To put it simply, after the war against Revan and Malak, the Republic was to weak and couldnt capitalize, and the large parts of the sith fleet that were left took advantage. One question remains: are the sith united, or fighting amonst themselves, with each faction under the control of a sith lord.

Question: Is the release date still looking good, no delays and the like i mean Question: What impact will choice of gender hav, (anything more than just the effect on romances) Question: Has any classic starwars music been added (imperial march and the like)

i think it is because that is the age and look when anakin becmoes vader (i guess they decided to make vader and anakin seprate ppl, like a spilt personality thing)

Perhaps he was chosen, after all he did go to Korriban to find a starmap, whos to say he wasnt apointed by a spirit there, we do not know do we.

I must say i hav to agree with Astatine. There must hav been many instances in the history of starwars when sithlords apointed themselves rather than apointed by some long dead ghost.

Perhaps they were considered sith lords by the jedi, but didnt consider themselves sithlords, just leaders of a rebellion to remove a corrupt goverment. (At least at first) I again raise the point of us knowing very little of Revans past, for all we know, he could hav been apointed by a sith spirit.

Ok, maybe the knowledge wasnt lost, but it must hav been becoming a little useless. I mean, these sith sorcerors always got killed in one form or another by jedi. So would it make sense to use it at all. Besides, would Exars army of followers not hav been hunted down to extinction by the jedi, or simply hav given up with the death of their leader. As far as i can tell, Vader and Palpatine werent apointed either. If i am missing something out of EU tell me, but as far as i know, Vader and Palpatine werent apointed by some spirit either, they simply seized it, much like what Revan and Malak would hav done. I never thought this topic would be so damn popular. Nur Ab Sal, i hav to say u r wrong here. Revan did not let the jedi brainwash him. He had no choice in the matter. Somehow, i doubt Revan would be a sorceror, by Revan's time, the knowledge of ancient sith magics had long been lost, and there would be little chance in rediscovering them. Revan is not just smart. In reality, like Vader, we haven't really seen Darth Revans true talents, because all we hav to go on (for the moment) are stories from NPCs and a couple of flashbacks.

I am a big starwars fan aswell, and i see KOTOR as only part of the starwars universe, but i am simply stating how even i beleive Revan and Vader to be. I truly do see Vader as superior in force, but i see Revan superior in saber. I consider the strengths and weaknesses of both, not just in force ability. It would hav taken longer for Revan to decimate the Republic, since Bastila helped the Republic survive by helping them win key victories. When Thrawn attacked the New Republic, they were hardly into life, sorta like a new born baby, and the Remnants were far more experienced. Also, we never saw Darth Revan use any force abilty at all. Again, showing how little we know bout him, and the possibility he could hav been on a par with Vader.

He may not hav blown up any starsystem, or frozen the entire galatic senate. But in 5years, he decimated the Republic through combat, and turning Republic soldiers and jedi over to the Sith, even with Bastila's Battle Meditation aiding the Republic. That simply shows how powerful he was in combat on a grand scale. As i hav stated before, Revan's strength lies in saber combat. he would obvioulsly have applied his tactical genius to saber combat. He may not be as adept in the force, but in saber combat, i beleive Revan to be superior. Besides, as u hav stated before Nur Ab Sal, we know little of Revan before his brainwashing. For all we know, he could hav been on par with Vader.

I dont blame it all on GL, but that is just how i feel. (No more talk on this pls) I am starting to think of another thread (wont turn up for a little while yet) but it should be just as popular as this one. Vader/Anakin is indeed the Chosen One, but as we all know, the furthur back in starwars history we go, the more powerful the jedi and sith are in power. Think about it, Vader may hav been most powerful in his time, but go back 4000years, and even with less midichlorians, Revan could easily hav been just as powerful as Vader.

And i thought i was fanatical. One problem about considering Revan furthuring his powers. we do not know his age. For all we know, he could be anywhere from 20-40years of age. (EDIT) I beleive him to be around 22-25 I beleive that there is no maximum to force abilities, that they can be constantly enhanced and improved upon. Bastila can use Battle Meditation because she has natural ability and has peace of mind when doing it. (LS terms i am speaking in after this). If Revan trained enough, he could become just as adept as Bastila, though nether surpass her. The basic idea of this is that the force decided what happened on that day, not simple luck or Revan being weak, but because the force decided it. There is one area that Vader is weaker in than Revan; emotion. Revan would have gladly killed Bastila and her boarding party without even a second thought. Vader could not bring himself to kill Luke. A second thing, (speaking in LS terms again) Revan was not redeemed by choice, at least in part, since he did not want to become a jedi again, until he was brainwashed, Vader did redeem himself by choice, by saving Luke. So perhaps Revan is stronger in strengh of will to the darkside I do not beleive GL's word is so holy, not after the scandal of the release dates. I will continue to beleive in Revan, since i like him so much, and i beleive him to be a legend. True Vader/Anakin was the Chosen One, but that was not before a fall to the darkside, again perhaps showing his lack of willpower.

Despite being a darklord, he is only human, and not even he can anticipate everything. True that in a few years, Bastila would become incredibly powerful, but Revan's own power would also hav increased. Also, consider that if, Lightside or darkside, u decide to et Bastila live, she might teach Revan Battle Meditation. Plus, if Malak was so good in lightsaber combat, how come u beat him as Revan, after Revan had been brainwashed i might add. As Darkside Revan, u reclaim the mantle of Darklord. Bastila would gain more power over the years, but Revan would hav learnt from his mistake against Malak, increased his own power, and anticipated Bastila's challenge. As Lightside Revan, Revan and Bastila would hav grown in unison together, eventually they would become as powerful as each other. They would be powerful alone. Now combine the 2 and u get an unstopable Jedi duo. Much like the duo of Luke and Leia. (Pls note i am thinking of if u decide to let Bastila live) Now imagine this powerful Revan vs Vader. After xtra years of training, he could hav easily become equal to Vader, even surpass him. Vader would also train, and would easily be able to keep up with Revan, and perhaps be able to keep one step ahead of him.

Firstly it is spelt Revan Secondly, that is why i feel so many like Revan, because u were him, and he was the ultimate in his time. Vader was the ultimate in his time. Again showing how even they are.

U may think Revans story is crappy, myself, and many others,dont. I aint blind to KOTORs flaws, and yes TSL will improve upon the original in evry single way. I am just saying that despite what u think, many of us here like Revan, and i created this a sort of legendvslegend poll, since many see Revan as a legend. I must say, i would hav liked for me to continue as Revan, but i can see the problems in it. For example, u would be so powerful as Revan, no one would or could challenge u at all. It would be far 2 easy. Anyway, despite the incredible arguments some hav put forward for RevanvsVader, i still see it as a draw. P.S. I hope we see Revan in TSL (no need to tell me what u think Nur) since i want to see how his story plays out. More P.S. cant get evrything ur own way Gallo, sorry. Even more P.S. First off U MADMAN. Both PC and international Xboxers must wait 2 extra months, which u were happy about, now u want it delayed until 2007 at the earliest. Can u ever be pleased, sheesh. If that is manipulation, then i like manipulation. Vader was darklord true, but he was also apprentice to Palpatine. Revan was the master over an apprentice. To be blunt, if u do not like KOTOR, why complain to us bout it. In case u aint noticed, most of us here love KOTOR, and see Revan as a legend in himself. True the story is very similar to NWN, but that doesnt matter, it is still a great story. To you maybe, but to many others, it is a worthy comparison. Yes many hav said Vader would win, less hav said Revan, but they hav given credit to Revan with his skills in force and saber etc. If you do not like KOTOR, dont complain to us, complain to the devs, as we normal ppl can do nothing bout it, and for that matter, most of us do not want to change anyting bout KOTOR.

Lets not forget Vader held back in Ep5, because he didnt want to kill Luke. If Vader went all out in Ep5, there would be no Luke Skywaker for Ep6. Revan was darklord of the sith, Vader wasnt, but hell, they each wiped out dozens of jedi themselves, so that makes up for Vader being only apprentice to Palpatine. As i hav said before, we rarely see Vader use any force power during a duel (that was only seen in Ep5). In the end, in a duel between Revan and Vader, it looks like it will come down to skills with a saber.

No point, r u even considering online play, and then there is the galactic conquest mode, and instant action for single player. i dont think he has even scratched the surface of Battlefront.

Lets not forget u r comparing long (and i mean long) dead sith lords, who had knowledge of ancient magics. Neither Revan or Vader will hav had their knowledge. I know Revan is ancient compared to Vader, but compared to Exar and Naga, Revan, and he would be considered quite young. Also, lets not forget that when Revan was brainwashed, his mind was aready practically dead apart from one spark of life (man i am starting to sound like Bastila, i really am a fanatic). He was injured by a blast from a hit on his bridge. He did not expect the attack, he should hav, but he didnt. Revan and Vader will hav had a lot of knowledge in the force, they simply didnt use it very often, relying more on skills with a lightsaber, and cunning strategies. That is what made them both so powerful and feared. not overuse of the force, or twisted sith magics, but skills with a lightsaber and cunning strategies. In modern times (compared to Exar and Naga) the force is used less, because it became less important witrh the invention of the lightsaber by the sullustans. (who originally designed it to be used as a mining tool)

I suppose it would, though a better example might be the planet Byss, which is covered in darkside energy (for what reason i do not know). Makes sense, but i still find it a little over the top

True, very true. It also requires sheer talent and skill. Another area i beleive Revan and Vader are practically equal. i mean, in the short time both were darklords, they each subjugated the galaxy (well almost for Revan, because of Bastila and her Battle Meditation and Malak), and wiped out more than there fair share of jedi. That has to count for something. Even against ol Exar Kun.
