  1. I went jogging and went to classes.
  2. That's putting it lightly. Part of the equation though. People have spent the last 10 years callously making all kinds of personal information available on facebook and whatnot and then proceed to get mad when someone bothers to dig it up. The part of it related to threats is deplorable, but having your real life persona called out for something you said anonimously, that can actually be pretty helpful. I was speaking more towards those whose personal information(phone number, address, etc.) isn't publicly available. I believe it to be an invasion of privacy when personal information is leaked in such a manner.
  3. That's putting it lightly.
  4. Links bro? I JUS' DID. Real question is how the media is gonna mention Zoe again if she's guilty of some of the exact same **** she was complaining about. Without mentioning she did it. If they can ignore all the other things, they can ignore this too.
  5. Links bro? EDIT: Read the article, at first thought it was the same whiny noise I've come to expect, then I saw where his address was posted. Oh ****.
  6. Unfortunately that took me to Gawker, I feel dirty. I'm going to have to stifle a laugh here. You're throwing a fit because someone told your customers(Gawker believes its advertisers to be customers and readers its product) that you were insulting their potential customers? And you think calling advertisers names is going to encourage them to come back? How ****ing stupid are these people? Is there no editor there to look at this and go "maybe insulting the people who pay us isn't a great idea"? I find it utterly baffling the contempt they show for their customers and have to wonder how the ship hasn't already sunk. You **** already leaked Tarantino's script for Hateful Eight so we know you have no ethical standards, but this is just beyond ridiculous. Maybe next time there could be an alert that we will be directed to anti-gamergate sites. We don't want to give them views by mistake. In Orogun's defense, he meant to link an archive.

  8. Let's hope gg's limit break is something cool, like OMNISLASH!
  9. I guess that's it. The human race had a good run up until this point, but now it's time to slaughter them all. Proof that TN is a ****roach infiltrator from the post-nuclear apocalypse future.
  10. Prime example of why ANY censorship is bad. How dare you write a character who is an ass.
  11. It's Bio, the best you'll get is a throne fashioned through relationship drama.
  12. That's why I always threaten to stub people in the pinky toe.You should go for the big toe. Tough on crime and all that.
  13. The image that comes when I think of the SJW media is a child trying to shove a square peg into a round hole and growing increasingly frustrated by it not working yet refusing to give up. It should be clear by now that hostility will not make gamergate go away, so you think that by now someone would've tried a different approach. Improving ethical standards would probably work, as that is what ganergate is about. If gamergate was a misogynistic hate group like they claimed, pulling away it's shield would give it no credible reason to exist. I suppose implementing and abiding by ethical standards would be a bit harder and require more moral fiber than ****flinging though.
  14. He is so traumatized he went on Twitter to talk about it and is scheduled to be interviewed by several media outlets.
  15. How dare you threaten to kill the press, you misogywolf.
  16. If that was the Dragon Age Inquisition, shouldn't there be an emo dude and a VD infested pirate?
  17. What the hell is wrong with Canada recently? Rob Ford.
  18. A few headlines: "Female game developer driven out of industry by hateful males" "Misogyny is alive and well in gaming, says indie darling Philis Fish" "The sickening campaign of violence and hatred towards female developers by gamers is disgusting" Ignoring of course the very antagonistic tweets and statements by Fish. Because it's hard to sympathize with a victim who is a belligerent ****.
  19. Couple of devs talk about gg and internet harassment http://www.ibtimes.com/developers-gamergate-misogyny-isnt-gaming-problem-its-internet-problem-1707154 Linked in the above, GabeN gets a death threat http://www.ibtimes.com/steam-game-pulled-after-developer-tweeted-death-threats-valves-gabe-newell-1708906
  20. Thanks volo. I think I'm going to spread skills around pretty evenly. The custom Rangers are gonna have at least one ranged combat skill, and I'm gonna try to fit in all of the ass skills.
  21. I'm downloading this now, any advice for party creation?
  22. Downloading Wasteland 2 and drinking whiskey.
  23. No ****. I find it hilarious that a group of largely white straight dudes drone on and on about representation of women and minorities while doing **** all about getting more women and minorities into whatever is in question. I suppose its easier to take offense at the lack of minority people at a panel than to support products made by actual minority artists. I mean if you wanted to get more women into gaming, wouldn't supporting the games made by women be a better move than spinning a narrative of how gaming is hostile to women? Wouldn't highlighting women who have succeeded in the industry be a better motivator than whipping out statistics and proceeding to vigorously wag your finger at an I'll-defined target? How about at least not trying to sabotage groups like TFYC who are trying to do something about it? That would be a nice start, but from their statements I would assume that they would want to take a more active role than not doing any harm. *shrug* See, I think this is very true. I'm guessing that mainstream media coverage of gamergate will wane soon as it goes on to focus on something else, and the conversation will be between gamergate supporters who were thrown to the wolves and the writers who threw them to the wolves. Hyperbole yes, but I do think most actions of the gaming press have inflamed gamergate supporters rather than calming them down or getting them to back off. Accusations of misogyny or hatred directed at gamergate won't get it to back down because one of the main concerns I've seen most gamergate supporters share is that gaming media is unethical and that they use the guise of social justice to shield themselves from accusations of being unethical. So gaming press calling them misogynistic while dismissing their ethical concerns is going to piss them off and reinforce the idea that gaming press does not want to face accusations of unethical behavior, which is what happened. I believe that if dialogue does not happen, which is looking less likely, this flame war will just keep going and going. A big reason while I pretty much walked away from gamergate is that I no longer believe the gaming press is capable of abiding a standard of ethics and is piss poor anyways. When their gamergate articles became a circle jerk of quoting each other's blog posts and the most "proof" they can muster in support of their argument are tweets from the likes of "DuckScholar" and entries in ED, I seriously question their standards as journalists. I've been told by quite a few friends, real life and from internet forums, that gamergate was a waste of time because videogame journalism is crap and no amount of polishing will make it anything but a turd. At this point, I'm convinced that they're right and have no idea why I keep coming back and haven't just embraced the apathy. I wish this wasn't the case. I honestly hoped that gamergate would lead to more ethical gaming journalism and that discussions of representation in video games could have have occurred without finger-pointing and petty attacks. I want it so that whoever wants to play or make videogames is able to do so and is judged solely by their ability to play or make them. I want a wide market, where everything from Hatred to Dear Esther(I think both of these games are dumb personally) has a place and artists aren't shamed for their work because someone disagrees with it. I'm a 22 year-old man who has played video games since childhood and ****ing loves them. I find it sad that I have no credible news source for a hobby I spend a significant amount of my time and energy on, and that the news sources that exist think I'm part of an angry mob of white males trying to oppress women and minorities. Sorry for the wall o' text, I'm going to play video games and get drunk.
  24. If I would hazard a guess: "have as the foundation for (something); use as a point from which (something) can develop." I'd suppose it is because that Sommers showed support to GamerGate and is kinda mom-ish.
