Hmm... actually blocking obnoxious PMs from certain folks is the primary appeal of an Ignore function. I'm not being flippant; totally serious. Excessive and abusive PMs are the bane of any message board. Being able to simply flip a switch and block PMs from those who are using the function as harassment is really quite handy. I took a totally different understanding to what Karzak was saying there -- I thought that he was saying that he prefers email to pm's because he can archive it in case an issue comes up later, and pm's can't be archived (well, not as easily). With that thought, I agree. I prefer emails to pms because I can keep the email longer, and I don't have to worry quite as much about getting rid of old emails to make room for new ones - at which point everything is lost for good (cause I'm too lazy to save each pm individually, truth be told). --- however, from the last few comments, I don't think that is what was originally meant. That is what I meant, I lost a lot of PM's from my last beating by the board mods cause my inbox maxxed and I was too emotianally upset over it to cut and paste them somewhere else. Although my larger point is that ignoring mods or recieving their PM's doesn't make any real difference. It's not like actually getting warnings is going to make me nicer anyway, quite the opposite in fact.

Even in an enlightened democracy ignorence of the law is no excuse. Also, don't you use PM to inform people of their transgressions, since you want to keep that stuff off the boards? Help me here, I don't see where putting a mod on an ignore list would have any impact on the way mods operate on this board.
