  1. I meant he slept with her on Caprica.. but since that was quite a long time ago... well.. just forget I said anything! Here, let me save you: Cylon humanoids are probably capable of delayed pregnancy like kangaroos.
  2. "Could be Baltar's"? He hasn't been spending time with here. Moreover, he wouldn't have the authority to make the guards leave like Tigh did.
  3. I like Barry, Fox, Igor, Vicky so far. I'd take Red, but I'm scared of him. Hahaha. Nah I'll grab him soon.
  4. So it turns out holisticwisdom.com has an unusual name given the nature of the topic.
  5. Hah... hmm I'll definitely have to try that next time I play. Trying to sort of role-play an essentially decent mercenary group this game.
  6. Holy crap! Haha. I don't want some psycho killer on my team.
  7. I agree with Tale. I think you're reading too much into things Jediphile. The writers HAVE completely contradicted themselves in the past (what happened to the glowing red spine?), and continue to do so. Moreover, a great portion of the story is made up as they go (relatively speaking). As nice as it is to debate fan theories, I don't think it's wise to hold so much faith in them. For example, you need only look at the number of open questions which instead of being resolved have simply been brushed under the carpet, so to speak (with little hope for recourse as the plot has moved away from them). And as for the disease... a disease like that would infect humans. They may be immune, but it would still infect them. As such, any Cylon on the fleet would also be infected by it soon enough. But do we really want to apply logic here? You can hear sound in the vacuum of space for Christ's sake.
  8. Thanks guys! Most of it is stuff I've figured out already (it really helps having played Fallout: Tactics), so it's good to have confirmation. My traits are like: Automatic weapons and Night ops. What does Automatic weapons do? What's an automatic weapon? Big burst weapons right?
  9. Just took Drassen. Fairly easy, although some of my mercs are down to about 33% HP. But I don't want to rest because Lynx only has 8 hours left. Does resting help heal anyway? They're all bandaged. Fox is decent with here two desert eagles - usually misses, but shooting twice makes up for it. And my SMG is rather inaccurate, but low AP and decent range, so! I shot that Doreen slaver bitch 3 times in the head. No idea why it took three hits to the head.
  10. I'm going to restart the game (I didn't get far after an hour) and take something like: 85 Wisdom 85 Agility 70 Marksman (cause I heard Wisdom makes skills go up fast) 80 Dex 80 Health 60 Strength 55 Leadership 35 Medical 0 Mech 0 Explosive And grab night vision and some random traits And I'll take somebody like Lynx at the start because he seems to have a sniper rifle. Party: Barry Igor Fox (I like her) Lynx Ira I'll probably replace Lynx with Victoria... what's not to like about a dual-wielding Rastafarian chick? Plus she costs little ($2800, but level 4). Probably eventually take Trevor cause he looks awesome. I've learnt this game is similar to Fallout and Fallout: Tactics, so cover and stuff are heaps important - especially prone. And you can heal others in combat! There's lots of features they don't bother to tell you about that. I didn't even know how to access help, but luckily 'H' worked.
  11. AFAIK, weapons fired from space (nukes) are extremely unreliable and practically infeasible. And I don't use 'practically' as an intensifier, but as a descriptor - it's actually not feasible.
  12. Combat is sort of hard! I thought 'novice' would mean easy and 'experienced' would mean normal. It seems this is not true. Not to mention the skill system is a bit eh disproportionate. Haven't gotten far yet; it's a slow game. I don't have infinite money, and I can save just fine. It seems that wikipedia entry is incorrect, and relates specifically to the steam version (which I don't have). I agree with Moat; if the game's good, I'll replay it, and I'll use the 1.13 patch then.
  13. Thanks guys. I have the Gold Edition from Strategy First (non-steam). Wikipedia says this version has the infinite moneybug and the no-save bug? Did you experience this, Moat? Have either of you played Unfinished Business? Cheers for mentioning 1.13, Crash. I might just try Gold first, without UB or 1.13. If I like it (seems I will), I'm bound to replay it.
  14. I have a copy of JA2 Gold which includes UB. Is it worth playing in this case? Infinite money sounds rather annoying. Does the no-save bug apply to normal JA2 if you have UB installed?
  15. I'm partial to a well placed bazooka or baseball bat.
  16. Does anybody here play this? It's sexcellent fun. It reminds me of when I used to play JJ2. Actually I play it with the same people but eh... So anybody up for multiplayer games? If so, idle in #obsid on quakenet IRC or something. Anyway, I'm going to bed for realz, but hopefully there'll be peops interested when I wake up!
  17. Sure if they run that plot even I'll be happy, but I'm not so sure that's their intent anymore, judging from 410.
  18. I mostly like 4e. It's not 3e... but that's kind of the point.
  19. Fairly certain the last cylon is in the fleet too, we just don't know who it is yet. Deanna said the fifth is not in the fleet. Heck, the writers didn't even know 100% who it was last I checked. What are you talking about? They were instrumental in helping Starbuck realise how to find Earth. In a sense. I wouldn't ever call them useful, important or powerful, though. There's absolutely no differentiating them from humans, and it really better be expanded in the next 'season'. No, it was to force the cylons to confront the concept of mortality. When they did, they became very similar to humans indeed. Besides, the final five can't resurrect, as it would make no sense - how can there cloned bodies for them, if the known seven don't even know who they are? See now you're just making it up for the writers. Still ten episodes left - it's not over yet. Waiting for them will be the challenge of patience indeed. Oh, I know. At least the show managed to shrug off some baggage like Gorgon said.
  20. Ta, I've only read half of those. But no Kant or Hume?
  21. I still don't think your rating is fair. I'd just it at least an April. It's not as bad as a July, certainly. Only 58.3%?
  22. Oh well, if you're aware if this, then can we assume it's not a problem for Onyx?
