  1. Nah, no Frenchies in my family that I know of. I had relatives in the French Foreign Legion but I doubt that counts. Properly boiled beef is divine. Sadly that usually means doing it yourself, otherwise you're all too often getting a slab of grey stuff that vaguely resembles food and tastes like arse.
  2. ME:A is easily worth the money for the combat and exploration. The rest of the game is... not up to par, but not nearly as bad as the initial reactions made it out to be. Even if everyone's face is a little tired.
  3. Boiled beef with vegetables and some marrow from the bones spread on bread as well as a nice soup with Leberknödel. And yeah, it tastes a lot better than it sounds.
  4. I can't take them seriously, they made Bard's Tale win "best remake" award. What the hell is Kenshi doing there :D The Bard's Tale remake was actually really well done, even with making the 99 Barbarians fight a one time event.
  5. You assume correctly. The next version is one of the most enjoyable boss fights I've had in any Metroidvania (or side-scroller in general).
  6. Heh, I just read the Outer Worlds forum description for the first time. Little things like these make this place so enjoyable.
  7. Ignoring the unfixable issues Discovery has that really was an entertaining episode. Michael is also no longer an unsufferable arsehole, which helped immensely. It does have an action sequence on Star Trek 2009 level of ridiculousness, but that's par for the course I guess.
  8. In my experience that isn't true. Certain charm combinations can utterily trivialize bosses to the point of them being a pushover, e.g. Shaman Stone and Spell Twister combined with Stalwart Shell will allow you to kill Troupe Master Grimm with Howling Wraiths while he's shooting fireballs - just tank the hits and blast away. There's no reason not to tailor charms to the boss you're fighting or struggling with. At least not unless you're either doing a speed run or can't, like in the Pantheons.
  9. Hum, fried Camembert is properly enjoyed with lingonberry jam.
  10. LucasFilm always had the same stance and deal for creators of fan content, in particular films. You're allowed to use and do whatever you like as long as the creators fund themselves make no money off their work. Star Wars Theory got the same deal (check the videos) and stuck to it only for Disney going ahead to collect all the possible ad revenue LucasFilm wasn't allowing Star Wars Theory to have. And we're talking a lot of money here, considering how popular the fan film turned out to be. Comparatively, Nintendo had a similar, but not quite the same deal for streamers and YouTubers. Nintendo's terms were that they either make no money off their games or if they do, need to sign up and collect through their creator program. They took a share. I said had there because Ninentdo changed their stance recently and you now can fully monetize without them taking a share. I always thought that Nintendo's decision wasn't a smart one as the money they could potentially make from the creators program was never in the same league as the free marketing they get from video and streaming platforms feeding the hype train. Guess that was true considering their change of heart, but the manurestorm from that decision was hilarious. It reminded me of how proponents of alternative medicine harp on about the multi billion dollar machine that big pharma is while happily ignoring how the billion multi dollar machine alternative medicine is selling them sugar and salt for 500$ a pound. Sure LPers weren't happy about Nintendo's decision to be greedy and wanting in on their monetization scheme. But guess why? Yeah. Moneys. What else?
  11. Nope. I know Grimm Troupe is a thing that exists, but I'm only going to find them if the process isn't overly convoluted It's not, they're hidden behind a breakable wall like a lot of stuff.
  12. Well that's a rather difficult question to answer. The Shaman Stone is so powerful that you can use it throughout the entire game. There's a reason MonStahLer uses it (along with Spell Twister) in his speed runs. Well that's a rather difficult question to answer.
  13. Ghost 1.0 was a blast. The plot twist was a bit too obvious but everything else was great. Especially the story presentation and the little TV-show like recaps you got when you loaded your save. Anyone playing Ghost 1.0 on the Switch shouldn't just pause the game and put the console to sleep but quit the game and load the save. It's worth it.
  14. I'm curious, where did you get stuck? I take it you don't like Invincible, Fearless, Sensual, Mysterious, Enchanting, Vigorous, Diligent, Overwhelming, Gorgeous, Passionate, Terrifying, Beautiful, Powerful Grey Prince Zote then?
  15. We also learned crochetting and knitting. Needless to say I hated it with a passion. I'm a talentless hack when it comes to any form of crafting.
  16. Don't worry, give her 10 episodes and she becomes the weakest link in the Game of Thrones cast. Even Kit Harrington surpassed her at some point.
  17. Heh, yeah, they can be. How far along in the game are you?
  18. Jump ahead to 22:30 to skip the introduction.
  19. Love them too. I visited von Däniken's Mystery Park in Switzerland and once met the guy at one of his "lectures" for some ancient aliens fun, I even have an autographed copy of one of his books somewhere. These ancient astronaut guys are as hilarious in real life as they are on TV.
  20. That's because it was. Rushed, I mean.
  21. It for sure proved that 80ies music makes for superior soundtracks. Well and that Eurythmics were the bomb. edit: My favorite scene was the fight with Stefan's psychiatrist, but in general I liked the episode better before he became aware of what is going on.
  22. I'm also using my Switch way more than any other console since the GameCube (and that not only feels like but was half my lifetime ago). Yeah, you can... kinda wait. I've got both and haven't finished either so far. They're good games, sometimes even amazing, but there's something lacking. In case of Breath of the Wild that's easier to put a finger on, it's not Zelda enough for a Zelda game. If that doesn't make sense, watch Joseph Anderson's excellent analysis, he pretty much nailed it: As far as Odyssey goes it's just not nearly as fun as Super Mario Galaxy and its successor were, even if the seamless transition between 3D gameplay and 2D retro gaming is pretty impressive and Mario controls really well.
  23. It had lyrics, Ackbar just didn't like them:
  24. Hollow Knight was a weird case for me too. I struggled with (apparently) easy bosses like the boss at the end of the Trial of the Fool but had no issues traversing the Path of Pain. Edit: Huh. I just beat the boss in Furi in handheld mode on my first attempt today (without getting knocked out even once). How utterly bizarre.
