  1. WTF is this the Bioware boards ?
  2. Staglands is RtwP and looks really good. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zmjZYIndaCA
  3. Come on Obsidian. Convert the system to be turn based for Pillars 2. Tim Cain said it would be easy to do.
  4. Lets not Ugh...leave that kiddie HS crap for JRPG territory. I facepalm/cringe every time I hear Chris bring that up. He needs to put that one to rest for good.
  5. You do know that combat is a part of this mythical “role-playing” that’s supposed to exist in RPGs, right? You can fight like a fighter, hide in shadows/pick locks with your thief, cast spells with mages, priests etc... Didn't mean to also quote you, Caesar.
  6. I'm talking about the KIND of action. If you'd like to read Gizmo's post on the first page (#17) ...that would explain exactly what I'm talking about, pretty much. Story[--------]s gonna story[--------] Volly, you know that. And I love me some RPGs like Planescape, Bloodlines, Betrayal at Krondor, Fallout 1/2/NV....but story is NOT the be all end all when it comes to RPGs, as it's a pretty short list of ones that can stand up on that aspect alone. Story[--------]? You homophobic or something? What's next, you high-fiveing people on the forums and exclaiming "Nohomo!" Haha...relax...it's just an expression.

  8. BS. Played it recently and it was awesome.
  9. Nostalgia is always used as the default rebuttal by people who don't understand what made a genre/game popular or loved by the people discussing it in the first place. The fact is that many RPG fans have been disillusioned by how modern (AAA) RPG's have placed an ever-increasing emphasis on action to increase marketability, reduced dialogue/gameplay choices because of the constraints of voice-acting,/graphics, ect... stripped away depth, challenge and complexity because it doesn't "appeal to a mainstream audience".

  11. Lost Files of Sherlock Holmes by Mythos was the best one. It actually was a series of 2 games.. The Case of the Serrated Scalpel and The Case of the Rose Tattoo.
  12. Hmm..this place is a strange mix it seems. Where the fresh water meets the saltwater.
  13. Haven't played the beta but I always thought this feature would make rtwp more tolerable. I'd still pause, cause I like control (as a tb guy) Plus you can enjoy all the spell effects, ect...more... see the rolls/get the feedback... hope there's a difficulty high enough for that style of play.
  14. I doubt kickstarter would generate enough to do a Star Trek game justice. I hope you're only referring to licencing fees.
