I just stopped playing Gran Turismo 6 entirely after I found out my favorite car in the game -which is very expensive, I had to grind countless hours for it- doesn't support H-pattern shifting and the clutch - for whatever silly reason. As if having to mindlessly grind credits, silly tuning bugs AND dealing with the dumb-as-a-rock AI wasn't enough, they also ruined my favorite car. I'm done with it. If the people who made this joke of a game weren't so damn far away I would totally pay them a visit and give them back their stupid game....through their rectum.

Agreed. But if you have to make that decision, why not choose to be good at everything? (or as close to as is within the realm of possibility) Its not possible to be good at everything, you can be mediocre at everything or very good at few things. For example I'll never have the super awesome endurance of pro-cyclists because I'm too heavy. I'm about 25 kilograms heavier than the average professional cyclist and no matter how hard I try I'll never be as good as them. Why? Because I have much more muscle mass (weight) than them so I can perform heavy lifts, and it makes me too heavy to become a professional cyclist (I'm an avid cyclist though). And its not just limited in strength vs endurance. Just look at the Olympics, show me someone who is a top-notch 200m hurdle sprinter AND hammer thrower.

In fitness its pretty much ''what you train is what you can do well.'' If you do lots of strength training with low reps you're going to be able to lift very heavy weights for a couple of times. If you do lots of gymnastics you'll have a flexible body and very good muscle coordination. But the guy lifting the heavy weights won't be good at gymnastics and the gymnastics guy wont be good at lifting heavy weights. When exercising you have to decide what you want to be good at.
Heard of that one before, what is it called? The R.I.P-bullet? Upon impact each of those fragmented sections will break off and cause individual wound channels. Its pretty much a shotgun concept turned into pistol round. But lets not forget that each fragment is TINY and might have very little penetration capability on its own, I'd rather have a normal bullet to be honest.

The Russians in WW1 had soldiers armed with blackened broomhandles in the trenches because at that time they still didn't have the infra structure nor the industry to build large amounts of rifles. And the Mosin Nagant they had was a very cheap, simple rifle (doesn't make it less awesome though). They even had contracts with the French and the US to build their rifles. Everyone was designing new guns and were looking for new weapons at that time so the weapon shortages have very little to do with the actual designs of the guns.
Look what followed me home! Thats Scottish ''Black Watch'' pistol and yes, the entire stock is made of brass. Cute little pistol, the lock is great and the frizzen throws sparks like fireworks. The smoothbore barrel is heavy and beautifully made. It looks kinda cute but the caliber is .58, it has serious stopping power for a pistol that size and its kind of heavy too. Not exactly a pistol to shoot matches with as it has neither sights nor rifling and the grip is very small for my huge paws but thats not what it was intended for anyway. And it even has a belt clip for concealed carry! Gonna have to try it someday, but first I have to get proper flint stones and a properly sized patches for the bullets.
And that comes from the person who started this discussion while having neither personal experience about this subject nor can name sources that formed his opinion nor used any facts and logics to explain why he thinks that muscle cars are 'better' (reliability & longevity) than modern cars. And he mocks those who have sources, first hand experience and properly explained their opinions. The arrogance is strong in this one. Oh, and I could google how much better muscles cars are. Your point? I have first hand experience with the subject though, as does Azedus. So go on, make a thread and write your proper reply, I'm sure you have the time for that.
My mother gave me a strange book as a gift, its has 350 pages packed with all sorts of hard riddles but written and designed in 15th century style. Even the riddles have a medieval-theme. I absolutely love riddles, I already spent hours on solving only a handful those. I wish my brain had a forget-it button so I can solve them all over again, unfortunately I always forget the wrong things. Now I really hope PE is going to have lots of riddles and enigmas.

You'd be surprised how many buy those cheap tires due to the economy crisis even though they are well aware of the tires flaws. But 50% cheaper is saving a lot of money. I heard those tires have 30% more stopping distance and don't last very long due to the awful rubber compound.
Equality in force between an attacker and the potential victim is indeed a huge step towards the well being and safety of society. Criminals are looking for easy targets. If there is a law against carrying weapons - well, thats heaven for those who don't care about the laws and hell for those who care about it.
I cannot get locked up for it because its not against the law to carry knives where I live. You always have to check your local laws before buying and carrying knives. Yeah, its probably all awesome in your country but let me tell you this: if carrying knives is against the law, do you think that some one who wants to stab you (which is against the law!) cares about the law? Nope. You'll be the defenseless guy who gets stabbed thank to your laws. Newsflash: if criminals cared about about laws nobody would get hurt. And the dagger recommendations for teenagers - teenagers are not allowed to defend themselves? Only adults? I know if I had a daughter I'd surely would recommend her to carry at least a pocket knife because there are too many rapes on this planets happening each day.
I've talked with one of the mechanics, its common practice among car manufacturers to recommend people regular checks at that manufacturers works repair shops so they can change parts with manufacturing errors without telling the owner of the car and without damaging the reputation of the manufacturer. Its quite scary. Modern production cars! I saw new Opel cars doors rusting away in two years from the inside out. I can't remember the details but it had to do with the scrap steel they used in the furnace. I think there were air bubbles in the steel itself, and oxygene + moisture = rust. Nope, a friends bought a new car and the cars axle differential went haywire in less than 50km. He got all kind of odd vibrations and noise. They couldn't fix it so he got a replacement.

True, not all were all-steel, but most were. But I heard those wern't reliable because aluminum forging was still very inconsistent at that time. And thats still a huge problem with modern cars. You know what Mercedes does in their works repair shops when they get a car to repair? (forgot the exact model) They automatically change all doors and some parts of the body without telling the owner because they're literally rusting away from the inside out. Opel and Vauxhall have the same problems. Quality. Not much has changed though, car manufacturers are still producing cars that don't make 50 kilometers without running into gearbox and axle assembly problems.
