  1. Everyone knows what ultimate frisbee is you buffoon!
  2. These already exist. Examine Hyperion Nuclear Module. It's for bigger sheds, but smaller reactors also exist.
  3. What a sad way of looking at life. If you don't enjoy living, please stop wasting the resources for those of us who do. Agreed.
  4. Eels up inside ya, finding an entrance where they can!
  5. Good RPGs have existed in both party/squad-based form as well as solo form. This point is simply not at all relevant to how good an RPG the game is. Regarding point 1) Well, Obsidian has always been a company of dark, deep games. Light-hearted is not their forte from what I can tell, so I for one am happy for them to go with what they're good at. I think we'll get a strong mixture of both with DS3 though, from what I've seen so far. I did prefer the 'lightness' of DS1 to the 'darkness' of DS2, though, in terms of palette, art, atmosphere, and story.
  6. I can't decide if you are nihilistic or stupid.
  7. DS3 has completely different mechanics to DS1 and DS2, and is by a completely different company.
  8. Poor people are gonna multiply whether they have the means or not. Education/propaganda has been proven to influence natural population growth both ways.
  9. Oh well, Australia will have time to observe how Europe and developed Asia handle the aging population crisis before it hits us. And it's certainly superior to the alternative: unfettered population growth.
  10. for those who don't know this is basically that we shouldn't be constantly increasing our population and should work to lower the amount of people per generation. It's usually proposed by those who are seriously worried about overpopulation which I can understand. This debate rages in Australia constantly. Most Australians do not support the idea of a 'big Australia' and want to limit population growth. Personally I think the ideal solution is for the government to cut all welfare funding which encourages people to have kids. If you can't afford kids within the regular welfare programmes of universal healthcare and welfare, don't have them, or work harder till you can afford to! The government should also actively campaign to educate people to only have 0 or 1 children. This should accomplish a negative natural population growth rate. Then, skilled immigration should be used to maintain population growth at a static level - take the excess from other countries. I full acknowledge this will cause economic hardship at first due to the aging population and skills shortage that would occur. But we can work past this through automation - Japan proves that.
  11. I did not describe that Dutch situation as 'fine', or imply that. Don't put words in my mouth. I was highlighting recent progress and reform in drug legislation around the world. Some of the above situations I am pleased as punch with, others not so much (I think the Dutch situation is a diluted mess, though it's clearly superior to the situation in Britain, Australia, or America). That said, I suggest you do some more research on Dutch drug policy. What aspect of it do you dislike? The bit where drug use is treated as a health issue rather than a criminal one? The bit where harm minimisation programmes are used to treat addicts, rather than gaol time? The bit where they distinguish between soft and hard drugs to better focus law enforcement, health, and education funds? The bit where they come down as hard as ever on supply of drugs (dealers)? I much prefer the way Portugal handles drug policy to the way the Netherlands do. You mentioned a problem with 'hard-drug users' - the wiki page suggests the opposite. Sure, not the most ideal source, but given it cites sources and you didn't provide any at all I'm inclined to run with it. Disclaimer: I don't know why your post irritated me so much but it did. No hard feelings.
  12. On December 14, 2009, the Czech Republic adopted a new law that took effect on January 1, 2010, and allows a person to possess up to 15 grams of marijuana or 1.5 grams of heroin without facing criminal charges On 18 June 2010, Knut Storberget, Minister of Justice and the Police announced that the ministry is working on new drug policy involving decriminalization by the Portugal model, which will be introduced to parliament before the next general election. In August 2009, the Argentine supreme court declared in a landmark ruling that it was "unconstitutional" to prosecute citizens for having drugs for their personal use - "adults should be free to make lifestyle decisions without the intervention of the state". In April 2009, the Mexican Congress approved changes in the General Health Law that decriminalized the possession of illegal drugs for immediate consumption and personal use In the most recent Australian parliament, the Greens gained balance of power in the Senate, and co-balance in the Lower House. Their drug policy is full decriminalisation and harm minimisation. And we all know about the Dutch situation.
  13. That's utter crap! It looks like it was done in MS Paint. Leave this to the pros like mkreku please.
  14. Afghanistan is in Asia, not the Middle East.
  15. You're a lucky guy to have artists like us around to help you Jaesun.
  16. The 'homosexuality' aspect of this is completely irrelevant. Given that, it's essentially comparable to the myriad of Western countries with a low age of consent (Europe, Latin America, and developed Asia) The only difference (and it's admittedly a big one) is that Western countries with these low age of consent laws have far stronger judicial recourse in cases of coercion and rape.
  17. 40,000 means more ugly chicks. 40,000 means more smoking hotties.
  18. Is this post meant to be some sort of insinuation that Muslims are terrorists? What? Muslims are terroists? Oh my Krezack what a dreadful generalization that is! You should be ashamed of yourself. Why I remember reading on my computer and seeing on TV just today that muslims are peace loving folks who just love everyone and just want to get along with everyone. I mean, the two gentlemen in this article were just having a little fun right? They never meant to harm anyone. Right? I mean, if a few muslims were to so something... oh, I don't know, bad in the name of islam, I'm sure all the happy peace loving ones would come out and say what they did was wrong right? Err, are you drunk or serious?
  19. And now for something completely different: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rtyJi3lExo0
  20. Thanks for this little gem of irrelevance Gromnir. Did you have anything of value to add to this thread such as links to chemistry tutorials or text suggestions?
