Hell yes, came in from a 12-hour day outside and found an Amazon Gold Box Deal in my inbox ... the original Cosmos series by Carl Sagan for $39. Today only. 780 minutes of Carl's dreamy voice telling me it's okay to be alive and marvel at the universe. BOOM!

Yeah, no kidding, for that kind of money, you can have two blondes, a redhead, and Japanese twins.
Keeping the same monitor or upgrading that, too. For DIY, I would stay at 1080p and put the cash into a single GPU system (R9 280, at most) with all solid-state storage. Even though I'm an AMD guy, it's almost a crime against performance to not recommend Intel CPU.

Well done Netherlands !!!!
All I can say is that you did your country proud
Man, you realy get super excited about the most random things.
The rails ended some time ago, but the train continues, somehow, inexorably.
Is the game on TV today ... I don't have cable. I see they're shutting down a city block here, for the final. It's as if Americans care about soccer. In real football news, pre-season starts August 7, Cowboys, Chargers. Finally!

I've never heard Obsidian say they value IP over cash, much less 'repeatedly'. It would be practically unethical for them to dismiss the value of profit from PoE.

Dudes are boring to play, unless they're behind a mask and wear black and have twin weapons like cool guys do, Snake Eyes. Unless ... well, I'm really looking forward to The Last of Us Remastered in two weeks, and it's supposed to have a pretty cool unmasked male protagonist. But yeah, like, even all the comics I read are about the ladies ... Black Widow, She-Hulk, Wonder Woman, Elektra ...
Still tottering around in Cyseal, talking to guards, going through portals ... I tried not very hard to fight a big orc on the beach but he turned red and pummeled all three of us.

A lot of us are getting two backer copies, a digital key and retail box. So really, sort of a double loss. I've decided I'll actually buy a third copy of PoE, if I approve of Obsidian's next unannounced project ... just to see what it feels like to be an entitled gamer.

It's the little things that keep me putting one foot in front of the other--like new Honey-Comb cereal with Twisted Marshmallows. Oh yeah, it's in the cupboard right now, fresh, unopened, waiting ...

Ooh, hmm, what proportions, like half a bottle to a shot. That sounds downright specifically delicious.

That's easy, pear.

Are you stoned, again, South Africa.

Meanwhile, near the wellspring of all things role-playing, I noticed today the new edition of Dungeons & Dragons will encourage freedom of thought regarding sexual identity and behavior. For the first time ever, that I'm aware of. From the just-released, free PDF of Basic Rules ...
You can play a male or female character without gaining any special benefits or hindrances. Think about how your character does or does not conform to the broader culture's expectation of sex, gender, and sexual behavior.
You don't need to be confined to binary notions of sex and gender.
Likewise, your character's sexual orientation is for you to decide.
I'm struck by the common sense of it, and it's neat that Wizards acknowledges freedom of choice in an RPG without beating my brow over social justice--as do the caricatures of cRPG's seem inclined.
If Obsidian could replicate this happy inclusivity in a streak-free finish, then I'd be in favor of a storied PoE intimacy. The ick of inclusion for the sake of inclusion appears to be too much, at this point, though.

the people spoke Icelandic with me until they realized that I only speak English.
Not German?

Rub it in, man, rub it right in. The MK8 bundle is still un-damn-available.

Well if the number of times I swore out loud, in surprise, is any indication ... Extant is a masterpiece. I probably blurted more OMG's, WTF's, HS's, and JH.C's than any show in recent memory, sci-fi or no sci-fi. Ms. Berry just garnered infinity respect from this viewer, after that performance, HS. Production values off the charts. Totally, refreshingly unpredictable.

Skyrim's rieklings are the worst shouty, stabbey, pseudo-kobolds ever.

Ooh, ooh! I know what those are! Columnar lava jointing!
God, geology is the best. Great photos.

What, fake signatures, that's not right. The whole reason I supported--one of the main reasons I supported the Reading Rainbow Kickstarter, was for the signed headshot from LeVar. If all I wanted was a facsimile, I could just do it myself and call it an autograph ... that's not right, at all.

Say we sneak past the xaurip horde and kill the dragon without them knowing ... whew, imagine the look on their faces.
Your god is dead, you little badswords, now come work for me ... said my dark paladin.

Truly an extraordinary game. No screenshot can do justice to the pretty pretty. And the music ... christ.
Have only played an hour, but it feels as though I got my money's worth, already. Started with a fighter and a rogue, brunette and redhead. Very attractive pair with posh Brit accents. Love it.

Oh, that explains it. Nightjar. I thought, that is the most weird-ass name for a product in the history of--what the hell goes into jars at night ... dentures, quarters, vinegar ... flowers, probably, at cool people's houses. Then I looked it up, and it's the name of a bird, as well as a modular, fanless PSU from Silverstone. Never, ever, ever heard of it, before.

Really, no jokes about Brazil getting waxed?

Gameplay footage in six weeks! Quick, send a note to the parents of those complaining about the lack thereof. Actually ... no, don't.

That is a really good question, especially as it's a signed edition. Somehow the signature has to get on the box, and then to Norway. Which then makes me wonder, where will the box originate? Irvine? Sweden? Two printers, maybe? One in the US, one in Europe? Are they sending signed editions from Irvine to Sweden? Are they sending the Obsidian crew to Europe, to sign a bunch of goods?
Where do things go first in Europe, anyway, who has the main port ... so many questions I have.

Asking for people's opinions--no, that ain't how it began. You said this game is stupid and you'll never buy it, here's why ...
Thought you were normally reasonably cogent, but not in this thread.
