  1. Playing shooters with a mouse and keyboard is more fun but playing games with a controller is a whole lot more comfortable. I prefer playing games with a controller unless it's Red Orchestra or some PC exclusive.
  2. Kingdom Hearts 1.5 Final Mix I was turned off by the fetch-quests in the tutorial at first but once the story started I found it to be rather interesting and mysterious. Gonna finish all Kingdom Hearts games before Kingdom Hearts 3 is out.
  3. Of philosophy and gaming? You could say so:
  4. War is still a good business I guess...
  5. Well, since my dad used to be a diplomat back in the days I can safely say that it never happened to me in: -Havana -London -Vienna -Frankfurt am Main Don't know, maybe I was...*ehum*...lucky?! If that happened in London the guy would have stopped, helped you up, dusted you off, apologized and bought you lunch. The Brits are just cool like that. They tend to obey and respect the rules of driving a whole lot more, never mind their attitude. This is how people drive in Iran: NSFW:

  7. -went out -bought Watch Dogs 2 & Kingdom Hearts 2.8 Prologue -had some lunch -got hit by a bike on my way back while I was crossing the street, the dude who was driving the bike didn't apologize and sent a hail of bad words -wanted to beat him sh*tless -decided not to do so because his wife was riding on the back, good thing he didn't leave the bike because I was staying right there and would have broken his useless nose had he approached me or something No injuries but I did report the dude to the police, I was clearly walking on the crosswalk and looked both sides before he decided to take the easy route(the line in the middle, he wanted to get ahead fast) and hit me without pulling the breaks. Luckily he hit me in the chest before hitting my leg. Yup, it's Tehran alright. More than often I come to the conclusion that the west actually did a favor to everyone when they decided to colonize 2/3 of the world...
  8. Thanks for the info, bro. Well it seems that it is pretty much a smiliar experience to DA: I. I'll buy it if I can find a second copy for cheap, sometimes the need for some outer space action suddenly kicks in. Also, I might buy and give Prey a try. Never mind the input lag or the dodgy framerate on the PS4, I am very happy that Bethesda is giving money to Machine Games to make the Wolfenstein game we all want and I am even more happy with the fact that they decided to give The Evil Within a second chance, that trailer was sick and it will be a day one buy for me...Shinji Mikami FTW!
  9. It sill amazes me how ME2 and DAO (for different reasons) can have such great tutorial levels that are fun to replay while MEA and DAI have horribly linear tutorial levels that are a pain to play through again. How bad is ME: A? I played Dragon Age: Inquisition and thought that the story was horrid but it was fun to roam around and craft things(for a while) and the -mostly empty- locations where fun to look at. Overall I gave it a solid 6/10!
  10. I remember replaying Mass Effect 2 quite a few times. That game is always fun to play from time to time.
  11. Titanfall 2's single-player campaign was one of the best I have played in years.
  12. Yup, DICE could have made the Battlefield: Bad Company 3 everybody wanted but they didn't and probably never will.
  13. I apologize, sir. I thought you meant the year of Final Fantasy VII, Mario Kart 64, Blast Corps, Turok: Dinosaur Hunter, Castlevania: Symphony of the Night, Need for Speed II, Dungeon Keeper, Shadow Warrior, Blood, MDK, Harvest Moon, Final Fantasy Tactics (Japan), Star Fox 64, Carmageddon, GoldenEye 007(GoldenEye 64), Hexen II, Oddworld: Abe's Oddysee, Ultima Online, Fallout, Total Annihilation, Grand Theft Auto, Star Wars Jedi Knight: Dark Forces II, Age of Empires, Riven, Blade Runner, The Curse of Monkey Island, Tomb Raider II, Quake II and Gran Turismo.

  15. Ahhhhhhh...Metacritic! The place where 13 year old kids gather around from time to time to p*ss on the single good game that they don't happen to own. What better source to use for a research when it comes to video games, eh?! It's funny because I usually end up reading the reviews that are rated 6 when I check out Metacritic, those tend to be the neutral ones, at least they let you know how the game plays... Also 2001? Seriously!!! What the hell happened to 2007 then?! Just check out ACG, EasyAllies or GiantBomb. Most of these guys have been in the video games industry since forever and based on what they say, I really don't think there will be a video games industry crash...unless Steam and its collection of games become vaporware or something. Look what we got this year from Japan: Tales of Berseria, Yakuza Zero, Final Fantasy XV, Nioh, Nier: Automata, Atelier: Firis, new Zelda, Persona 5, Resident Evil 7, etc. and we'll be getting few more A-Bombs this year as well, all polished games, wih no need for day zero patch, and no microtransactions... although FFXV should not count, because SE is going games as a service road as well, to stay competitive with west, and it is already being seen on FFXV season pass startegy... Maybe that's because they spend the money on Story and design instead of 4K textures and purdy graphics. Not that Japanese games look bad or something, but if you compare Nier: Automata to Horizon: Zero Dawn for instance you can clearly see the different approach the devs have taken. Western games rely waaaaaay to much on graphics, gimmicks and the so called "innovation", Japanese on the other hand simply tell a good story. Example: I finished Silent Hill 2 a few days ago and noticed that it had very awkward combat, same as Silent Hill 1. What I do with these games is that I set combat difficulty(or simply the difficulty settings) on Easy so it won't bother me. I enjoy the games regardless of the combat every time. Then I remembered what Swery 65 had to say about Deadly Premonition(Red Seeds Profile in Japan): "This game wasn't meant to have combat, we added it at the very final stages of development." As you can guess, the combat in the game sucked but why did they absolutely have to add it to the game? The western audience likes guns in their games and it might not sell if we don't include it in our game.
  16. Silent Hill 3. It looks quite different compared to Silent Hill 2 but I am liking it, it reminds me of Silent Hill 4 a bit. Once this is all done I'll probably go for Silent Hill: Downpour since that's the only one I got besides 1,2 & 3. I'll skip SH4 since I already played and finished the game back in 2006. Has anyone here played any of the Wii or PSP Silent Hill games? are they any good?
  17. I think you're mistaking 1998 for 1997. Yeah, that's the famous one. I was talking about 'the second one', you know...like when you talk about the 7 wonders of the ancient world and then you proceed to talk about the 7 wonders of the modern world.

  19. Do people have short memories? I'm honestly curious because part of what ruins any replays for me is basically remembering every single quest and every single outcome after I've played through before. So instead of any sense of awe, I end up reacting like, "And now he'll say this" or "And now this happens next". Happens all the time with the Mario series, doesn't ruin the fun though...
  20. Silent Hill 2 OST - Promise
  21. Finished Silent Hill 2.
  22. I am liking Elex more and more with each video: It reminds me of Fallout: New Vegas for some reason.
  23. Super Mario Galaxy. It looks gorgeous and it's a whole lot of fun to play.
