Sort of. You can change the Steam install directory but only when installing Steam. Make a backup of your steamapps folder, uninstall Steam, reinstall Steam, select a HD or partition with more free space, install there, then move your steamapps backup there. Will probably have to validate all your games again which would take probably 1 minute per game.

I know, right? Having to use Steamwatch is kind of annoying, though. And I have a 50gb quota so I'm not sure it even matters

What reads like 'just having a bit of fun' to you, reads like trolling and generally being a douchebag to others.

Dual-booting has nothing to do with performance and only occupies about 5GB of HD space extra for the second OS (assuming you've got a storage partition where you put all your files, games, data, which is best practice even without dual-booting for performance and backup reasons). As for 'needlessly complicated', it's a simple binary choice when you boot up. Fail, Tigranes.

All I really have to add is that if the movie does interest you in any way, make sure you see it on the big screen first, because this is the type of movie which I don't think the TV can do justice to. Krookie: I think they're saying that because it revolutionises 2 aspects of movie making (and, I guess, viewing). It's a 'killer app' to justify 3D viewing (and 3D viewing technology), and it's the first movie to make such heavy use of such detailed gollum-level CGI as well as world generation. The visual technology behind the movie is truly amazing, and should give any computer graphics nerd an erection.

Pretty strong words there, considering this is hollywood we're talking about here. It looks interesting in the very least, I'll see it when it gets released in home formats. We're also talking about a movie that was being worked on for over 10 years in some form or another by the guy who gave us Aliens, The Terminator, and Titanic (OK maybe that last one is a good reason to be concerned). Heck, he hired a linguist to design an entire language for the aliens, complete with proper grammar and over 1000 words. He sure gets my nerd kudos. He also elected not to have a famous actor as the protagonist, which is a nice change.

But seriously guys, Morgoth's typical bile aside, it was awesome. And 3 hours long. And awesome. Also, as far as 'big giant turds' go, it was more like a bucket of icecream: Edit: Changed 'iceream' to 'icecream'. It sounded dirty.

Ah yes, the one party state idea. THAT'LL END WELL. It's not a one party state. Do conservative countries (heh, there aren't any) never have parties because they all agree on everything? What about liberal countries? Any time you have elections, you'll get at least 2 parties. Exactly. Which is also why, over time, any overly conservative (or liberal) country would drift back towards the centre.

The Australian Senate is almost never ever ruled by a single party. Usually smaller civil rights parties (such as the Greens or Democrats) make up the balance of power. However, since any bill needs to pass both the Senate and House to go ahead, we've effectively got a 3-party system (even though the House, which forms government is essentially 2-party). Not to mention that one of the larger parties, the Coalition is a coalition of the agrarian Nationals and the traditional conservatives the Liberals which doesn't always see eye-to-eye. The Senate is preferentially proportionally elected but the House remains preferential instant run-off. This is good because it allows smaller parties to gain existence in the Senate and then eventually expand into the House if they are stable and useful (rather than a phase like that disgusting One Nation racism party). My main concern at the moment is that Labour's Internet censorship scheme will pass the Senate because the Liberals just replaced their mildly Libertarian leader with a bat**** crazy religious nut and will hence change their stance to vote for it. The Greens can't defeat it alone. Screw you Abbott. Oh, this has nothing to do with Obama or Finland. Oh well.

If we set up a liberal and conservative pair of states, who would survive longer? They'd both simply drift towards the centre.

Breaking the US up into an alliance of smaller countries does seem an attractive choice.

lol.

No. You have to bloody activate it online. And THEN you have to create a damn Windows Live account or it won't let you save your game. **** this. From what I've read, it takes place in both the asylum and Gotham itself.

You're probably not aware of this, but CO2 is harmful to human health.

I heard the game was pretty damn polished so I picked it up during the Steam holiday sale recently. Have downloaded it and now all I have to do is play it. Freedom Force and STALKER are first on the list though. Kind of cut that it has ****ing Securom protection. I wouldn't have bought it if I had known. Isn't ****ing Steam enough?

Just for the record, only a single guy worked on this patch, to those saying it's a bit small.

English women look pretty much the same as Australian women, for obvious reasons, and while I could irk my British mates by implying the hotness ratio is far higher in Australia, the point remains that England does have some pretty smoking babes.

If you try to buy games (software) from Amazon.com or Amazon.co.uk, the website says it won't ship to the zone you're in. I believe it's the same with Steam. There was an news article here in Australia showing how you can still use Steam and bypass the zone restriction by having a friend in another country get it for you. You have to get a bit creative. ebay retailers is anotehr way which is what I use. The risk is that if the package gets stopped by Customs and they realise it's a banned game, they will seize it and issue you a letter for importing banned material. On that note, could I trouble one of you chaps to buy me an uncensored version of L4D2?
