  1. "When an uncut cucumber just tossed your salad."
  2. It's funny, based on previous AC hints. We got a timeline of Egypt -> Greece -> Japan. Because GoW was Greece and looking to move away, they toyed with Egypt. But since Egypt was being done by AC, they went to Norse mythology. Then the Shogunate Japan revolution in games hit with Nioh to Sekiro, to Ghost of Tsushima. So now it would appear that AC has backed of Japan and settled on a Norse setting. Meaning AC ends up chasing GoW after GoW tried to avoid chasing AC.
  3. The loot keeps things interesting, but I also found that I'd often develop a taste for just a handful of different types of weapons. I think to other games with whimsical guns, and it's the diversity of zany mechanics that makes it so fun. Borderlands sort of emulates that by the fact that the procedurally generate theirs. But that means basically wading through a bunch of trash to get to the good stuff. The other problem is that since guns are level based, as you progress you have to refresh your inventory so you may loose out on the ability to use the more exciting items. I like getting new options as a game goes on, but losing them honestly sucks. It's why Ratchet & Clank is so damn fun all the way through, and Borderlands the weapons kind of fade into the background despite being one of the main selling points.
  4. It's only 26 20min episodes. If you've been craving anything that gives a grounded feel to space and sci-fi then I'd jump right in. Given your taste in music, I think this will be right up your ally.
  5. It looked like a Destiny clone with iron man suits instead of hover bikes from literally the first time it was shown. It was always dull with content all through out its labored reveal and marketing. All they had to sell was a vaguely Pandora-esque world that was supposed to have a mystery of the unknown to it. They sold a game on the premise that it's value was in having not had it's value yet revealed.
  6. Watch. English dubs. It transcends anime, you will not regret it.
  7. Adam McKay turned around and made The Big Short, which was one of my favorite films that year. Ridley Scott made Robin Hood. While I tend to follow directors more than anything else, I find we can really only say anything certain on a directors capabilities once they are dead.
  8. I dislike how trailers are made in general, I think I'm partially trying to see through that format to what the film might be. It does sort of sell the think as a dark musical by the end. I'll agree that's kind of weird. But I think the trailer was trying to convey a depressed person being liberated by some deluded manic state. Whether that works when conveying a films tone or not for a trailer? Guess it depends on who you ask. I have no reason to write of this film just yet,
  9. I'd love to see a return to form for Romero.
  10. I don't really see anything necessarily wrong with the Joker trailer. Other than it might be uncomfortable to watch a truly disturbed person descend into something wholly irredeemable under the tone of bleak drama divorced of general comic book levity.
  11. I was literally thinking to myself "Yeah... but it doesn't have TurboTax, I'll make a funny post being annoyed by that." Then two seconds later it popped up! WTH!!!
  12. I thought this was going to be a "you never know when the next christchurch might happen" and "your demo will be in bad taste in the case" sort of thread. Instead it's something far more quibbling.
  13. Why would you post something so controversial yet so brave?
  14. Is displayport becoming the new norm? I've been out of the market a long time, so last I knew everything was VGA + DVI + HDMI in some combination. At least VGA is finally dying, but I don't remember displayport being remotely common on anything. Then all of a sudden this year I started seeing it a bunch, but it seems older than HDMI? I don't understand.
  15. I want to believe that's actually some recreation center and not a hospital, because that is way to obvious and in poor taste to be true.
  16. If you punish you food soldiers too hard for getting caught, you have a harder time convincing the best of the best to take orders.
  17. Dobby was free forever more... the morning is an alarm is a curse trickier than those broken by gift socks.
  18. Better launch with a game or "3"
  19. Valve’s long-rumored VR headset is finally real: the Valve Index, coming in May
  20. Yaeh, I'm pretty psyched. Vampire genres being naturally devious helps to make it impervious towards too much wholesome neutering. Honestly is just fud for the sake of content at this point. Any outrage will be paint by numbers, the only stop I care about next is the first gameplay slice. Seems to be far off though.
