  1. The series is completed. It'll be three weeks until the last episode is out and if you manage to binge every season before then congratulations.
  2. You're right, it's an extremely odd choice to not use one of the two designated Prince(ss) That Was Promised. That's going back to subverting our expectations in a bad way. On the other hand, the show never made much use of the prophecy outside of a few pieces of dialogue with Melisandre, Stannis and Jon. I also spent the first 45 minutes raging at the screen. I'm far from a tactical genius and otherwise pretty bad in strategy games but even I know that's not the way to deal with defending a castle.
  3. Except for the odd beer every now and then I've completely stopped having drinks that contain any form of sugar. 'Twas a much easier way of slashing caloric intake per day than eating less or differently. I can live without coke. I can't live without roasted pork belly.
  4. Feargus told Microsoft to can it and high fived his team while doing some moustache twirling and bellowing his evil laughter of evil. He's like Bad Horse, except less horsey and more Saturday morning cartoon. The Obs Leadership hosts the Evil League of Evil meetings for a reason, after all. Eh, well... as far as the original concept goes, I doubt having "millions" of players in an MMO-ish environment working towards the same goal is any more viable now than it was back then. But a game like Stormlands? Yeah, as long as it also comes out on PC, count me in.
  5. 'Ere we gooooooooo:
  6. I wonder who gets there first. There are scenes to get angry over for everyone. Sums up my feelings pretty well. I was pleasantly surprised by Infinity War, now I'm a bit disappointed by Endgame, and at the risk of making this weird, Volo is actually partially right for a change. Everything happens in exactly the way it has to, and while I don't agree that the film was boring, it sure felt longer than it was.
  7. A bit of psychological horror: Sure it reads comedy but it isn't. It's hauting...ly accurate. And a bit older, so not sure if posted before.
  8. Trying to find the motivation to grind out the last 8 skill points in Sekiro to finish all the achievements. Cuz every now and then I enjoy flashing my e-peen.
  9. Volo would say that's because you're a nazi.
  10. Might as well use the thread to post a pic of our cat and the dog. Excuse the quality, this was made with an early camera phone. They're a good bit older now, but still cute.
  11. That's what you get when you teach your machine learning tool via Burzum. Anyhow, time for some 331Erock goodness:
  12. Since it's been a year or two since I last tried to get people to appreciate Tripod (which... failed spectacularily) I'll just (re)post this.
  13. Sekiro had a patch intended to promote different playstyles and fiddled with the combat art and prosthetic resource costs. That's because people didn't use anything but Ichimonji and High Monk (or Senpou Leaping Kick), the latter of which was situationally locked to countering sweep attacks and was pretty much a high risk, high reward combat art as it locked you into a tracking animation towards the enemy and if you messed up the timing or used it on a non-sweep attack you could easily jump yourself into a deadly enemy combo. I'm pretty sure nerfing the posture damage on High Monk will promote people to not use Ichimonji all the time. Oh, wait. Heh.
  14. That's bizarre. Although one other MCU movie did this as well, I remember because we waited for the credit to wrap up and a guy from the theatre showed up and was like: Guys, don't bother, there's no extra scene in this film. I just can't for the life of me remember which one. Not much of a surprise given the sheer number of them. I'm kind of expecting it was Age of Ultron, but I'm not sure. Talking about the mini-scenes that happen after the credits, not the regular post-credits scenes though.
  15. 10 points for Sitherin! (Well this will take some getting used to, why does the forum posting work properly now? )
  16. That depends (eh, just kidding). Back on the BIS/IPLY boards we'd get freshmen computer science majors trying to explain software and game development to the devs every now and then. The one I remember most vividly was a guy explaining to JE how the lack of monk unarmed fighting animations in Icewind Dale II made the game suck and that they just should have taken Bioware's from Baldur's Gate 2. These posts almost always started with "Hi, I'm a computer science major and...", you know, like the "I'm not a racist but..." kind of deal. Was your first post like that? If not, then you're probably good.
  17. As far as I know fan clubs aren't allowed to make money from anything related to Star Wars. That's why they usually get goodies out of promotion deals (e.g. free tickets and popcorn at the theater, a toy or two at market chain promotions, etc.). Not sure if that limitation applies to dealing directly with LucasFilm/Disney though. But the chance is high that it was just unpaid fun. Not to mention appearing as extra would most likely be something these guys would pay, not get money for.
  18. When season 6 started to air I said that I've made my peace with the show being the only resolution we'll ever get. And I truly believed that. At least until this week's episode and the song. Strange how quickly the joy of the entire episode gave way to unbridled anger. Sigh.
  19. Happy Easter guys.
  20. You keep saying governments have the right to rape, kill, murder, shoot and burn you at the stake for not paying taxes. Since that doesn't apply to any Western nation that I know of I can only assume you mean Canada, right?
  21. La Blue Girl is the first hentai I've ever seen. It also remains the only one I have actually bought. Our goto store for CCG booster packs, manga and anime also took mail orders and had a hentai section where you could order without any age checks. We wouldn't have gotten it otherwise with none of us being adults yet at the time. Still not entirely sure if the discs are legit. They look nice and came with a booklet but are really just quicktime files with hard coded subtites. As far as stories go that's spot on. Ninja girls fighting demons by having sex and winning by making them have an orgasm before they do, who else but someone from Japan could come up with that idea?
  22. Careful lest Volo calls you a literal Nazi. :> I think this thread proves that sci-fi and fantasy stories say that time is cyclical and whatever happened has happened before... and will happen again. I'm pretty sure we had this type of discussion before. The participants are different. Most of the time. Volo being the only constant. Except I have no idea why he sticks around in Canada where tax evasion and draft dodging apparently is punishable by death.
  23. At the risk of offending someone - with really no offense intended, just some good ol' fun - I think Buttigieg is probably the best name for a gay guy ever.
  24. No, Tuvix didn't get a trial. Or any consideration by anyone except the Doctor who refused to perform the procedure with Janeway being all pissy about it.
  25. That boss sold me on Sekiro. The fight's awesome and flowing and the environment you get to fight him is great, grappling onto him and crashing through the wooden barricades, man. Such joy.
