I always found Half Life series extremely over-rated. I played both the first and the second game but didn't manage to finish neither of them because of the boredem. I have been playing SW: Republic Commando for 3 or 4 days now and it's great. Actually, I've added it to my all time fave. FPS games list: 1- No One Lives Forever 2- Tron 2.0 3- AVP2 4- Republic Commando

The purchase server is telling me it's at capacity. :'( Well, actually I was downloading the demo not the full game. I tried to purchase the game several times, but no luck. It's 5.40AM now, so I'll try again tomorrow.

I doubt. I tried everything including updating the drivers, re-installing the game and even rebooting the system, but couldn't get rid of the problem, which means I booted the game up several times and the problem remained. Anyway, installing that codec pack was unnecessary in the first place. Gom Player already has everything I need.

Well, this is a weird one. When enemies die, they just disappear. No death animation or something. They just go. Is this a known issue with the game? What should I do? This issue has destroyed all of my desire to play the game. edit: Ok. Problem solved. Solution was as weird as the problem itself. I uninstalled the K-Lite Mega Codec Pack and everything got back to normal.

Well, if you're a fan of long, complex conversation trees, very strategic battles, lots of NPCs with different personalities then it won't appeal to you as much as it did to me. But if you're looking for an old-school feeling, a logical character system, a brand new(yet not so original) world that waiting to be explored and great production values, you can't go wrong with E:B I.The game is really greater than sum of its parts and deserves that $30. Aquaria will be available this friday BTW.

I've beaten Eschalon: Book I and seen the all possible three endings. One of the best games I've played in recent years. So my next indie purchases will be: - Teudogar and the Alliance with Rome (Already bought the game. Just waiting the CD to arrive) - Aquaria - Depths of Peril - Starscape - Aveyond 2 (Not sure about this one. First game was OK but it's really easy to find free RPGMaker games that easliy match Aveyond)

!SPOILER! Well, this one contains massive spoilers about Eschalon: Book I. So, if you really don't want to be spoiled do not click for the full size.

Graphics don't look that bad. Indeed they don't. They even look better in motion. Anyway, I'm nearing the end of the Eschalon: Book I. I haven't had so much fun with a CRPG since Arcanum. Damn, fun game. And also, I will be playing Teudogar and the Alliance with Rome this weekend. I've just ordered my CD. http://www.teudogar.com/ So much game, so little time.

Star Wars: Republic Commando. One of the most atmospheric Star Wars games ever. It easily beats the KotOR series.
