Annihilation
A cool plot concept that kinda went "meh" for me by the end.
The ending goes similarly to things like Akira and Ghost in the Shell, where the ending is avant-garde and meant to be representative of transcendence. Though I actually liked how it was done in Annihilation way more. Even better though are the ways Interstellar and The Fountain have both skimmed notions of transcendence without leaving an empty mic-drop that doesn't really close off the main thrust of the story. Annihilation closes out the plot of rescue, but basically leaves all the interesting and unique facets of the story as loose ends.
Though it does make me want to read the rest of the series to get a better sense how things fit together.

Wait... popularity equals IQ now? I honestly wonder which one is richer and more successful through facts of life.I like Kotick, he's like Trump but with an IQ above 80.
Interesting... but I never said popularity equals wealth or success through facts of life.
Let me guess, you're going to argue with me that I did, I'll ask you where exactly I said it and you'll try your best to convince me that I wrote something that never existed - as per usual.
And nobody said popularity equals IQ, so why did you read that in?

I'm worried about any form of identitarian populism regardless of what form it takes, at the very least a rise in one area helps combat a rise in another if by creating nothing but grid lock. I think true liberals are sort of isolated at the moment because our economic models and institutions are failing us but the true liberals have no solutions. So people with clear social platforms are starting to control the narrative. Further exacerbated by the fact that the media only makes money when covering the loudest noises. Meaning very few eyes are on unifying universal solutions, and are instead relegated to identitarian interest groups fighting under a zero sum game assumption.
I have no qualms with things like the woman's rally standing against Trump's sexist standing. I do have qualms with some of those factions being highly anti-semetic. Honestly we probably don't have enough good populists to choose from, which is why the one that commanded the most popularity ended up being an oligarchical nationalist narcissist with the foresight of a 4 year old. Bernie was the better populist and we saw how the old dems and old media treated him. Bernie was never going to be a Trotsky-ite revolution, it was that the baby boomers want to be aristocracy, while everyone of working and parenting age to be cogs in the manufacturing system that supports them.
America is running a dangerous surplus with infrastructure too grand (as it it's waste, not it's brand new sheen) for what's coming down the pike.

It is meant to be a Borderlands clone, so bright colors is part of the character. Far Cry New Dawn has a color saturation slider though
Cell Shading != Playdoh Palette

I think selling 2077 on consoles is going to be a more lucrative strategy than gaming the PC market anyways. Steam is the largest share, GoG is the optimal payout. No need to sign any exclusive deals; getting on more distribution platforms the better.

The GOP aren't anti-authoritarians. The wall is merely a co-pay in the GOP's plans. Who have a vested interest in oil wealth and in tax havens that differ from the democrat's preferred style of tax avoidance. Which usually involves lowered taxes on accounts for innovating, but also addicted to cheaper foreign labor. It's a battle of wealth redistribution under the guise of preventing wealth redistribution.

Different organizations of people require different types of leadership. Sometimes someone to carry the weight and demonstrate a path forward. Sometimes someone to delegate. Sometimes its fielding the overhead to clear up space and breathing room.
Blizzard failed because the leaders acted in the interest of only shareholders who were short, not shareholders who were long.

Maybe we just need 1 state that doesn't enforce Vaccines, so all the nuts move their. That way they can finally lose their herd immunity and natural selection starts to kick in again. Totally humane too because it's at their own risk. You could even provide free workshops to convince them otherwise, and free vaccines available at any moment.
