  1. The point is that the developers went with a "one size fits all", also there were no plot twists in FO1 that required tandi to become evil or harold to die, so they made some fairly safe assumptions. It's simple for KotOR2, will the devs spend lots of time trying to make every KotOR1 ending scenario fit, or will they just do what is easy and timely and not complicate things? Why would they bring joloony back when they know he had to die in many games? It's easist to ignore him.
  2. Well, they usually don't in a crpg. KotOR2 is similar to FO2 in the way it has a fundamental dissconnect between the characters in both. There is a connection, but its far enough removed not to burden the developers with a lot of dialog and event trees.
  3. they didn't say NPC's will change. Don't read more into what they said than is there.
  4. It's not a fallacy, it is simply what is most likely based on how game developers work. Since joloony died in some games, it's more trouble to have him return in some games and not in others than is is to just not have him return in all kotor2 games.
  5. The obsidinis can: a. actually write out and develop a complex set of storylines based on your inputs, putting a lot of time and effort into seeing the game continues according to each and every possible set of NPC's and their fates. b. make a one size fits all game based on the NPC's that survived all the scenarios. Hmmm, I wonder which they will do How did BG2 handle that?
  6. LOL, you overestimate yourself. And you are too easily offended. I'll be glad when you have me on your ignore list.
  7. He's dead, get over it.
  8. Agreed. Now if only they'd either get rid of, or somehow make interesting, that little T3 machine. Or not, it would be better if they could just make him non combat, simply a lockpick/hacking tool.
  9. Ahh, you say it, but you obviously don't mean it.
  10. He was killed, chopped up with my lightsaber, how can he return?
  11. Yea, increase the game playing time by having you walk further for the fed ex quests
  12. The option for real FPS type combat would be better still.
  13. Is that a light sabre in your pocket, or are you just glad to see me?
  14. She is a glorious trophy apprentice for a successful dark lord.
  15. I know, she didn't even have ink like most of the little 14 year old britney spears wannabes I see at the malls.
  16. KotOR 2 will follow the same formula and hve the same engine, it will be played very safe, and won't revolutionize anything. KotOR 1 was hardly revolutionary either, it was a good game, but the only thing that makes some people think its great is that it is star wars.
  17. My personal motto is "eight to eighty, blind crippled or crazy"
  18. Nothing will go wrong, it will be just like playing KotORI all over again.
  19. I don't think anything can make combat better in the KotOR engine.
  20. Get a life darque, you are not suited for board moderator so quit trying to be one.
  21. Halo is the obvious choice.
  22. Wasn't this game released in europe? In the german version do you kill her if you choose the dark path as well? If so, she can't be a child, that would make the game illegal.
  23. Vader paied with his life for going from dark to light, in a single moment. It was a poor choice on his part, his change didn't kill him, his master did. He didn't pay when he went from light (or maybe medium, or medium rare, or over easy) in the first place, the rest of the stupid jedi paied with their lives.
  24. Why did the sports stuff work on misson? She should have been braless, and had a thong and lower back inked like most hot street girls. Dude - she's underage. LOL, then why was I allowed to kill her? She's too young for sex, but old enough to get slaughtered with a light saber for not swearing fealty to a dark lord?
