This is a mean statement, the same information could have been said nicely, or in a neutral way. I'm not defending volo, I don't like volo enough to defend him, I am defending the board rules, or more precicely, I am pointing out that the board rules seem to be lightly enforced. Which is fine, as long as they are not selectively enforced. I am also pointing out that by asking for popular votes on mods, the board admin puts himself in a difficult position by appointing people without a vote (unequal treatment), and by claiming a vote on an existing mod is a personal attack. If a vote on an existing mod is a personal attack, so is a vote on a non mod. Unless of course mods are royalty and the regular posters peons to the mod staff?

LOL, proof of what? Read the rules and there is proof. You sure are ready to demand much stricter standerds for others than you do for yourself. That probably makes you mod material!

ROTFL, the rule against being mean is black and white, if you want to say its OK to be mean, well, I suggest you read the rules. LOL, I like the way you decide for the mods yourself. If I earned the warnings, where are they now? I absolutely didn't deserve the first one, if you want to know more you can discuss it on PM. Yes, I disagree that the boards have been handled well, again, that is a subject for PM's. And I can discuss board moderation publicly, just as you and many others have done. Sheesh, get over yourself. My guess is that you are bucking for mod here. Personally, I would say you are not well suited for it emotionally.

LOL, I thought you would appriciate me pointing out who broke the rules, since it is something you yourself have publicly done. Your reasoning is flawed, it isn't OK to be mean. This is a simple concept in black and white. You can give your reasons without being mean. When you are mean you break board rules. I disagree with C, if you have some insight let me know, but I have had a pretty deep look into the mod proccess here and a few things really bothered me. If you want to know then PM me. One person and one team really, as I should well know. It will say the board admin discounts the boards users opinion, and if I don't like it I can discuss it and try to change it. If you don't like it and feel that leaving is the proper way to fix something you don't like, I won't try tro convince you otherwise.

Karzak, there is a difference between responding to an issue, and bringing it up to insult. Q?: Should Volourn be a mod. A!: No. Because X. Without the reasons, it'd just be "wtf? Why aren't you voting for me?" discussion. So you think this was a serious issue? LOL. The fact is that those that were mean in their responses broke board rules, period. End of statement. The people that just voted no are countable, the ones that broke board rules and were mean were not. on top of that, unpopular mods are better than popular ones sometimes, right? We have one person nominated for mod, no one else, right? When the next mod is appointed by decree, without a vote, like the ones we have now what will that say about board admin?

No they don't. Someone nominated Volourn for moderation position. Votes for "No." may, or may not be personal, but they cannot be ignore. It was the purpose of the thread. 3. # Thou shalt not mean to offend or hurt any other member, in a manner that is offensive, inflammatory, or just plain mean. Many of the comments were mean, those votes don't count, obviously those that break board rules shouldn't have a say in board moderation.

He got more votes than the present mods, didn't he? He also got an overwhelming majority vote against him. Those constitute a personal attack and are against board rules, so they have to be ignored in this case.

Uhm... if you mean MYTHICA, the MMORPG yes. To my knowledge Mythora is still under development, and due out in Q1 2004 over in euroland. my bad LOL, the websight game description is one huge plot spoiler.

KotOR not only suffered from poor multiclassing system, it suffered from a really poor choice of classes, feats and skills overall. The GURPS inspired FO system was better than the d20 bases KotOR system, unfortunately using d20 is probably a requirement.. The story doesn't have to revolve around being a jedi either. In fact you should be able to play through as any class.

And it should have a queen/senator, and maybe a prince/dogcatcher, and a mog named barf.

The story doesn't have to be a save the universe story. But it should have a huge army of (clones/robots/aliens) and a (battlestar/starforge) that needs destroying, and ewoks that you can kill. Oh, and Jar Jar Binks should be in as a required NPC.

I made the suggestion to one fat **** a long time ago that lightning bolt should open doors and chests as per the ruleset. I think they said they didn't have a copy of the players handbook to look up he spell.

I can live with it, until it is applied out of the blue. I know realistically there is no way to define what is and isn't spam without someone being able to read the definition or policy and get away with something through a loophole. I just want some kind of indication how this board is going to be moderated. The carbon copy rules are not much help. And since I am one of those posters who likes to work close to the limits I would like to know where the limits are before something is announced and the board gets active. And if you think about it the Admin and Mods should want to have some idea of where those limits are as well. Believe me, if Obs announces a game the abuse is coming.

Being my opinion doesn't mean it is personal. If that was the case every opinion post here is 1/3 of a ban. It is a topic the mods were not fond of, but it isn't a personal topic, it is a board topic like the poll. It doesn't just concern me. And haven't you posted several posts in this thread that fit your definition of personal? The moderation team is being MORE then lenient with you. They've tolerated your repeated insults, and rude comments.
