  1. There were too many "you have to do this" cutscenes. I wanted to fight all the fisheads and not get arrested, I wanted to fight the entire admirals ship., I wanted to fight the dragon, etc... Like I said, the game forced you to doi what it wanted in a very unnatural way.
  2. Dogmeat! All the NPC's sucked.
  3. Combat in KotOR was crap. For a game with so much of it they could have tried to make it interesting. The way you couldn't use drain life on townspeople was annoying. In fact the whole story implementation felt forced and unnatural to my PC.
  4. You misrepresent BG1 vs BG2. In both you had the same linearity, in BG1 you had huge area's you could explore at any time, even without advancing the plot. The plot advance in BG2 is just as linear.

  8. You assume the plot is worth advancing. If you don't like RPGs why are you even here to discuss them? LOL, jumping to conclusions are we? No, making observations based on what you say. It's like you said, I can only draw conclusions from what you write. Ah, then it is your judgement that is at fault here.

  10. Reckon I should include my pic in the resume then, eh, Karzak? I'm attractive, but I'm hopeing to get a position where they'll hire me for my brains and ability! But thanks anyway. Why does it have to be about brains? Most of these designers don't know what a hottie looks like outside of 3d max, think of the good you could do them. Taking TKD instead of a real martial art does call your jugdement into question, but don't put much weight into what I say anyway..

  13. Lets see, the first prequil was bad, the second on worse, lets see how the third one goes. I'll be suprised if its better than "attack of the killer tomatoes"
  14. There wasn't much original in LotR, or SW. Now Star Trek, thats where we get good stuff from.
  15. The problem is the same one Bio had in NWN, trying to please too many people and not doing a good job for any specific group. KotOR is an RPG, just not a good one for RPG fans. It is a good action game, if you aren't a hard core action fan. It is a good console game, I guess, but it ain't super mario. Bio can do well with this type of effort as long as they have D&D or SW to work with. A game can be mediocre and still sell well and get good reviews if you have a popular, known gameworld. KotORII will do well no matter what they do to it, especially if it is released on console and PC, or console only. It will be hard to screw that one up. (unless the third new SW movie is bad enough to actually kill all the SW fans outright, a distinct possibility).

  21. KotOR was, for all intents and purposes, a port. It was just a parrellel developed port.
