Steam Holiday Sale
Have barely played it but I'd give it a highly recommended so far. They also have a game a "A farewell to Dragons" which appears to be an oldschool RPG like Baldur's Gate. It could maybe give Dragon Age a run for its money because it's doing will with reviewers. Will buy it soon. Edit: Also, as per my other thread, I highly recommend The Void to everyone!

The Void
It's an awesome first-person survival-thriller-RPG made by some indie Russians. It features brilliant voice-acting for a translation (or heck, for any computer game) and the inventory/interaction/skill/magic system called Colour is unique, fun and challenging. The atmosphere and art are probably the best parts of it, though. It's on Steam right now for half-price (i.e. $9.99). It's worth at least triple that because it's as good as any typical new release by major publishers. http://store.steampowered.com/app/37000/ Note: it seems to run well on lower-end machines! Note 2: logistically, the Colour system is difficult to wrap your head around at first (and heck it is half the fun of the game - you're still figuring it out half-way through), so expect to start the game more than once.

What the hell Gorth? I didn't circumvent the freaking filter, I even filtered it myself, as I've seen countless others do on here before. Go celebrate Christmas instead of editing posts!

And we haven't even mentioned merchandising yet! Indeed. It is expected to have a second week showing which is just as strong as its first, so that will be a good indicator I think.

I was a bit disturbed when she said **** but then I calmed down when she said ****. This is probably a uniquely Australian reaction.

Cheers Tigranes. A few people have mentioned Indigo Prophecy so I'm curious. I've completed almost every game I've ever bought. Sometimes years after buying them, but that doesn't bother me at all and is none of your business. Apparently you can toggle a boolean flag in the .ini file to enable all the cut content.

TLJ is the first one. I haven't played the sequel. Not sure if I want to either - it'd be like playing a sequel to Planescape: Torment.

Steam Holiday Sale
What did you want from that part of the sale? It seemed that the titles there were mainly older-to-very-old ones. Also, I think everything excluding the deals labeled "today only" will remain the same, so unless you were after one of those you should be fine. You're right. Just Mirror's Edge and maybe Operation Flashpoint if the reviews are good.

Good Old Games holiday sale
Considering about half of those games are already on my GOG wishlist, this is epic. Glad I didn't buy them earlier. Buy them all. I'm about to buy Sanitarium, but having already bought TLJ and Psychonauts I can guarantee they are worth it.

I love American conspiracy theorists.

Ask me about Communism.
Actually, most Americans do want universal healthcare - or what some of the more hard-core Libertarians like you like to call "socialist healthcare". You can look up various polls on it by companies like Rassmussen, Gallup, ABC, etc.

That's just rude: there's been a lot of thoughtful and interesting comments in this thread besides the whining and trolling from certain members. Indeed the general consensus from people who've seen it has been "it's awesome". Did you miss this?

Will Obsidian end up with another Jefferson?
That's not terribly difficult.

Are you colourblind?- Just saw Avatar
Preachy is exactly the opposite of what it actually is. The story and its basic morals are there, and you can take them or leave them. And it's certainly not about advanced nations being evil incarnate, since there was quite an internal struggle within the human camp, and indeed it's that human faction who save the natives in the end. Points for trying, but either go see it or quit your fallacious whining. I'm waiting for something negative to be posted about this movie by somebody who has actually seen it.- Will Obsidian end up with another Jefferson?
Same. - Just saw Avatar
