I'm sure whoever gets it will cobble through part III. If it is Obsidian I expect they would be looking forward to a new trilogy rather than taking over someone elses work which is always awkward.

Well that's true. The whole cast would dead! (save for Exile) <{POST_SNAPBACK}> It's not certain that they would have been though. It was just a possible outcome. If everyone did die, then your problems are solved albeit in an extreme fashion.

You would probably only notice 5 years of aging in a relatively young person. Or if someone got fat.

Possibly , but if the idea was for a trilogy then some connection with the previous game would be required. Each cast and protagonist you add tends to compound the problems of the continuities. If KOTOR III ties things up, then your free to go to town when it comes to killing people off because you dont have to worry about it in future games. KOTOR II with it's "original" ending would have beena continuity nightmare.

As long as they move really far forward so they can totally ditch the current story arc.

Suprisingly thats not an uncommon theory. A clean break after KOTORIII would be a desirable thing all around. Not sure if I'd want to see KOTOR prequels though seems kind of pointless.

Pretty sure. He says something like "this baby still has a few tricks up her sleeve" and the gun pops out and nails the snowtroopers as they are setting up a heavy blaster.

It reminds me of the Falcon scene on Hoth. I'm sure thats what they had in mind when they came up with it.

I think we are talking about two different things here. I'm talking about the peragus asteroid just before you escape. It sounds to me like your talking about the tower on Ondaron ?

I'd usualy let them on so I could have all the extra stuff. You could. But thats different from dying as a result of a game that has nothing to do with your character I guess.

I suppose it was ok because there was no way to actually fail at it.

Lost Vikings, that was a fun little game.

The usual one is something your on gets attacked. You jump into a spare fighter and hold off the waves, then you land and mop up what is left. This way even if you suck at the starfighter bit you can still take them out in the normal KOTOR fashion. Bit like the turret on Peragus. It's simply a case of having your "death" result in having to make an emergency landing. If some people thought the turrets were hard , then a level from JSF would probably have them in tears of frustration.

Probably be easier just to stick a couple of battles from Jedi Starfighter in there.

Mini games are always tricky because they have nothing to do with roleplaying. Dont know if you were around the Bio boards when it came up that KOTOR would have mini games but it was highly charged to say the least.

I was suprised the first time someone called the turret game hard. I think KOTOR II had two optional uses of the turret not counting the ground based one. In KOTOR it seemed random as you traveled between planets.

Lucas Arts did some rather good adventures back in the day. Never personally found adventure games great value for money. Thats a million dollar question one that I havnt reached any conclusion on yet. highly likely.
