  1. Create? Crate? Get it? I didn't mind BG1's exploration, though I guess I prefer Fallout's... by far.
  2. Obsidian is making a sequel to Baldur's Gate 1 OMG!
  3. I seriously cannot contain how pumped I am for this game. It's got me more excited than Aliens and Alpha Protocol combined.
  4. You're right, the comparison was off. Let's say 4chan instead. Besides, SA makes some great little animations:
  5. DSotSC was sort of fun when I played it last. Admittedly I was about 13 or 14. Have fun! I've yet to get anywhere in BG2 in the past couple of months. Once I've finished all my assessments I may pick it up.
  6. I can vouch for Black Books. Epic.

  7. Where is Platter anyway? Edit: Looks nice. Might be worth a replay of Torment some-time soon.
  8. I think you're confusing Worms with Fallout. Easy mistake - both excellent games.
  9. *Indie Games On The Rise - Pretty straightforward title, I guess. Why? Because I'm always looking for new games that aren't dominated by graphics and console gamer needs (i.e. they actually focus on real issues like storyline, atmosphere, fun). I think indie games fit this bill nicely. *Best Games You've Never Played (Because You Were Too Busy Masturbating To How Fast Crysis Runs On Your Computer) - No explanation needed, I guess. I'm always looking for good games, so if I've missed one in the past, I certainly want to know about it. (Avoid well-known cults like Fallout, Torment, Deus Ex, and co, please. Do games like Giants: Citizen Kabuto - absolute gems that faded into obscurity)
  10. I argued with somebody about why Python's re.findall function should instead produce a 1-tuple for the case of one group, like it produces a tuple for any other number of groups.
  11. So... one episode left before the year-long break?
  12. That was a damned awesome episode. I reckon Moffat will be a great lead for 2010.
  13. I don't like where the show is heading.
  14. He's dead Jim. I hear The Witcher, MotB and Mass Effect are good.
  15. I always took her because Hale and Cummings are a pretty awesome voice acting duo. Tigranes remind me of a thief who knows and acknowledges that stealing is wrong and still do it. Crap. I didn't know Naomi Hunter (and Emma Emmerich) was Dynaheir. Now I might have to start liking her. Edit: Double Crap, she's also Mazzy. The Halfling. I hate Halflings. She is also Bastila and Fall from Grace... she is a busy woman Holy crap, I have to pay attention to those characters (Mazzy, Dynaheir, Bastilla) from now on, then. I guess they did have good voice acting. Trust BIS to be the only one to give her a good character, though.
  16. Hey man. I get the feeling it might be a combination or like DX and NOLF art direction... if that's even possible? We'll see.
  17. Haha. The Codex needs to be taken with a grain of salt. On the one hand there are some valid, good posts floating around... on the other hand it's full of Something Awful style trolls and idiots. I'd sooner visit NMA. Whilst I am no fan of the latest and greatest graphics, I think there are some graphical anomalies in the screenshots. Many things seem too... ordered, new, pure, unused. I have faith they'll sort that out soon enough, though.
  18. Thank Christ. If Obama actually does plan to do something about healthcare he's pretty much got my (virtual) vote 100%. I highly doubt that. Agreed.
  19. I have a friend who works for Sega (and is usually pretty prepared to trash them when he feels like it) and he seems to have a similar opinion; the folks at Obsidian must be doing a bang up job. ****ing ace. Go you good thing.
  20. Today I harvested some Jerusalem Artichokes growing in the garden. They taste great - sort of like an exotic potato. They're also prolific, look good (they are a sunflower), and don't get any sorts of grubs or worms. I'm not sure why they aren't way more common. "Despite its name, the Jerusalem artichoke has no relation to Jerusalem, and it is not a type of artichoke."
  21. I thought the forced teams were one of the best things about BG. It forced you to think strategically and personally about who you wanted in your party, and to think about the party members as actual people instead of just numbers on screen. Sound logic, but of negligible import in-game. Benefits don't outweigh the cons, gameplay-wise, either, IMHO.
