Whenever I fire up a game of Baldur's Gate I am, every time without fail, impressed with how good the ambient sounds in the game are. I sometimes just turn off the music to stroll through a woodland area or two listening to the breeze and the chirping of birds. I think I'll go face the new Lord of Murder once again. Yes and no. CS focuses more on the tactical element of the XCOM games. Strategy is limited to a small city map and sending your squad members on missions, trainings or giving them tasks to do (help with research, gather money, etc.). It's a fun, albeit short game that was worth the 20€ they asked for it when it launched.

I just killed The Lich in Enter The Gungeon. Which was kind of surprising to me. I was trying out the Rainbow Run modifier and that worked very much in my favor. Blank Bullets, Vulcan, Ancient Hero's Bandana meant that boss did... absolutely nothing. Just stood there shooting at it. So the next time I get to the boss I'll probably die the miserable death I expected while trying to learn his bullet patterns. And I probably used up all the drop luck this game's ever going to give me. Also managed to unlock the shortcuts, the boss rush mode and the Super Hot Watch.

Is the US running a protection racket in Poland? Otherwise it's good for the economy, those soldiers spend a good deal of money wherever they are stationed - which is why removing US troops was used to threaten Germany (and a lot of US troops are to be moved/rotated out of Germany) and Poland got increased troop numbers as "thanks" for their continuing support. What other problems they might bring, US military bases also bring lots of dollars with them.

We have a saying for that - "Wie der Schelm ist, so denkt er" sometimes said as "Wie der Schelm ist, so denkt er vom Anderen", meaning a crook expects everyone else to be crooked (and act accordingly). He's just projecting. Plus Poland has a vested interest in Trump bein reelected so they can continue to fellate him and expect good returns on that, uhm, investment. That'll be a tad harder to accomplish with a presumably less confrontational Biden administration.

Man, lots of chaos just a few kilometers away. Some sort of terrorist attack that apparently started near or at the headquarters of the Jewish Community of Vienna. Luckily "only" one confirmed dead and several wounded so far. Could have been far worse considering there were automatic weapons involved and a LOT of people were on the streets, a warm night one day before the nightly corona curfew begins and all bars and restaurants have to close. edit: Well, there are two confirmed dead people, but one of them is one of the terrorists, so that doesn't really count. Guy was wearing a suicide vest that didn't go off (or remained unused, who knows).

You could probably hug some of our Greek members in lieu of the real person. It's probably even older than that but the earliest recordings we still have go back to Homer. Have to admit I do prefer the darker variants. Especially when they're just finished and still hot and all creamy. It's not really easy to get your hands on those unless you leave nearby a butcher's shop that sells them fresh out of the boiler, so you can kind of do the next best thing by simply heating them up in water. My car has three settings (comfort, neutral, sport) for the amount of resistance you want to get from your steering wheel. Unlike the other settings (transmission, "enhanced" or reduced engine noise) you can choose from I never quite understood what that one is for, but I guess I'm beginning to now.
