  1. Guess its a imagination-thing, if I would play games as they were without using my rather vivid fantasy to add truckload of extra content to the story, characters and world to make it more interesting and alive ALL games would feel stale and extremely non-immersible. (I'm talking about games in general here, not about libido ) Its like reading a good novel with your imagination and fantasy turned off, its impossible to enjoy a good book that way, to get sucked into the story and to ''live'' it. It would feel like reading an article in the newspaper.
  2. I did shovel snow from my driveway today (Its a big driveway, approx 20x6 meters), and it was fun, a good opportunity to get some fresh air. And the trick is to push the snow like a snow plow, not to lift it with the shovel.
  3. You're getting to first position in the first second or third lap? I'm talking about the special license events, the 15 laps and 24 minutes races. And those are crucial when you need money because the cars are way too expensive compared to the money you get when you win races. Try making 200000 bucks for an LMP with races where you win 30.000 - 60.000. Thats a lot of grinding for just one car.
  4. So you don't find a digital art picture of a nude woman sexy? Well, I certainly do.
  5. This is the same complaint I have about GRID and GRID2. They constantly place you at or near the back of the pack and the races aren't long enough that I can wait to pick and choose my passing locations, like I would were this a real race (and I a real race car driver). On the higher difficulty settings you simply cannot afford to wait for good passing opportunities because the lead pack will be so far ahead of you half a lap into a 3 lap race that it will be physically impossible for you to catch up to them and you can forget about a podium finish. So what I am forced to do is stuff the car in kamikaze style in the first couple corners and pray the bounces go my way and I don't wind up spun out. The vast majority of the times I get spun out and I have to restart the race. Lather rinse repeat an average of 10 times or so until I get the miracle start I need to have a chance. That's not racing, that's rolling the dice and frustration. There is no skill involved it's the racing equivalent of save scumming. Save scumming is not fun. Someone who understand my pain! I have to drive like suicidal maniac, ram cars and totally toast my cars tires to have a chance to win, this has nothing to do with racing.
  6. Bought Gran Turismo 6 (Racing Simulator) and the AI makes the game completely unplayable. And that comes from a fan who played every single GT game since 1997 - and loved them all. Cars keep ramming me till I lose control, push me out of corners, don't make way on the straights, its just frustrating. And if that weren't enough the game makes you start from last place on every single race so you have to pass up to 16 of those dumb cars. The gameplay feels like Mad max : Road warrior, it has nothing to do with real racing. Stopped playing it.
  7. If you think you need this kind of gear for anything that goes beyond just doing some workout to stay healthy and fit you have no idea of fitness or the human body. There is natural bodybuilding and its getting really popular and hope one day it will totally diminish that sadly large group that consists of people roiding like there is no tomorrow.
  8. All you need for serious strength training is some weights and a couple of dumbbell bars and one barbell / sz bar. I think I didn't spend more than 200 bucks on all the stuff I've been using for eight years now. Minus the optional bench. Thats less than a yearly fee for a middle class gym.
  9. Bench pressed 132 kg (290 lbs) 2 sets of 7 repetitions yesterday, on the flat bench, then I had to drop the weight a little. Time to move to 135 I guess.
  10. IMO the 6.5 Grendel throwing 120's at 800 m/s is perfect. Thanks to the high sectional density and BC of the 6.5's they would have as much (And probably even more) range as the 7.62x51, more power than the .223, and FAR more barrier penetration while being only slightly heavier than the 5.56's. Though I'd still go with a 7.62x51, and if the 8x57mm was more popular I'd take it over the .762. IMO the 8x57 is the perfect round for me.
  11. Welcome to my world. What I did today: I woke up and instantly regretted it.
  12. The Zodiac (2007). Enjoyed it a lot, not knowing the story at all the end surprised me. All the evidence was so pointing at one suspect but then there was also evidence totally speaking AGAINST him. Very fascinating case.
  13. I got a tooth removed, it was nothing spectacular, it was over before I knew it though it bled a little afterwards and hurt like mother of god for about 20 minutes when the local anesthesia was gone. But then it was all fine.
  14. Good point, I guess the general issue weapon doesn't matter much if you have guys in your team carrying LMG's and 7.62 designated marksman rifles. Still, I'd take the most versatile weapon. It accepts mags that are ''tied'' together with this special adapter-strap-thingy which has been available for AR mags a long time. Its like duct taping them together though with a spacer between them. I have no idea how reliabel it is though.
  15. Now that you mention chemicals, I think I scratched my face after eating some grapes a few days ago. I heard they use tons of super dangerous pesticides on citrus fruits. Sounds plausible to me.....
  16. The Road is the best motivational movie there is. All your problems suddenly seem insignificant when you watch it.
  17. You better shoot armor piercing rounds instead of spamming the target with bullets hoping some make it through.
  18. Oh man, I just googled that, why do you do this to me? Cannot unsee.... Its just reddish skin like a sunburn, not goddamn leper blisters for gods sake...
  19. Something strange is happening, a few days ago a part of my skin in my face turned bright red and hurt so much I couldn't sleep, it totally felt like a severe sunburn. I had to wash my face with cold water every 20 minutes for two days because the pain was really bad, I even woke up several times per night. Now it has gotten much better, it barely hurts anymore but my skin is peeling off (with perfect skin underneath it) like I was one of those Chernobyl reactor workers. Have there been any reactor accidents lately? It might have been an allergy but I didn't eat anything unusual nor did I take any sunbathes. The only thing I'm allergic to (as far as I know) is walnuts and peanuts. Or my skin is going haywire, I haven't seen direct sunlight for weeks.
  20. That's certainly not what I've been hearing from guys coming back from sojourns further East. Not that a good story doesn't occasionally overcome the facts. Thats because people always remember bad things, you certainly don't hear about reports where the 5.56 totally stopped the hell out of thousands of insurgents. Because thats what people expect. I've heard of insurgents surviving .50bmg hits, that doesn't mean I want them to get AR's chambered in 20x114mm anti aircraft rounds. (I'd give them 7.62x51 battle rifles though, don't like the 5.56)
  21. Goddamn shyte, I just shaved my beard off. Thanks.
  22. I'm not assuming anything, according to the engineers they made the G11 fire so quickly to increase the wounding effect of the very little cartridge. I'm mainly talking about increasing the chances to hit something with firing super quick bursts. Which does not make any sense. (And I know that three different projectiles hitting the same spot will be more devastating than single bullet hitting the target, all three projectiles will go separate paths once the enter a medium. If this weren't so shotguns wouldn't be more effective than a large caliber rifle. But its still a waste of good ammo, a center mass hit with a 5.56 should put the target down. )
  23. Yeah but in the case of the G11 the three round burst was meant to insure a KILL, not to increase the chance to hit something. It fires a really small round. I regularly shoot precision rifles, the difference between hot and cold barrel shots is that the group opens up from 1cm to about 1.5cm at 100 meters. Granted, we're talking about assault rifles but with modern ammunition and barrel technology the accuracy difference between hot and cold barrels is negligible at anything under 300 meters. Unless we're talking about BOILING hot. If three shots are fired before the gun recoils all the rounds will hit VERY close together at normal combat distances, and I'm talking about 3cm groups. It makes more sense to fire thee individual aimed shots at a target, THIS increases the probability to hit a target.
  24. But if you shoot several shots at once you either hit the target several times or you miss it several times, I don't get why its supposed to improve accuracy at all.... Anyway, here is a Phalanx test firing. Its awesome. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AcR-oGeBXmc#t=12
