  1. I love voice acting, don't get me wrong. I do v/o work on occasion. That said, it's a bit game-breaking. I don't envision my character talking like that... 'I wouldn't say that!? Why do I sound so stupid?' I LOVE the v/o on SW:TOR - but it's a little annoying that every Class has the same male/female voice. If you have more than one Jedi Knight or Bounty Hunter in your party of the same gender, they'll both sound alike. My twi'lek is supposed to be a lowly servant. Why does she sound all haughty and superior? I wouldn't mind if there's v/o for some of the game, but the main character shouldn't have to talk. I do like it when there's 'noise' options -like if I'm hit I'll make this sound, or go oooh when I find this item, or this kind of cheer when I am victorious. But don't force everyone to 'sound' alike.
  2. By firearms I mean old style black-powder rifles, where you have to prime the barrel and add your own fuse. Incredibly powerful but limited to maybe one shot at range before you switch to melee.
  3. Now that KS is over I guess the party continues here! I'm Constance - a RL Bard and gamer. My husband makes cool stuff, and a good chunk of my friends are in the game industry. I can't wait to see what the Obsidian team will put together for us but it looks amazing so far.
  4. Hey, look, it's a thread I have some expert knowledge in! There are a LOT of appropriate folk music groups in SoCal, some of which specialize in strange instruments as mentioned in the poll. (Serpent and hurdygurty, etc). And I know them or how to get in touch with them. I'm sure Bell does too, but hey, this one I can offer some notes on. As for music - I'm gonna toss out the link to the celtic folk-rock group I was with for a while, Sportive Tricks. They've performed at Faires and pubs in SoCal (Mostly OC - GRR!) but you may also be interested in Poxy Boggards or Merry Wives of Windsor if this is your kind of sound. I'd also recommend Wren of Iniquity if they're going for a more polished style. http://www.sportivet...rchandise.cfm Sportive Tricks Music I wrote Ode to Whiskey and composed the counter-harmony on Twa Corbies. I'm the soprano on the album. :D Cheers! - Constance
  5. The OO Made the final moments of the countdown so much more fun. And thanks for the compliments on my cd, guys. It really does make me proud to be a Chanter when I get feedback from the community. :D
  6. Since I've mentioned this on KS - I'm a bard/Chanter RL. Here is a link to my (former) Band's CD - Old Docs, New Tricks http://www.sportivetricks.com/merchandise.cfm Ode to Whiskey is mine and I've got lead vocals. You can hear me on harmonies throughout and lead vocals on Mrs. McGrath. Enjoy!
  7. Constance - Chantress of the Obsidian Order (Or just the OO) aka Constance Chamberlain from KS. :D 8 bucks tossed in.
