  1. I dont think so, but then I did play them pretty much in reverse. Starting with X and working down.
  2. Actually I never got DS points for killing the guards. But I think when you open up the alternate exit from the exchange that they are alredy hostile. I dont know if you could really call it a glitch since there is a way to do it without DS points. Just not one you are able to do now. You could always try the different options with the guards see if anything happens.
  3. I had a similiar problem getting the slavers to trigger using the airspeeder to get around. The triggers are likely on or near the transition areas.
  4. Only played KOTOR once as Male. KOTOR II I've played 4 times so I've covered both genders.
  5. Just like real life. The net shift for helping should put you back up there.
  6. More or less. It really soured my experience of KOTOR when Malak actually died on the Leviathon and the game wouldnt let him. At least Sion had a reason (excuse) for why you couldnt kill him on Korriban. Then the whole look at me I'm immortal while running off to my recharge tanks was the last straw(Malak).
  7. There are two alternative ways to solve the pilot quest and the refugee quest.
  8. That name is familiar for some reason...
  9. I recomend ShadowHearts II it's awsome.
  10. Does you character think it's worth more to avoid the taint of the darkside than to unite the husband and wife? I think you only need to get rid of the two entrance guards. Which you should be able to do by failing intimidate on them.
  11. Lord of the Flies.. That comic looks awful btw.
  12. Not every detail just the comparitve powerlevels. Either Sion needed to be shown as more powerful when you met him on Koriban. I mean I could have stood there all day slapping him down when he got back up. But I did do Korriban last If it came down to a played out one on one between Atton and Sion. I would have played it out like this. Scene1. Atton fights Sion and dies within 10 rounds. If Atton lost that fight, cutscene plays of Atton losing. Fair enough because Atton just lost. Scene2. Atton keeps beating Sion down for 10 rounds, or just goes invisible and hides in a corner. 10 rounds later the Exile arrives and finishes the job. Atton lives and you get your happy ending. In either case the rules have been followed rather than just making up an outcome. I'm an exPC gamer. I know what you mean about console RPGs, but they deal with it in a different way. I've never yet seen one where a character is killed then 5 minutes later the PC comes along and kills them. It's always a case of the character dying because they know the PC is too weak at that time and it's the only option. That makes the sacrfice meaningful I think.
  13. Thats why the ruleset is different to the movies. But if your playing with the ruleset then ruleset is the reality of your game.
  14. Sounds about right. Then again Suikoden has a 32 minute ending and I was even more in the dark after that one ended You get a different set of futures for the LS ending and a different fate for the planet. But you will still miss it if you blink.
  15. Only in the bad ones. The good ones merge the two together. If you have to force something like that to tell your story ,then your doing something wrong.
  16. My funny Atton story. Took a wrong turn in GOTOs ship and ended up in the turret room. Down goes Atton, Visis runs away. Then you see Xp 350 on screen followed by Atton falling over again. Took about 20 minutes but he cleared the room, and I had a snack break.
  17. Maybe it is,but it's still important that the reality of the game mechanics be taken into account when writing scenes, otherwise it makes what you do totally pointless. But like Kreia said. It's conflict that makes us strong so it's little wonder with all the conflicts you get into.
  18. KOTOR is about upto Final Fantasies ankle. It's inevitable there will be a third yes. But there is a big difference. Squenix loves its FF franchise , or perhaps respects would be a better word. Lucas Arts on the other hand to tend to milk, and move on when something more attractive comes up. I can see two KOTOR scenario's. One that it's done ready for sometime next year with the same sort of layout as this one, perhaps using the droid planet. Two, you wont see it for 2 or 3 years and when you do it will be all new and on the Xbox II.
  19. Depends which character I am playing.
  20. The "new"(as in IV-VI) movies are over 20 years old. It's probably intentional filling in the blanks in EP I-III. I doubt the intent is that anyone watch them and then watch the old ones. It might possibly apply to the little ones, but unless they are clever little buggers they will be there to see what toys are coming along next.
  21. It may be an idea.. Sounds quite interesting but pirates was essentially a series of mini games at heart.
  22. Books/films are different to games because the only reality is what is shown. Where as in a game you also have the reality of the rules system.
  23. Very true. Thats a lot of variables right there. Non Jedi DS/LS Jedi DS/LS for each of the characters. All to be placed in the appropriate scenes... Although from reading the dialogue of the disciple perhaps the original intent was to always have a Jedi party by the end game regardless.
