  2. Here's your source for the five party members, kids: http://venturebeat.com/2017/01/26/pillars-of-eternity-ii-deadfire-is-obsidians-first-stab-at-crowdfunding-on-fig/
  3. It's a Gamergate thing, basically. There's no reason for a normal backer not to use Fig. It's the developers who should be worried about it, they're the ones who end up with investors they have to pay back. And ironically normal backers avoiding Fig only makes them more beholden to said investors, so the whole anti-Fig thing is kind of self-destructive.
  4. I thought the statue of Maros was detached from the adra pillars by beetles. Did the adra grow back after you killed them? haha ninja'd
  5. Looks like a female Island Aumaua. A native of the Deadfire Archipelago, or one of Kana Rua's warlike sisters?
  6. Confirmed - Pillars of Eternity 2: Deadfire: http://forums.obsidian.net/topic/91169-confirmed-pillars-of-eternity-2-deadfire/
  7. Blacklist Polygon now! http://webcache.googleusercontent.com/search?q=cache:25PgS_O4z48J:www.polygon.com/2017/1/26/14389930/pillars-of-eternity-2-deadfire-announcement-crowdfunding-fig+&cd=2&hl=en&ct=clnk&gl=il
  8. Polygon leaked the news early by accident, then took it down. These other ****ty blogs are just reposting it.
  9. Not the first time we've seen the word "Hel": https://books.google.co.il/books?id=0F1qCAAAQBAJ&printsec=frontcover#v=onepage&q=hel&f=false
  10. I understand if you can't get too deep into details, but how do you know that with any kind of certainty? Did I miss some news, an interview, or what have you about the project? https://youtu.be/73cYTlul9vM?t=1365
  11. Hard to believe they'd commit to a release date at this stage. Maybe an hour of the day?
  12. I think 'It's a pity'. Vailian glossary: https://www.instagram.com/p/BFPcvG-Jx21/
  13. All Obsidian games have state code names. That this one happened to be Lousiana and play into people's fantasies about a Fallout: New Orleans (egged on by Chris Avellone!) is just a weird and amusing coincidence.
  14. It was one of Tim Cain's inspirations in designing Fallout, believe it or not: https://crpgbook.wordpress.com/review-index/1992-star-control-2/
  15. Infinitron - this is entirely off-topic but I have been wondering for years: what the heck is your portrait depicting? http://wiki.uqm.stack.nl/Melnorme
  16. They actually already use state capitals. Pillars of Eternity 1 was one - Project Trenton. No idea what Project Dover and Project Harrisburg were.
  17. It makes the most sense, but I'm actually not sure about that second 'D'. It doesn't really look like the Huana 'T' either though.
