  1. You are discussing with a, well, I won't judge him too quickly, but he might be related to creatures from nordic mythology... Boys will be boys. This is not about womens rights, Takamori. Its about realism and a believable world. Well sorry for that then, I'm kinda getting grumpy with the "romance and feminism" subject being over discussed and people not giving relevance to stuff like the game itself. Regarding the realism, you need all kind of people in the world, thin, athletic , fat , ugly, beautiful and all the combinations that we are used to see on the real world. Sorry for laughing at the people who doesn't want a ugly person in their party, but hell what is wrong with you, the human nature is made of imperfection, is pretentious to seek perfection when we are made of flaws. If you are a good leader you need to get through all these differences, normally the game set you as the "party leader" nothing more natural to throw you these challenges. Regarding sexism, you need to see how both are portrayed, how is the culture of X society, history , how they behave in their routine...So asking for a perfect humanist society in a game where you adventure find what the society can bring of worst, is kinda a unrealistic wish. You can have one society thriving for those goal of course, but you need to deal with differences.
  2. Beating the dead horse, don't worry about the subject Josh Sawyer is taking care of it. We should discuss stuff like game mechanics and fun factors instead of trying to turn the game into a waifu simulator and a empty fight for women rights. Get your priorities in the right place
  3. Don't be sorry for something that you didn't do. If there is retards over the internet, well patience, don't apologize for it , just be one of the many that defend the good behavior.
  4. As long is not a cutting neon bar its all right. And yes having some design besides the historical one is a good thing, the designers won't feel attached to a few set of armor, they can develop ones to be visually appealing but following the basic armor laws.
  5. Hope there is a option to forge your own armor with the many historical designs available. Or at least give the option to the player to seek X culture inside of the game to pick that design philosophy. Sorry for the somehow necro, but didn't want to start a new thread with this one alive.
  6. You know, even heroes sometimes cry and need a lovely hug. (Having options in a game is always good), As much as I love having options in games, I think having options is the problem, for any kind of relationship outcome. It's the gamer's interference that breaks things not the writers'(unless they are bad writers). Like I mentioned in my opinion the "romance" should come due to the player initiative , not from your npcs that out of nowhere falls in love for your hero due to his "heroic acts", besides being a overused formula, makes no sense , it's just a guy doing his duty. Also someone mentioned "friendship points" , please this is a so wrong concept of friendship, you teach your player that friendship is a bloody score, at least in my point of view this is anti ethical.
  7. You know, even heroes sometimes cry and need a lovely hug. Well I'm not against the option(Having options in a game is always good), but hope its not throw in my face like certain games, make the hero take the initiative. Person : Oh you are so heroic while you behead those villains! All this blood makes me fall in love for you! Protagonist:
  8. Eh, seriously I'm a damn hero worried with demons, undeads, bloody murders and w/e the worst of society can throw at me, you think that I will have time to think about romance? Geez.
  9. Well I'm not obsessive regarding tropes, women right's won't alter if someone do a bikini chain mail or add a thief girl with cat ears. But I'm against like, the men in that setting have realistic plate armor and then for no reason bikini chain mail , feels like out of place. Now for romance, chill guys after playing F:NV there won't be any romances just the "almost" there.I like that way, your character is too busy being the bastion of heroism to fall in love. Or the women have their own plans already instead of following your crazy quest to save the world (or destroy dunno how you roll).
