  1. I wouldnt call myself a fan but I've seen it enough to know whats going on. It's not about the collecting but rather about what happens during the collecting. Each item they collect does something, it has a consequence much like when you talk to the Jedi, what ultimately happens to them isnt relevent because you dont control fate the only relevant part is the interactions between them and you. There was a lot more to Jackie Chan adventures than just collecting 12 Talismans , at the core you had the big bad evil looking for resurection, the fact that the talismans did something to make you more than that what you were, and the temptations that went with it etc. Self discovery etc. So even if you have 100 things to collect click on it's still not going to add as much as if you had 4 or 5 that were much more more than simple collectables/clickables.
  2. I'm not claiming that only pointing out his behaviour indicates he was acting like he was hiding something. Which is reason enough to be in a situation where he couldnt hide anything and you could search totally free of scrutiny and interference. So whether or not he was a threat he did everything he could to appear like one so I dont feel they are particularly unjustified especially given the vested interests of countries like France.
  3. If it means I get my software earlier I'm all for it :D
  4. You could merge the two threads and just have an information thread. They would cancel each other out.
  5. Exactly so why give the inspectors the run around have they spied on and escorted everywhere other than where they want to go. I'd bet money that he was relying on the UN and especially France to keep everyone off his back and that no way would there actually be a war just lots of empty threats like the UN usualy ammounts to.
  6. first I heard of it but I havnt been watching the news. Not exactly unexpected though.
  7. Indeed and his screenwriting and direction are indeed barely adequete. Still continue to dellude yourself if it makes you happy. Unless your saying the dialogue in EP II makes him a great screenwriter And he always gets steller performances from his actors because hes a fantastic director.
  8. no there is a difference between a fact and a fundamental law If you want to claim factually that George is a great screenwriter and director then you need evidence and best of luck finding any. Just because he is succesful does not make him great ,or even good in those two fields.
  9. The Japanese are imaginative innovators whatever the subject, be it games, electronics or sex This had nothing to do with my marrying a Japanese woman though...
  10. There is a world of difference. Star Maps you just clicked on and that was it. In NwN you just collected and that was it. KOTOR II added depth by adding depth to the 4 things. It wasnt just a case of click the Jedi (except for the dead one) there was meaningful interaction there especially in view of your banishment and how you react to them. Vrook even if you were LS well lets just say he was a realy test of your self control. Very different prospect indeed from clicking on a static object and getting your next puzzle piece.
  11. Actually KOTOR was a bit NwN in space. Betrayed by a female "paladin" searching for four artifacts which point the way to the builders and so on.
  12. With all due respect those games generally suck so badly on a technical level as to be unplayable out of the box and have never in my reckoning met the expectations that they set out with. You cant really fault the ideas but the implementation leaves a lot to be desired and part of that is funding. I dont know of any rule that says console games receive a higher score, of course you would be well advised to take any of the official publications with a pinch of salt. Although having said that NoM gave Mario Ball a very average 68%. In my experience the big name console titles are worthy of those score IF you like that type of game, of course if it's not to your tastes then any score is going to seem too high. BTW I think it's games like Quake Halflife etc that have the highest recorded scores and they are PC titles (granted ones with huge budgets) but I'm not particularly fond of any of them in fact Halo II (never played I) and Mace Griffon are about tied for my favourite FPS so scores are not everything.
  13. As long as thats all they are pulling out. Everyone is going to be looking over PSP holders shoulders to see if they are watching porn.
  14. No you missed the point. If the US pull out and Syria and Iran step up trying to destabalise Iraq which is a democratic nation with its own elected representatives then America is doing the right thing by helping them out and it would likely bring the other nations on board too. Well the Arabs did band together and attack Isreal shortly after it was recognised and Isreal beat them so I cant say I have much sympathy for them. The terrorists are just prolonging things they cant win and they already have the notice of the international forum so all they are doing by continuing is giving Isreal the same mandate to defend itself by building all those walls and stuff.
  15. It not only sounds lame it is lame. In order to be in a position to do that you would have to be in control, or be welcome in the country. These folks dont want to change, change threatens there very being since they live in an ideolgy bubble. So unless you go in sort everyone who is against you out you cant do it. The Romans did it , but those who would not "romanise" died of course the romans were not as respectful of life as we are which ironically worked in their advantage.Dont forget you got to keep your religion and the romans incorporated it into theirs too. But the idea that you can just pop over and feed and educate people is quite frankly laughable. You can educate people once you sweep away the ignorant and fanatics but not before. And the current regemes dont want their people educated, they want them weak stupid and easy to control. We have freedom of religion and all that stuff and they dont want it they want one religion and they want it to be theirs and thats were the negotiation ends with the fanatics.
  16. It dosnt always work out that way. The PS2 is argueably the least powerful of the consoles, yet sony won this war hands down and the one before that against the N64 which was a fantastic machine and had what I consider the best game of all time on it. Ironically now MS have the least powerful console on paper but the advantage of coming first. But I think Sony will have that countered with it's full backward compatibility. Nintendo will continue to do it's own thing like it has this time around. The GC is probably going to end up with the best game of this console generation too Zelda:The Twighlight Princess. Where it leaves the PC in the dust is because no one is throwing money behind the PC in the same way.
  17. The last PC game I bought was Dawn of War.
  18. George really couldnt ask for a better scenario. They wouldnt humiliate the US they would give it perfect justifaction to invade.
  19. Oh they would they would then pick on softer targets. In other words they are scum Your words not mine. The only way to guarentee that those people following the aid trucks are not terrorists is to not send the aid. Unless of course you have alternative to offer
  20. I never believed those were real until I saw them.
  21. Sorcsha you are my sun, my moon my everything. The air that I breathe... Next morning. WHAT DO YOU MEAN IT WENT AWAY <Smack>
  22. Yep eventually people get the idea your not to be messed with and leave you well alone. And they have no business being there. It's not their country and it's not their war ergo they have nothing to lose by their actions since they dont give a rats arse about Iraq. So dont send aid in case it falls into the hands of terrorists sounds fine to me but totally contradicts what you said eariler. And if its so ignorant and stupid why are you acknowledging that it is in fact true that a aid gets diverted to terrorits... Cant have it both ways.
  23. Back in April, you may recall, Playboy announced plans to offer downloadable content for PSP - mainly comprising clips of a chesty woman dressed up as some kind of videogame heroine and going "Oooh yeah." Well, that's nothing compared to what Japanese porn factory GLAY'z has got lined up for the PSP. Five of their finest and and most hardcore offerings are getting an outing on the UMD - and that's just for starters. The titles announced so far are: High Grade Class First Soap Lady - Anna Kaneshiro, Loli Nanpa 5, Goku Hong - Riko Tachibana, The Nurse of a Big Breast and Erotic Terrorist Beautiful Body. Most of them are uncensored, i.e. you can see it going in and out and everything. Advertisement Four of the movies, in case you're not familiar with GLAY'z's body of work, feature famous Japanese porno starlets, while the fifth is subtitled "Premature flesh is the area which became wet hotly." Um. The official word is that all the UMDs will be region-encoded, but since the UK and Japan share the same Region (2), filthy-minded European PSP owners should be fine. And anyway, rumour has it they'll actually be region-free, so you'll be fine even if you bought a US PSP. [You'll be hellbound, obviously, but fine. -Ed] We contacted Sony to ask if they'll be allowing European pornmongers to follow suit - but a representative told us they're not in a position to comment at this time. Expect more news soon. GLAY'z's first batch of porno UMDs will be out in July, with more promised to follow - here's hoping they'll include other classics we found listed in the back catalogue, such as Burst, Sexual Humiliation Hospital and The Excellent Breast Body ERO Titism. Which begs the question are people going to be sitting on buses and trains playing porn.
  24. This is what Nintendo had to say on the next gen subject. Nintendo president Satoru Iwata, meanwhile, cast doubt on the efforts of both Sony and Microsoft, complaining that the concentration on CPU power and high definition visuals would "bloat up development costs". Once again, Iwata's message was that Nintendo wants to attract non-gamers to the medium by creating games that differ from the current crop, citing Nintendogs as an example of how it's already started to do this. "We're not about selling new kinds of TVs or taking control of the living room," he added on the subject of technology. Lets see my take on PC gaming. If your willing to pay for it its great. Otherwise you have to compromise more and more the older your machine gets. How many people here say oh well my PC wont play that. Never happens with a console, for the life of the console it will play everything. It's really only this generation that the gap has become narrow enough but I've got no regrets whatsoever about "jumping ship" next gen the gap will narrow even more to the point where its insignificant.
  25. It's just not being applied on a large enough scale. I'll scale it down for you your hiding a criminal in your house. I ask you to step out the way so I can get him. You dont so I flatten your house with him and you in it. Now I wouldnt feel bad about that at all since I gave you the chance to hand them over. One thing to note about the insurgents is they are quite happy blowing up thier own people so there is no nobility in their cause and they are not doing it for the good of the people. Tons of aid has been sent to various countries all it results in is well fed terrorists. go here http://www.flat-earth.org/ it will give an idea of the sort of mind numbing ignorance out there.
