  1. That would suck. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Selling your parts or the toolset ?
  2. Chess dosnt have much relevance though. Yes it's TB but it's not like a game where statistics determine the outcome. The tactics in chess come from the restricted pathing. Thats something that dosnt apply to games. If you can do it in real time, then you should. It's pointless trying to simulate a real time enviroment when you dont have to. Full party control made TOEE less dull than FO (since in FO your waiting not only for the enemy, but also your own companions to act). Yet full party control is as unfallout as being real time.
  3. It has references to them. The story follows on from the "secret" ending of part 3. Comes on two DvD's so I'd guess it's pretty big too.
  4. Each character also has a unique skill tree and unlockable combo moves so the combat is much more involved. Plus they all have background stories ala JE and you can chat to them when your resting in your base. They also make stuff for you , which is handy. Each one also has a special puzzle ability (like a grapling hook) so playing a stage with a different partner will open up new routes. The problem I had was I'd just played 3 and they changed the controls so I was pressing the wrong buttons :"> As soon as I'm done with Atellier Iris and Squadron Commander though I'm going right back to it
  5. I have no particular objections to awsome.
  6. A game where you have enforced waiting while the enemy moves. Although BG and IWD had turns ticking away in the background you could move whenever you liked and pause whenever you liked.
  7. You control one and the other one can be set to a specfic state (rather than a list of commands). I'll dig around for the manual. There are four commands (one for each direction , handy that :D ) Follow and attack - just your basic stay with me and hit things. All out attack - way more damage but the life bar decreases over time Stay and heal - ally stands still and heals upto 50% The last one is character specific. For example Jubie's is distract and avoid which basically acts like a taunt effect.
  8. Freedom Fighters was good. How difficult things are to control in real time would depend on just how much control you have over them. Onimusha 4 has quite an interesting command system. It's also very easy to use while having to fight off hordes of monsters.
  9. I'm waiting to see if they can make a game shorter than Jade Empire.
  10. Premise sounds good. The character sounds a bit like the 40k emporer. Wonder if that's how you will end up. Can't say I was wowed by the trailer though.
  11. Can't help you there. More a case of when than if though.
  12. I don't see the big deal about driving 100 mph.. Obviously you wouldnt do it in traffic but if the road conditions are good I dont see anything wrong , or even risky in it.
  13. A lock on feature should sort that out.
  14. Why would a game similiar to Oblivion need TB combat ? If the only reason is because FO and FO 2 did. I don't think thats good enough.
  15. Depends if you do it in traffic or not. I wouldnt recomend doing it in traffic.
  16. Yes it's still a GC title. No there will not be two versions (according to the magazine). Running it on the Revolution will enhance it and you have some features specific to the controller. But equally playable with a standard pad. It looks like they are using it as some sort of transition title.
  17. So did using leaves to wipe until someone invented quilted paper.
  18. Twilight Princess ? Likely to launch alonside the revolution. There was supposed to be a feature in NOM too. But it never happened. The new DS Zelda looks great.Be kind of funny if it beat Twilight Princess to release.
  19. Well I just read about a DS web browser although having to plink away at a stylus to type a message would be really slow.
  20. Stall Drill used to freak me out. There is just something so wrong about it.
  21. According to studios that have seen the dev kits it's a breeze to develop for. Some sources (annon) have said that games can be up and running extremely quickly, freeing up precious time for the important aspects, such as how the Revolution controller will work with the game. Further conversations with big name publishers (annon) revealed that E3 will be the place to see an unexpectadly large ammount of third party software. Aside from Squenix - Crystal Chronicles. Two third parties have confirmed games. Tecmo - Skatto Golf Pangya Revolution. Online focus using Wi-Fi. Crossbeam have three titles. Orb Thorn Darkness (I'd assume those are code names). Which looks and sound RPGish (some concept art in the mag. Nice but not mindblowing). Blitz - something but they wont say. Ogre Battle 64 developer Artdink are working on something. N-space (geist) are also planning on supporting with multiple titles.
  22. The original cyclops model had a huge dangling thing between it's legs that was going to play a part in the nature of it's dispatch. Not suprisingly they had to cut that. The original game has a gallery of things that never made the cut. Ripping the heads off things and or tearing them in half is just another day at the office for Kratos.
  23. SMT:DDS Enter the world of the Junkyard, where rival tribes fight an endless war-vying for supremacy and the right to ascend to Nirvana. 24. A lot of Final Fantasy hype is self generating It's a part of the culture almost. Wish I had kept the link to the TV add for the FF drink someone posted because that was funny I dont think so. While FF is exceptional the sales are higher overall on consoles anyway.
  25. Still Atellier Iris. Other RPGs could learn a thing or two from it's sense of the personal. After that, probably Squadron Commander (AKA Ace Combat 5).
