  1. I think it is impossible to make good characters in a game with their own personality, their own past and secrets, wishes and hopes and letting those characters interact with each other WITHOUT including romances between them. I like flirting and romancing with Party-NPCs and I think in BG2 that was a lot of fun (romance existed paralell to main story line but most romance interactions appeared randomly and surprising and were well written, so you had kind of a cliffhanger for the next interaction and then had to wait for it) As many said, the poll is very one-sided written. I can live without romance "options" (so several NPCs that I can start a romance with and that make it impossible to have other romances), but I think romance, love and sex should be a part of this game and this also for the PC.
  2. I would like to see about 40+ hours of gameplay when the game reaches 3.5 M+ in funding. If a RPG is too short, then u cannot really get into the story and scenario and I think such a game really has to focus on content instead of graphics. Also the map has a lot of locations, I would be quite sad, if most of those appear just in dialogue or DLCs. But I also am someone that wastes a lot of time searching every corner and talking to everyone (Risen 2 took me 40 hours in first playthrough as well), so I guess I can live with what ever they will produce.
  3. Voice-over in important/emotional situations of main story is enough for me as well. I also like to see Companions discuss with each other and the main char with important events or events that are important to them because of their character/race/past. But I also like them talking to each other and me while just walking, showing their character and sharing their past, showing interest in each other or picking a fight (like in bg2- it was a lot of fun how in the middle of a random quest the Companions started to talk to each other and we had just a minor possibility to influence the conversation - the companions had their own head and agenda). Same for romances, it was fun to wait for the next step in a romance and not knowing exactly when this step will come because it didn't only depend on main story.
  4. I agree that it should make sense with story. I would like something like NWN2 as well (so more to do with house and not just storage opportunity). I would like to see it customizable with race/class (so for example u can add a magetower and magestuff-salesperson to your fortress as a mage) but I wouldn't make a full different housing for every class/race. I would love to see a ship as housing in a RPG again, but that may not be the right game for such a thing). Mabye in Risen 3 someday?
  5. Well we have Mac and Linux-Versions as stretchgoals as well and those also do not bring any benefit to many backers. I don't see many people complain about that. Still I think it is important to also include things that open the game to people that otherwise would not be able to play it, so translations should of course be a stretchgoal up the road. Since this game probably will include a lot of text, translation will be expensive and it may be smart to only include the most important languages at first. But I really really like player housing, NWN2-stronghold was a lot of fun and Bg2 stronghold also (even though there wasn't a lot to do there). If you don't like it, you are free to just ignore it just like the guys that play solo will ignore Companions. I think it is weird that people complain about features just because they wouldn't use it even though it doesn't have any downpoints.
  6. Having all dialogue options would feel like cheating to me, because a dumb main character just wouldn't be able to form a highly philosophical answer, while an intelligent but physicly weak person wouldn't intimidate with physical strength. I would like to see the dialogue options hidden that do not fit the character. But of course it would be nice to have it a bit balanced (so every skill having positive effect in appropriate moments and not just 1 skill like intelligence that dominates dialogue - because then everyone would take this skill anyway). Then the game would also give a good replay value. PLEASE don't show any skills or percentages in dialogue. I don't mind percentages of success influencing the dialogue in background though. In well written RPGs percentages/skill levels and such destroy immerson/flow for me.
  7. I love stretch goals and I see nothing wrong with the communication. Of course it is a general problem that people don't really see expenses like taxes, kickstarter and amazon costs, production costs of boxes and prices, costs for programs and engines, hardware, rent, wages and social costs and even communications on the forums costs time and thus money. On the other hand, if people knew exactly how much of their money will go to such things they maybe will pay even less, because they want to fund the development directly and not collateral-costs
  8. I hope there will be enough outdoor areas beside the dungeons. Loved this with BG1 and 2 and P:T. Not sure about this with the names on the map yet. ^^
  9. It would be interesting to see how much money other projects raised in such a short time to compare. I think it is possible to reach 4-5 M. especially if many other gamer medias spread the news. And I think this is also needed for producing a good RPG (with hopefully many hours of innovative gameplay).
