I'm not a doctor but maybe its a minor diaphragm fissure; had that on my right side of the chest, right where the liver is. I think I injured it when I tried to deadlift 180kg or so with bad form. Did your brother lift something very heavy before the pain started?

Thats good news, people die from heart inflammations. What symptoms does your brother have? Sounds very serious even without an actual inflammation....

1. Sit in the garden pavilion, listen to the rain and watch the clouds go by. I like rainy weather. 2. Be moderately angry, but calm down quickly. (all the essential things are always in my cabin baggage and pockets) 3. Rip the christmas lights from the tree and fling them against the wall as hard as I can. Nothing makes me madder than stubborn inanimate objects that wont work as intended

Got that when I had a mandatory health check in my military service time. I don't understand people whining about it, its just a balls check *shrug*.-

You are right, it was my left hands index finger. Hey, as long as I can lift weights and shoot a rifle it can't be so dramatic, right? I have something similar, I'm a relaxed guy but for some reason waiting in a cramped waiting room makes my blood pressure go sky high, waiting stresses me out like nothing else. Of course I always have a blood pressure in the 160's when the doc finally measures it. It returns to normal once I have left the docs office...

The condition of my finger has improved greatly, oh the wonders of healing. Unreal Tournament is one of the best and purest shooters ever. What does the mutator do? Something fun? I remember one mutator that made the pulsegun shoot titan boulders.

That sounds almost as much genius as changing the v-belt of a running engine. What could possibly go wrong?

Got an annoying infection on my finger, I don't even know why or how, there is no visible wound or injury. Every two hours I open it to get all the yucky stuff out, and it smells bad. I'm bombarding the area with iodine lotion but if it doesn't get any better the next few days I'm gonna have to pay the doc a visit. It also hurt like a '&%$ during exercise...

I fell off my bike at 60kmh, not 100 mph. Yes, certain types of exercise tend to ruin people rather than improving them, I try my best to avoid them and it works. Oh, and if that was supposed to be a hint, no, cycling is not one of them. Exercises that create problems down the road: excessive exercising, lifting weights with bad form, sports while recovering from an illness, steroids etc. Its pretty basic, everyone with a working brain knows what destroys you ''down the road''. What certainly destroys you is doing nothing for your health. Like 99% of the people on this god forsaken rock I am spending it on improving my life. Though trying to be a good person doesn't interfere with it, fortunately. I work out for a physical healthy future so I wont need my country bleed for my horrendous medical bills in a couple of decades. Thats what good people do. We're still talking about exercise 4 hours week, or am I missing something here? Sorry but, get a grip. My job is mentally draining too, my job involves customer service, dealing with surprisingly mentally challenged customers (customers that are multi million euro companies) with ridiculous wishes and standards in a small, cramped, hot office with co-workers I don't get along with very well. It sucks the very soul out of my body, but one thing that really helps to ease the pressure and all the negative energy is converting it into movement. No anti depressant or drugs work nearly as well. You may be tired at first, but regular exercise gives you back positive energy and greatly improves you positive energy storage. The job will be less straining, your live will improve by a great deal. Yeah, I sound like a health commercial on repeat, but I can't say it too often: it really works.

Responsibilities and age, the usual, weak excuses. I say it again, those who say they can't spend 1/24 of a day 4 days a week to improve their health are either lying, lazy or have serious problems with scheduling their ''responsibilities''. I can't tell you how many times I heard ''Oh I can't exercise, I've got responsibilities'' only to see them waste an hour in front of the TV or computer doing mindless stuff each day. What? No, working out beyond the bare minimum isn't vanity pursuit, its a better preventative measure. Like taking the better, more expensive insurance. Doing things the better way is not vanity.
-
Thats what i thought too, but doesn't the life +70 years copyright rule apply to all movies (in the US)?
-
Depends, if you are that kind of person who is happy with the bare minimum, well, thats fine. I've never been a fan of half measures and doing the bare minimum, when having an accident there is no such thing as ''too muscular back'' , muscles that prevents it from snapping. And that example is just one of many.
-
You are calling exercise ''vanity pursuit''? I call it '' Injury and health issue prevention''. Anyone who says that he can't spend 60 minutes / day 4 days a week to keep himself healthy is not just a lying lazy bum, he is also stupid. Why? Exercise and sports greatly reduces the odds of getting sick because it boost your immune system by a great deal. So you are actually SAVING time, time you'd otherwise spend being sick and rolling around in your bed or healing injuries you could have prevented with some regular sports.

Why is it that characters in movies always watch 50's movies on TV?

Its ''work'' only the first couple of years or so, after some time that ''work'' becomes part of you and you start to enjoy it so immensely that you can't live without it anymore. I know its sounds totally cliché but you truly learn to love the pain. All you need is the discipline to hang in there with full devotion to get over that hump where you start loving it. Unfortunately self discipline is what most people sorely lack nowadays, and it saddens me greatly. Many friends asked me for serious advice about exercise and getting into shape, I helped them knowing they'd never get off their asses because they lacked the proper mindset / tenacity. I'm sure if I was personal trainer I'd get super depressed in no time at all. And speeding with a bicycle is really fun, 100+ downhill is where it starts to get interesting.

In that case I had luck in a bad-luck-situation. Why did I have bad luck in the first place?
