  1. The only 2019 release I played was: Death Stranding It was ok. I liked the setting but the story wasn't anything groundbreaking, as a matter of fact, it was all over the place. It really showed that these guys had a limited time and budget. I enjoyed the gameplay, save for the parts were I had to deal with the tacked on 'combat'. I enjoyed traversing the world though. Oddly enough, the part that enjoyed the most was, well...delivering packages. Big surprise! As for non-2019 releases: SOMA My personal GOTY 2019. The thing is, I went in blind. If you haven't played SOMA yet, don't bother reading the description. This is what I call a good story. This is a fine example of how you can make the gamer relate to characters. I also liked the puzzles. My only gripes with the game? a.it had bugs, I had to reload a few times...on the PS4 b. the stealth was obviously annoying at times but with the new update, you can 'turn it off'. Batman: The Telltale Series Well I'll be damned, I liked this! You want a gritty Batman game/movie? You got it. This is as gritty as it gets and I liked it. If you have any appreciation for Batman, give this a try. A very mature story that keeps you interested all the way to the end. What Remains of Edith Finch A very short experience, but one that I won't forget anytime soon. It's all about the things that you don't expect to happen...this game scared me. Not by jump-scares mind you, but by making me realize what is all possible in this scary world we live in. Resident Evil 0 I finally got around to finishing this. Sure, the item management WILL eventually get on your nerves, but that grim and foreboding feeling you get by exploring the mansion was something that kept me interested in the game. I guess it is also worth mentioning that I played the game on the easy difficulty setting. Didn't feel like getting stuck halfway through because the game can be pretty hard at times. Quantum Break Not bad...not bad at all. Certainly more enjoyable compared to Alan Wake. I liked the combat and gunplay and story certainly had it's moments. I will give it another go at some point and see how it plays out with different choices. Yup, that's about it.
  2. Playing God of War(2018) for the first time. Took me a few hours to get used to it but I'm liking it. It sure looks gorgeous though, and I am playing it on a base PS4. Also playing Drakengard on the PS2. Man, this game made me rediscover my love for the PS2.
  3. I might get back to Battleborn and finish the Singleplayer campaign now that Gearbox is pulling the plug on it. You'd expect them to let you play the singleplayer campaign but nooooo, the game will be unplayable according to Gearbox. Now I have no chance of playing the DLCs either. Digital distribution is the future they said... EDIT: This is a bonus I guess, anybody noticed this? 😆
  4. RDR1 on the 1X:
  5. Finished Death Stranding a while ago. It was pretty good. Combat was bad thought, that area felt totally tacked on/lacking. But now I am hearing stuff about Hideo Kojima wanting to do a horror game. That sounds like good news to me. Playing 2 games at the moment: -Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel -Drakengard They are both ok. I am enjoying Drakengard and its weird story quite a bit. Borderlands on the other hand is just mindless fun, good for the times when you want to shoot stuff.
  6. Serial Experiments Lain might just be the weirdest thing I've watched so far. It is both mysterious and weird. I also finished watching Blue Gender a few days ago. I enjoyed it.
  7. Playing SOMA. Great stuff. I really love the premise.
  8. Funcom hasn't lost its touch over the years, this looks great: https://youtu.be/kfgzw7qjOOk
  9. As a Contra fan, I must admit, I am blown away by this trailer:
  10. These: Now, to read through this entire thing: https://lparchive.org/Ryuu-ga-Gotoku-Kenzan/
  11. I've been playing Sonic Mania and good god am I enjoying this. If you like 2D Sonic, you're gonna eat this one alive.
  12. Wow, this looks amazing: https://youtu.be/a8l9rnK7RBs
  13. It sure looks that way. As a matter of fact, it looks breathtaking!
  14. The new Borderlands 2 dlc is only free until July 9th so grab it while you can because it will cost you 15 bucks after that. https://www.eurogamer.net/articles/2019-06-09-the-leaked-borderlands-2-dlc-that-links-to-borderlands-3-can-now-be-downloaded-for-free
  15. Blizzard cancels another StarCraft fps game: https://www.eurogamer.net/articles/2019-06-06-blizzard-reportedly-cancels-first-person-starcraft-shooter *extreme sadface*
  16. Playing Perfect Dark on the Xbox One. Now I remember why I liked RARE's fps games so much back in the days: each level is like a small sandbox you get to explore. I was wondering what games give you a similar experience and the new HITMAN games came to mind.
  17. Looks sweet!
  18. They released this a while ago: http://kentuckyroutezero.com/un-pueblo-de-nada/ It is an interlude set between Act IV and Act V. I'd say the release shouldn't be all that far since the game is also being released for the Nintendo Switch. That is basically me but I quit hard drugs.
  19. I came across a copy of TES: Oblivion GOTY Edition for the 360 and couldn't say no. It's fun to play older games on the 1X with a resolution boost.
  20. Chronomaster Space Quest IV Monkey Island 2: Lechuk's Revenge World Cup 98 Fallout Quake 2 TLOZ: Ocarina of Time The Last Ninja Shadow of the Beast 2 Final Fight Super Mario World ...
  21. Ahhh, such an exhausting day. We had to install uPVC windows in the balcony and my bedroom. Replacing the old window in my bedroom with the new one turned out to be a real hassle. By 6 pm, my room was filled with metal debris/dust. I just threw all of my sheets in the washing machine afterwards and boy am I glad that I decided to cover the TV and my gaming consoles before the whole thing started.
  22. The only question I have regarding this topic is: why would you pay for cosmetics...at all?! I enjoyed unlocking skins in Borderlands 2 but paying for something like that?! I still haven't been able to figure this out. By comparison, it was a whole lot easier to understand what the Higgs Boson is. Kids these days, they remind me of piglets, just frantically running around, oinking and sh*tting everywhere...
  23. Platinum Games are up to something: https://www.eurogamer.net/articles/2019-05-05-platinumgames-next-game-is-something-that-has-never-been-done-before
  24. The Talos Principle I have seen about 1/3 of the game so far and it is truly amazing. Some puzzles that look impossible at first are solveable if you truly focus and use your brain. If anything, this game has tought me that no matter what people think or say, I am still an intelligent person.
