. damn she was a looker.
  3. It seems the blacksmiths of Faerûn never realized that part of a good armour design is to deflect blows not direct them to vulnerable areas.
  4. Also, there's been quite a few theories/books which speculate that one of the reasons sub Sahara Africa never really developed in the same speed as Europe or Asia was the lack of docile animals easily available for domestication.. So I'd say that's pretty spot on if they are aggressive And - stopped playing Metro 2033, it's too scary for me and started playing Medieval 2 Total War with the Grand Campaign mod.. Good clean fun.
  5. Finally!! the Commander was such an important feature of BF2 and 2142.. Glad to see it back. Now all we need is an actual Squad Leader again instead of the current 4-6 mobile teammember spawn points.
  6. The highest listed is the Atari Brand for 15million btw and that is actually cheap for MoO.. Hope some good studio scoops it up. No one probably gonna touch Annihilation though, not with the new game out?
  7. You know... Extremely - if you can create a sense of "us", where you did something crazy/funny and now have some inside joke. That's gold. You both end up falling in love if you manage to pull off a lot of those.. Kinda like the male and female bickering heroes of a generic fantasy tale
  8. Nooo you must love it!! Fair enough, looks like you were indeed unlucky with bugs.
  9. Well I'm certain you can make it happen without wine then and that looks like a nice place.. Just make sure to end up at your place afterwards
  10. No Bruce, it's just that when you don't know the game a lot of things can seem random and/or unfair. I remember thinking the same a lot of times in EUII, until I slowly understood the features of the game and saw that I had acted prematurely or had misunderstood how something worked and so on.
  11. They aren't mental, they just don't want accountability in these matters.. They have to be able to rationalize it afterwards as "oh it just happened". So it's up to you to set the stage to let it "just happen"..
  12. She does. They almost always do.. but it has to seem like "an accident" - so plenty of wine etc.
  13. Were the hairdos part of the African craze that seemed to permeate the 80's?
  14. Today I listened to Wood. http://traubeck.com/years/
  15. Yeah I guess western fashion in general (especially in the bigger cities) is pretty similar.
  16. Old thread here. This is what we've seen so far : It is my hope that the cultural designs will be in stark contrast to each other. What've seen so far seems to confirm that it'll be the case : In addition, here's some more inspirational artwork : Lovely detail on the armour. Forearm guards? Those are like FIVE-arm guards! And I LOVE them! (And yes, all the other details, too.)
  17. Yep, never underestimate the power of cognitive dissonance.. or double-think. It's an interesting study sure and written in very 'digestible' way.
  18. I live in Nørrebro, a municipal in Copenhagen with a high racial and cultural diversity. So the fashion here tends to be something of a mix between different styles (and usually a lot of tattoos) This is pretty common around where I live, kind of a mix between hipster and rockabilly. The more relaxed style. And here an example of how young girls >25 will dress. and then the "modern gentleman", although they rarely go to this length.
  19. It's not, it may seem that way but there are rules governing and the computer is subject to them just as you. Coming in to the series for the first time it takes a few weeks to learn how to play properly. Some will never like them and others will hardly play other games after that. But you gave it a good shot and maybe in a year or so you might give it another go and end up loving it. That's how it went for me with Europa Universalis II.
  20. So, Snowden has dissapeared. Was he snatched or did he go underground? Will we ever know?
  21. Old thread here. Because writing drivers and operating systems for the myriad of PC configuration just so your game could have a better access to hardware is realistic. No I do not. Because I did not have enough memory to run sound drivers and DOOM at the same time. I played that game completely deaf, nonstop, for 2 years.
  22. Closed due to length. New Thread here.
  23. The best part is camping a mile away from a base, then take out the patrols with your Dragunov SDV - as their comrades come to pick 'em up and carry them back, you detonate the IEDs you placed around the perimeter and watch the whole base burn to the ground as flames engulf everyone... Slowly smiling as your hear the distant screams for mercy.
  24. The upcoming East Vs. West DLC for Hearts of Iron III is basically WW3 and looks pretty cool.
