Divisional Round: Saturday: Colts at Chiefs - I'm picking the upset here. The Colts O line is dominant and quite frankly I have my doubts that the Chiefs can stop them... ever. It's a matter of can the Chiefs keep up scoring with Indy. Plus, if there's one thing I can count on, it's Andy Reid screwing up clock management and challenges. Colts win. Cowboys at Rams - Muh Boys got no chance, none whatsoever. Rams win in a massive blowout. Sunday: Chargers at Patriots - I'm probably an idiot for picking against New England, but I think the Bolts are built to beat them. Chargers win. Eagles at Saints - By all rights New Orleans should win this game and easily, but some flukey bull will happen to keep Philly in it then Big **** Nick will pull a miracle game winning drive out of his ass. Eagles win.

It almost feels like Kansas City is being punished for getting the #1 seed by now having to play the Colts. I don't think anyone wants to play Indy right now.

Both NFC wild card games wound up being exciting and both AFC games wound up being embarrassing roflstomps. Next week muh boys take on the Rams. It's a winnable game for us but the Rams are still definitely the favorites.

The biggest positive to take away from our win was how well our defense played. We completely shut down the league's top running attack and mostly held Russel Wilson in check (he had some big plays but you can never shut Wilson completely down). Tyler Lockett burned us several times, but that dude is a force of nature. We lost Allen Hurns early into the game and he just had surgery, so he won't be back. Cole Beasley played but was noticably hobbled. Hopefully he's back to 100% by next weekend. We'll need to be firing on all cylinders whether we face the Rams or Saints.

We got us a close on on Dallas at the half. That's good, since the first game of the day was already over at the half.

Currently running a tri-color deck in draft in Artifact: Red and Black splashing Blue with Tidehunter, Timbersaw, Bounty Hunter, Sorla Khan, and Venomancer. It's kind of a mishmash of ideas without any 1 singular focus, but that tends to be the case with draft as opposed to constructed. Venomancer doesn't necessarily seem like an ideal splash hero, but I'm 2-0 so far so it's working.

The Colts are laying quite the ass whooping on the Texans.

Dammit people, stop picking the Cowboys to win. I'm trying to reverse jinx it!

Wild Card Weekend: Saturday: Colts at Texans - Tough one to call. If the Texans had their defense from a couple years ago I would easily pick them, but given how much they have slipped defensively, I'm favoring Indy to take a road win. Seahawks at Cowboys - Since the glory of the 90s dynasty muh Boys have a long storied history of immediate playoff exits, in those rare years we actually make the playoffs. So, I guess the only thing to do is to congratulate Seattle on what's essentially a bye. Sunday: Chargers at Ravens - I have zero faith in Baltimore. Bolts with an easy road win. Eagles at Bears - It all comes down to who starts for Philly. All jokes aside, the Eagles are a better team with Nick Foles at the helm. If he starts they win and we get a road sweep on wild card weekend. If Carson Wentz starts then the Bears take the win.

We make crêpes in Polish cuisine, we call them naleśniki. In our family, we tend to make them sweet as a desert dish. Typically, we do 2 different fillings: farmer cheese sweetened with sugar some manner of fruit preserve, often blackberry or raspberry, with some walnuts mixed in Then we top them with syrup.

Here's some reggae for the new year:

I'd be down for Ravenloft, Lovecraftian Horror, Wuxia, Arabian Nights, really anything besides traditional high fantasy. I'm just really burned out on the Tolkien-esque setting. I'll make a thread in the pen & paper section in the future once I have a more regular schedule.
-
Yes, it is called Legacy of Fire, unfortunately, it was made in OGL 3.5 rules and not PF rules, so game adaptation will probably never happen Maybe in the future, once I get a driving job with a more regular schedule, some of us forumites can get a Legacy of Fire p&p game going over the interwebs via roll20? I'm feenin' for some Arabian Nights roleplaying.

Happy New Year forumites.

It just occured to me that nearly every D&D game put out in the last 20 years has been in the Forgotten Realms. Of the traditional high fantasy settings, I was always more partial to Dragonlance. During the Gold Box days there were games set in Dragonlance, Forgotten Realms, Greyhawk, Ravenloft, and Dark Sun. There might have even been a game in that cool, but unfortunately short lived, Arabian Nights setting, Al Qadim, or whatever it was called. Has anyone made a non-Forgotten Realms D&D game since the Gold Box days? As an aside, does Pathfinder have an Arabian Nights type path?
-
Yeah, if you are looking for an authentic D&D experience then SCL will disappoint you and you might write an angry reddit post. If you go into it with an open mind and can get past the fact that the D&D naming is nothing more than a thin coat of paint, then you may enjoy the game.
-
I wouldn't put it on any GotY lists, but I enjoyed SCL. The thing I liked best about it was that the companion AI was surprisingly competent, allowing me to mostly just control my main. I don't mind constantly micromanaging an entire party when it's turn-based, but I absolutely loath it in RTwP, so if the companion AI sucks, or doesn't exist *glares menacingly at Pillars*, it goes a long way toward ruining the experience for me. I don't remeber what class I played, but it was most likely a priest or warrior type, since that's what I gravitate toward. The OC is significantly better than the expansion, which was very obviously a rush job.

Condolences, Hurlshot.

Sunovabich, looks like the Iggles are sneaking into the playoffs. Now my only hope is that Carson Wentz gets healthy and that they're stupid enough to start him in the playoffs. If they leave Nick Foles as starter they'll probably just win the Superbowl again and I hate everything.

I've been going ham on Grim Dawn. The loot treadmill in that game is just so satisfying. I'm currently in the Tyrant's Hold area. I wonder what Crate Entertainment will put out next? They could do another Grim Dawn expansion, but this game feels quite complete as is with the excellent Ashes of Malmouth expansion. Will they make Grim Dawn 2: Cthonic Boogaloo?

Muh Boys won a meaningless game against the G-Men. I guess the most notable thing about the game was Blake Jarwin catching 7 passes for 119 yards and 3 TDs, which naturally prompts the question "who the **** is Blake Jarwin?"
