  1. Bubblegum Crisis
  2. Which if sold would have over a 300% return... Thats a pretty smart investment in my book.
  3. Yes because it's organic, your actions are important not simply a case of come back and be spoonfed some more story when you gain a level. That people cant handle the idea of failiure (losing influence)/not being able to see everything because it isnt bloody obvious isnt a flaw in the system as much as a flaw in them. On the contrary the backstories filled in many of the questions. KOTOR II also has inter-related NPCs where something you ask one NPC will open up a new dialogue path with another. It also makes sense that you would become friendly with those characters who most closely share your views (or have to break their will, or pretend you share them, perhaps challenging your own in the process, and certainly sullying yourself).
  4. Yes but he's not Canderous anymore. Think of it like a super hero who never takes off the mask. Canderous is losing his self identity to Mandalore. Which is exactly what happened to Darth Vader, remember the words of Obi Wan
  5. The more droid related things you discover the less influence you need to figure out what GOTO is.
  6. No, your just not looking at it from the right direction.
  7. There wasnt any. Going on sidequest dosnt equal character development. Each character went on, what was supposed to be this pivitol side quest, that ended up having no affect what so ever on their personality or values.
  8. It's a very good line to take if you want to appear less geeky :D
  9. It's still lightyears ahead of what most other RPGs are offering. Which is why I have a hard time taking your disapointment seriously. If you set your expectations too high, then disapointment is inevitable. The story you are expecting isnt possible without either totally pregenerated character, or a much larger workload. That Obsidian pulled of what the did in KOTOR II in a year boarders on the miraculous.
  10. Mandalore is NOT Canderous any more than Darth Vader is Anakin Skywalker.
  11. LA are probably better off outsourcing. Then they dont have to worry about paying anyone during those times they are not doing anything particularly productive. Different software houses usually have a reputation for being good at different things, and sometimes its hard to escape that and do something new. If you can get by doing your own stuff, then the advantages are quite clear. The only way you would be likely to go back to licsenced after that is if your own stuff started to bomb bigtime, while not taking your reputation with it.
  12. Your Boba Fett pic dosnt seem to be working. Probably not a bad investment for when you outgrow it, assuming you ever do.
  13. Can't really call yourself a gamer if you simply dismiss things which you are not good at.
  14. It's a good topic even if it's strayed a little. Saves me having to hunt around for anything as well which is always a bonus.
  15. Its usually a safe bet. Unless its technical help , in which case its the tech forum.
  16. Serious value for money that
  17. Yes fundamentally it is. The characters in DAII play differently Jade Empire characters do not. Whether or not you can choose different conversation options has no bearing at all on this. Plus of course you have the two player aspect, which JE dosnt have. With Jade Empires camera view a DA style game would be absolutely spiffy. People on the bioware boards are good for endless hours of amusement.
  18. If you read you will see I am refering to the second one. DA II is close to 20 hours and with much more variation in replayability. Unlike JE the characters do play different from each other on principle rather than just being full bodied heads. Actually I find it much easier to believe people who finished Jade Empire in 15 hours since all that is required is skipping some of the dialogue VO and simply speed reading. On the other hand I have a hard time buying the 30+ hour claims without introducing some major procrastination into the mix.
  19. I probably should have said without delving into ancient history. Still that you would have to do that pretty much makes the point anyway.
  20. What else has the depth of story that KOTOR II does ? Without looking across to Japan anyway.
